He nearly left after signing his last deal so this might be protecting the club as well (buy out clause). I agree he's got to be our top earner now or at least equal with the likes of Fammy and Baker.

I didn’t think Fammy be on much

Doubt you'll have much say in the fee.....

He's tied down to another 3 years after this, we could realistically charge what we want. It's not like Fosun are short of a few quid, it would take astronomical money to make us part with our prize asset.

Think every Wolves fans knows he will leave for a big team sooner rather than later, we just enjoy him while we can. Players like him only play for a team like Wolves once in a generation.

Mendes will have a clause in his deal, one that benefits him not Wolves IMHO.

Possibly. We can't really complain if he does either to be fair. If it wasn't for Mendes we'd be spending money on midfielders like George Saville and Lee Evans rather than Neves.

I'd be surprised at any of the elite tier clubs moving for him this season (unless we don't get promoted) One great season at this levek doesn't translate to starting at a time like Man Utd. A club at that level know they can pretty much take any player anyway so I'd imagine most would be waiting to see how he performs if we get up.

Wolves fans...

Jordan Graham doing the rumour rounds our end. Any good? Sounds like he's had a bad time with injury.

Brilliant the season before last, infact he contributed to 12 assists in 12 games, an incredible run that is a club, and probably league record. Wolves fans still think very highly of him, but hasn't really been the same since his injury. Was on loan at Fulham earlier in the season but didnt really play for them. If he gets back to what he was before his injury he is a player too good for this level. Hope he does whether it's with or without us.

Apparently we’re going after Rhodes again in the Summer (tried to bring him in Jan). Not sure what to make of it to be honest, scored for fun at this level a couple of year back, not so much since then.
Ability must still be there, hopefully we can bring it out in him should he sign for us.

I thought Bolton had learnt from spunking millions on Championship mercenaries?

if they win 10 penalties per season Rhodes is a great signing, if not he's the most over-rated wankstain because he once scored 30 goals which around 12 were pens

He's that good at pens he was scared to take one in the playoff semi final.

Alan Nixon claiming we're interested in Charlton's Karlan Ahearne-Grant. Currently on loan at Crawley where he has bagged 8 in 9.

Tarky's debut is netting us another £1m from Burnley. Deal has ended up being a pretty good one, but it's a shame we couldn't have kept him for longer.

Always said he'd play for England, but you mostly expect to be wrong haha

You're right, it's only £500k if it's a friendly. There's another £500k up for grabs if he plays a competitive game. Would have been £1m straight up if this was a competitive game.

Unfortunately we get something paltry for Mawson (as it goes through 2-3 sell ons) should he come off the bench today.

Barmy that England could have two ex-Brentford CBs in their team today

That was the issue I flagged with the FA people running my coaching when I did it (maybe 5 years ago now for context) they had just brought in the elite ppp thing. There idea being it would be easier for the top clubs to get the best young players. Pointed out at the time to them that the England team at the time had about 3 players from the big 6.

They have 3 ex blades in the team, well 2 proper blades and one we had on loan.

You clearly weren't there, he was the only player that could come out with any credit.
