ESPN say it's a done deal. Abraham is a better fit for a Bruce team as he's bigger and stronger. He'll go well for them.
I'd be surprised - consistency is useful, particularly if you are changing up so many of the other players, Kodija did well for them last year, and has started well this year, would be mad to take him out of the side, particularly for a guy who didn't do very well last year.

They did, Kalas said himself he had offers from bigger clubs both in this division and abroad but Johnson's promised he'll play him CB. Little does he know he'll be starting RB by Blackburn (H).

You missed Abraham.

Adomah ain't bad either.

Kodjia scored one goal last season. Tammy had 15 starts for Swansea and scored five in the PL.

Good point - was thinking of the season before for Kodija.

Regardless, would be playing Kodija if I was Bruce.

QPR confirm Wells. Got to be paying quite a bit to take both him and Hemed on loan for the season, they'll have to hope it pays off!

Totally agree. We have a great front line now but a piss poor back 5. Rumours of Topal coming from Fenerbache, he is a holding midfielder and pretty good (apparently).

Still need a defender who can run and a goalkeeper that can save a shot.

Kalas is a great signing, gutted you got him and we didn't go for him. Happy with Collins, could be exactly what we need. Be okay at home with a small pitch but away from home, still leaves our back line woefully slow.

Signing someone from Fenerbache? Did you guys not learn from the first FFP fine? Where’s all the money suddenly coming from?

I suppose QPR have no choice but to back McClaren and hope he still has 90's pedigree.

Rodwell confirmed, only a one year deal. Could turn out to be a master stroke, and if it turns out he's still a fraud then it's not a massive pay off like Best, Murphy etc. were 4 or 5 years ago.

Tom Bradshaw has joined Millwall on loan with a view to a permanent deal. Strange timing so he must have pushed for it. Good luck to him he's always given 100% for us.

Clubs not quite timing this new "window" right at a guess.

We are getting Michael Hector from Chelsea apparently.
Seems to be mainly clubs panicking that they’ll be in trouble this season. Or Villa.

I am guessing we are using the money from Smithies and money saved from Onouha 40 a week to fund the loans but I don't think we will be paying all the money; we are still being tight arses.
Why now though?

Why not 2 months ago?

Recently changed our chairman, even though the stakes hasn't changed. Might be the reason but wouldn't really make sense.

Been a shambolic window though. Got rid of Holloway nice and early and then decide to do sod all other than get rid of players. Let's hope they have had a pre season, or we will lose 5 on the bounce against Wigan

I doubt that you won’t be paying the full wages for Wells, and probably Hemed too. We were quoted £2m loan fee and full wages for Wells, which is why we dropped out.

Admittedly that was a lot earlier in the window, but there’s no way they let them leave for nothing and subsidised wages when there’s still a week of the window left.

Hector could be a good signing for us, plenty of experience but still at a good age. Probably be a loan made into a permanent.

Very happy with this signing. Should bring goals and quality to us. Hoping that we get Wells and a decent CB and then we'll start looking a bit better. A GK as well is probably asking too much.
Tomer's definitely an upper Championship quality striker. Never let us down, even in the few games he got in the PL last season - a hugely dedicated pro. Good luck to him.

Any idea what we are paying? I have asked on QPR forums but no one seems to know.

God knows why we left it so late, but apparently we are in for Frazer Forster now as well, seeing as he is 3rd choice. Be a great signing if we can get him.

TBF any goalkeeper that isn't scared of the ball would be a step up.

Where the fuck is this cash coming from at QPR?

Hemed, Wells and Forster will be massive money.

I'd bet that the wages those three are on alone would be more than our first XI - if not more likely our first XI and bench.

Woods having a medical at Stoke this morning - loan until Jan where the loan is guaranteed to be made permanent for £6.5m. Rises to £7.5m, and has a hefty sell-on fee, but would have loved to get a bit more cash for him.

Can understand why we are selling him though, he's class and we're a much better team with him, but we've looked pretty good without him this season so far, and his value next year will be a lot lower (as he'd be into the last 12 months of his deal).

Probably need another body in there as I don't trust McEachran to keep his form up for the whole year, but given the way we usually operate I'd imagine we'll wait until Jan / next summer to replace him.

Bit worried about contracts though - don't think we've got a CM under contract next year anymore.

Trying to find out what we are paying for those guys, no one either end seems to know.

I get the feeling Forster is more of a fan rumour than a proper one.

The 40 million fine isn't really a 40 million fine. The owners had to wipe off 20 million that we owed them, so that is gone. 3 million is legal fee which has now been paid.

The remaining 17 million is to be split interest free over 10 years, so we haven't paid any of it yet.

As for where we are getting money from, I believe we will be using money that we have raised from sales of Polter, Smithies, Chery, Nbakoto (dunno how you spell it, can't be arsed to look) and a few others that we have made money on. Plus we are saving 40k per week from Onouha, 30 from Robinson so that frees up some wage space.

So now we are back to a level ish playing field. Fernandes has gone and teh Mittals/Bhatias are in charge so I am presuming they are happier to lose the 13 million allowed per year (if that is right, if that is wrong then let me know ive lost track of FFP).

You won't have got much from those players - and you aren't really saving wages on Onouha and Robinson, you didn't have the money to pay them in the first place!

But you have brought in almost no one else this summer, so there clearly was at least some cash left to spend. You won't have got these guys on the cheap though, plenty of other clubs have asked about them.

Fraser Forster’s one of our highest paid players. The figure always changes on what he’s earnining, but it’s definitely north of £70,000 a week. That and his decline in the last couple of years is why he’s being frozen out here.

I always hoped that his decline was just a blip, as he was a very reliable goalkeeper at his peak and a good part of our most successful team in recent years. However, even in the pre season matches against Chinese teams he was still struggling.

Basically, nowadays he’s a Premier League Matt Ingram (from what I’ve seen on TFLS). He’s a big guy, and his slower reflexes with age has meant he struggles to get down to low shots. He conceded a load of goals from outside the box last season. He’s also never been able to command his box here despite his physique.

However, the Championship may now be his level and he could surprise. He’s got a good CV at least.
