We tried to sign Diony in the past, but it didn't come off, similar price to what we would be paying if he joins this summer though.

Looked good today when he came on I thought, likes to put himself about a bit and has a bit of pace too which is what we’ve been lacking up top this season.. when djuric is back our striking options are looking very good.

Romain Saiss not in the squad today, possible that he's going to sign for Fiorentina.

Strange comment from LJ on the radio after the game about Lois being our number 1 target in the summer. It doesn't say much for Fammy who, I think, has a major say in whether we go up or not.

We’re after getting Lee Chung Yong back from Palace, along with Jordan Mutch. Both would be a much needed improvement of quality in midfield.

Weren’t they both named as strikers of the year?

I think he was aiming to get the 2 best strikers from that league not a slight on matey

Fulham trying to sign Freeman for £4m apparently, presumably it would be if Cairney leaves.

Reading loaning in Tommy Elphick I see. If you get the Bournemouth Elphick you'll have a solid centre back for this level. Villa hasnt done him any favours it seems.

In other news it's suggested that poor old Benik Afobe is heading to Wolves, on a loan for now it seems. According to the normally reliable where we're concerned Pete O'Rourke.

Bloke can't buy a goal at the moment, his confidence is shot and some of his misses in front of goal lately have been embarrassing.
If Wolves can rebuild him at that level, then pay us a good load of dosh in the summer when they come up, that could work out well for both clubs.
There's a lot to like about him so I really hope he comes good, there might even be a chance he returns here next season. Although at this point that looks unlikely:

Stam's lost his head, couldn't think of a worse footballing fit than Elphick to Reading under Stam. He can't play out to save his life.

Can't see us going back for him, think people are putting 2+2 together and getting 5. He used to play for us and gave us some very good memories, but I think we have moved on, and the way he left still leaves a sour taste to be honest.

If we did get him I think all would be forgotten and we'd all welcome him back, but I'd rather wait to the summer and bring someone better in. If he can't score for Bournemouth in the prem, i'm not sure how useful he would be for us.

Seems like he can't make his mind up this Pete O'Rourke. A couple off hours after saying he's going to Wolves, he's now saying he's going to Villa.

Harry Toffolo signed from Norwich.

Cahill expected to put pen to paper later on today.

Good little player Toffolo, though Meredith has done well for you hasn't he? I'd suggest that Meredith is a better well rounded left back but decent cover nonetheless.

Yeah I have heard this as well. Not played that well recently but is still our best outfield player. Would want more than 4 million for him, especially as they will be 15 million better off. Probably isn't worth more than 4 mil but some transfer fees are really inflated.

Regarding the Afobe deal, apparently we only want him as a one off loan deal with no strings attached, whilst Bournemouth want to sell him permanently or loan him out with a view to a permanent move in the summer. For that reason I can't see us getting him.

I imagine he has been signed as Meredith's understudy. Means Tony Craig will probably leave the club to join a lower league side (probably Sarfend).

Heard that Rovers are after Craig on the weekend, he's getting on a bit so they'd probably be able to cover his wage if no fee was attached.

Leeds, Forest and QPR are all after our midfielder Funso Ojo. Reportedly a fee of 900k is what they're all offering. He's been by far our best player this season. We got him on a free in summer so that would be a quick 900k but without him our play-off hopes are down the drain so we better not sell him.

EDIT: Just seen in the report 900k is just his transfermarket valuation and not an actual figure. Not sure how much we'd get then.

We've got a youngster from Ireland coming in, Chiedozie Ogbenie, probably for the development team. Highly rated it seems, had a trial at Chelsea last summer, but not expecting anything from him in the short term.

Justin Shaibu has gone on loan to Walsall, so with Vibe going we're down to just the one striker, would guess we'll bring someone in, but maybe we'll try some of our midfielders up top as we seem a bit overstocked in that area.

Any chance of Brentford willing to do a deal with Ollie Watkins do you reckon? Howe very keen, but apparently the two club's valuations are currently far apart. Obviously talented and I doubt we're the only PL side looking at him.

Always amazes me that Brentford take a chance on a lower league striker for a pittance and get big money from the PL or bigger clubs for them, perhaps these clubs should take a punt themselves.

Few reports come out this afternoon suggesting this is true Jockney, doesn't seem to be a few attached to the deal. Decent signing for them even given his age?

I've also seen that. Appears there's something in it. Good servant for us but I think his best years were at Brentford to be honest. Never really won over the doubters here, despite his efforts. A really big influence in the dressing room, but I can't imagine him being a regular if Rovers have genuine promotion ambitions (next season).
