Completely get that, he’s never going to be popular because of his past. He wasn’t particularly liked by us before coming back but cannot help but love him now for what he’s done to our club and the players have nothing but good things to say about him.

Is it a credible poster mate? I know Johnson said Pearson/Bannan would be the two players he’d sign if he had the pick of the division but I can’t see us spunking daft money on a midfielder that has serious discipline issues as good as he may be.

By all accounts, the poster (Knighty) has got a fair few right previously but I take all these sort of comments as tongue in cheek, especially at this time of year. Strangely, he said it came from a contact at North end rather than BS3.
I genuinely have no idea TBH. Hell of a player though.

JJH was arguing with me earlier, he reckons, in his words, that they would "quite comfortably" get Pearson for £10m and the initial fee would be less than that.

Oh he also thinks I made up that we turned down a bid of around £12m from Stoke last summer.

As said, if you can prove that you turned 12m down from Stoke then fair enough. I searched "Ben Pearson Stoke 12m" on Twitter and two tweets come up from some random fan pages, and searched the same on google and found the square root of fuck all on it.
