think the championship is a little tougher than people give it credit for, how many names over the years have failed to impress down here? quite a few i'd say

Glad we’re playing Villa tonight before these guys join.

Last month Villa were going to to fail FFP and survival was the best they could hope for. A lot has changed...

My assumption is the new owners have gone "fuck it!" as yeah, there's no way they've been able to solve the FFP problems, and signing these guys can only be adding to however much they are already beyond the limits.

You already have much better options at your club, no point.

I think Saiss is a better defensive mid than anyone at Forest tbh. Can't see him leaving until Dendoncker is fully fit anyway.

Saiss better than Watson for sure and our other options are Bridcutt and Colback who are both good at this level, but not as good as Saiss I'd have thought

How the hell will Villa pass FFP? Tammy's on £50K a week and Bolasie's on £70K. I thought they were pretty much at their FFP figure anyway?

Thought Forest looked very weak in central defence and central midfield on the weekend. Certainly didn't look top 6 standard, you need a strong spine for a promotion push so seems like sensible management if they're looking to address that.

Tom Bradshaw set to sign on loan until Jan, then £1m permanent deal. Would, unbelievably, be our most expensive ever signing, beating a thirty year record of £800k.

Not a bad deal - in the right team can score goals at this level IMO

Yeah we’ve not really clicked at all and look quite soft at the back

Seems pointless the Football League transfer window closing early now.

All clubs are still acting the same, just the panic signings are loans that will turn into permanents.

Hemed going QPR. Thank fuck we didn't have to come up against him last night, he'd have embarrassed our woeful backline.

Two year extension for Daniel Johnson, very happy with that.

Very happy with this signing. Should bring goals and quality to us. Hoping that we get Wells and a decent CB and then we'll start looking a bit better. A GK as well is probably asking too much.

Good signing that, came out of nowhere as well.
Yeah, good player for this league. Surprised he didn’t go in loan to a top tier team in Europe

Some tasty signings today, Hemed, Kalas, Besic and potentially Bolasie.

I expect us to do fuck all before the deadline.

We won’t do anything either, Josh Dasilva was a nice surprise but he won’t be a starter till next year earliest.

The thought of Villa with a front 4 of Kodija, Grealish, Bolasie and El Ghazi is a little scary.

I'd have taken Kalas on loan here, hope the Batth deal happens.

Saw somewhere in the last 6 seasons kalas has been in this league he’s been in the top 6 4 times.

Obviously we won’t be troubling the top 6 this year but it’s still a pretty decent stat, surprised none of the bigger teams in this league wanted him.

They did, Kalas said himself he had offers from bigger clubs both in this division and abroad but Johnson's promised he'll play him CB. Little does he know he'll be starting RB by Blackburn (H).

You missed Abraham.

Haven't seen anything concrete on Abraham - the other two are pretty much confirmed / actually confirmed.

TBH I'd play Kodija over Abraham if I was Aston Villa, especially in a Steve Bruce team.

ESPN say it's a done deal. Abraham is a better fit for a Bruce team as he's bigger and stronger. He'll go well for them.
