Are you for real, they are fully established premier league teams who will both get 45-55 points again guaranteed, paying 100m wage Bills

But both are one mistep, injury crisis, crappy managerial appointment away from relegation and potentially never seen again at that level. As is 3/4 of the Premiership from relegation. Both would have plummits in crowd as they are punching well above their natural weight for size of club compared to the top two divisions other big boys.

If I was player this summer and was offered the same wage at Sheffield Utd or Bournemouth I would not be signing for Bournemouth.

Of course Brentford are currently a step up from Luton, they have been in this league for five seasons. They've finished top half every time and regularly flirted with promotion races. Doesn't mean it would automatically be a good move for Justin at this time but it's pointless to pretend they aren't a step ahead as a club.

Would all you Luton fans class Watford and Bournemouth as a step up from Sheffield United?
I wouldn't consider Watford a step up from Sheffield FC never mind Sheffield United.

To be fair Bristol City is turning into a bit of a graveyard for lower league players. I remember Mo Eisa having his pick of options last summer and he hasn’t been seen since choosing Bristol. If I were a lower league player, I’d always pick Brentford or PNE over them because I know they’ll give me a fair crack of the whip.

If I was player this summer and was offered the same wage at Sheffield Utd or Bournemouth I would not be signing for Bournemouth.

Doesn't matter because you're both shit at football.

We should all get smashed out of our tits, and have a massive game of double-cuppies.

Whoever wins gets to give all the Luton fans red-ass.

Disclaimer: Red-ass does NOT mean bumming them half to death.

Red-ass: The act of lining a nobhead on the goal line, and blasting a football at said nobheads ass; thus creating a sore Reddening of the skin.

We called it tan-ass, usually after a game of heads & vols after someone had lost all their creds.

Yeah same, tan-ass or Red-ass. After heads n volleys.

Absolute King of heads n volleys, me.

Big game of manhunt when it got too dark to play footy.

Class days.

Used to have some class games of Man Hunt on Avenham Park, used to take about 6 hours, with some cheating c*** going over the tram bridge and walking to fucking Penwortham.

5ft9?

Standing on what?
People always say this, if I see someone from Twitter at an away game or something they often say "I thought you were about 5 foot 2!". No idea why, the only picture I have of me on my twitter you wouldn't be able to tell my height from anyway, probably because I look about 12 years old.

Wait... that would actually bring some excitement to this part of the forum.

Davies, Gregory and Powell all to be announced by Stoke this weekend.

Woods supposedly up for transfer as well, their reckless summer last year has hit them harder than I expected this soon. Regardless they're three solid signings for free.

Surprised if they're selling Woods already, good player, would welcome him back but his wages will be far too high for us. Wouldn't be surprised if he went somewhere like Bristol, but you guys are reasonably well stocked in CM right?

Woods and Bannan are the sort of player that we need in a Johnson side, particularly at home, and he tried to get that in Walsh but whilst he may well turn out to be as good he's not quite there yet and would probably benefit from a 46 game season on loan like Vyner did at Rotherham last season.

I'd absolutely love Woods. We flog Pack far too much and he always burns out by the end of March, he started every game this year. We have Morrell who may well be off to Lincoln on loan I was told, then the aforementioned Walsh, Korey Smith won't be available until the new year, Brownhill may well leave and then just Marlon Pack.

This is exactly the sort of player we should be after, but he'd probably have to take a wage cut. If he was prepared to for regular football, that fits the supposed DNA template we have for recruiting player personalities.

Lee Gregory is a turd signing for Stoke and i'm not sure if that Adam Davies is Championship standard, must be back up? but surely Butland will leave this summer. Powell is a decent player but not worth the wages he'll be getting.

Stoke look like being the bog-standard Championship side they were in the mid-00's.

Released this lot today, gutted for Callum, treated bizarrely by management all season, hopefully Jones takes him to Luton.

Darron Gibson
Callum McManaman
Shaun MacDonald
Jonas Olsson
James Vaughan
Dan Lavercombe

Powell going to be getting 30k a week at Stoke and even closer to home than Wigan. The only positive I can take from
him leaving is that we were willing to offer him 20k a week, which means decent money is hopefully available this summer.

Gregory’s a decent striker at this level, you could do a lot worse for a freebie. Powell can be class, remains to be seen whether Jones will get it out of him. Can’t see anyone paying 30 odd million for Butland so assuming Davies is a number two option again, a solid signing.

Someone will buy Butland on deadline day when Stoke lower the price to ensure a deal, probably a promoted team.

For a team with parachute payments, i'd expect better.

His goal return isn't bad but i'd be surprised if he starts many games for them.

Butland won't stay down here for another season and no way will they get £30m for him.

Be surprised if Davies has gone there to play backup. 200+ appearances for us in the last few years, 27 next, Butland will be gone, had other suitors (apparently) and on the brink of the Wales squad.

Think he’s fully expecting to be number one come August. Could be wrong mind, they’ve at least doubled what we offered him I’m sure and a big payday takes precedence over game time for most players to be fair.

You lot can have Rudd, or Maxwell, or both.
