We've confirmed that Tettey and Vrancic won't be having their contracts renewed and will be released in the summer. While Tettey looks set to return home to Norway, I think a lot of teams in this league could do with someone like Vrancic. He's not the most mobile, but his ability to pick out passes from deep if played at CM or to link up with the striker if played as a number 10 would give teams a real creative spark.

Britt Assombalonga and Ashley Fletcher have left Middlesbrough - could do a lot worse.

Unsurprisingly, Forest are in for every expensive player this summer to add to their huge losses. Clearly not worried about FFP.

Also, the difference this season from all before is the impact of Brexit. I don't think we'd have been able to sign Sluga because despite making his Croatia senior debut, I don't think he'd have had enough points to qualify via the Home Office procedure because he was playing in his home league.

I think it's probably going to have a bigger impact in the Championship and probably for lower PL clubs during their recruitment. The value of those already eligible to work in the UK is going to rise as a result.

Yeah, we wouldn't have been able to sign a lot of the players that have been key throughout Farke's managerial reign under the current work permit rules, including Pukki and Buendia among several others. It's a difficult situation to adapt to when we've done so well from recruiting hidden gems from across Europe.

The other big thing for all clubs to consider will be the continuing impact of covid and if that causes transfer fees to fall with clubs simply having less money available to work with. Either going to be a lot of players moving around for lower fees than has become the norm in the past few years or just less movement in the market in general again.

Another year, another youth player jumps ship to a side who can offer U23 football and a path to the first team. This time Lincoln McFayden to Swansea on a free.

If it was up to me, I'd scrap the youth set up entirely.

I’m starting to get the same feeling about Luton - what is the point? We can’t move to EPPP2 because our councillors weren’t supportive of the dome we need to move up (what a ludicrous state of affairs that is). It is not cheap either to run these schemes.

Jones himself hasn’t given a minute to any former youth teamer at all this season despite being safe a long time ago.

The Brentford B setup is really attractive to me. Signing rejects from elsewhere and giving them a real chance.

Elliot Anderson is in the running to join Luton next season from Newcastle on loan. He’s and England U19 international that could break into the Magpies first team before the end of this season.

We tried for Cameron Jerome in the past, before he ended up going to Turkey.

Guy is 34 now though and Ched Evans is a similar player.

We've been linked with 20yr old Forest Green defender, Udoka Godwin-Malife this morning.

Going to be a long summer I think, I should probably start ignoring rumours, we've had a shit tonne already.

It’s going to be a long boring summer if we don’t post rumours as there’s no one else on this part of the forum!

In that spirit, one of those Twitter accounts is saying Joe Morrell is going to be transfer listed by us with various top of league 1 type clubs interested in him. His move here has totally failed for him, he’s not even getting a look in these end of season nothing games we’ve been playing. Looked ok in rare moments he has played but equally horrendous out of possession. Positioning all over the place.

I did say to the Lincoln fan in the other forum that being a good L1 midfielder doesn't mean he could hack this league and he was having none of it. Class act etc. Worth a punt obviously but there's a reason Bristol City got rid when they're pretty shit themselves.

Which I really do not understand. As I’m sure he will have an impact for Wales.

Horses for courses I think. The way we play he just gets lost in the wash a little bit, to lacking in stature and reading of the game to play the DM role on his own, and lacking in athleticism, legs and dynamism to play either Pellys or KDH role so he is no real position within the team. Maybe with a shape change next season he’ll come good but absolutely wouldn’t surprise me if he left

On the Wales thing, I think there’s also the element of international football being quite slow paced often, whereas championship games are 100 miles an hour and he gets lost. It’s obviously mad to judge him on it given the opposition he was up against but his performance against Belgium had all of the issues he has illustrated for us in terms of deficiencies out of possession.

Ryan Nyambe from Blackburn is one of our main targets.

Seems he's had a bit of a fall out with Mowbray.

Caused us problems in the past, mainly because he's rapid but don't think he's defensively sound.

We're already trying to bring back Iversen and Van Den Berg on loan next season.

Club seems hopeful about Iversen providing Schmeichel & Ward don't get injured in the Euros.

We have first option on VDB but imagine we'll have to contribute more financially this time round.

Looks likely that we'll sign Matty James on a permanent deal in the summer after a successful loan period. Came in with the reputation of being a crock but don't think he's missed a single game for us due to injury, and also played a lot of Barnsley in the first half of the season.

As for the other loanees, feel like we might go in for Gyokeres again if we let Biamou and Bakayoko go, although I think if we keep Biamou we may steer clear. We'd love Ostigard back but I doubt Brighton would sell/we'd be able to afford him, and they might want him at a higher placed club if they loaned him out again. McCallum is an odd one, signed for Norwich last Jan but has been with us every since pretty much. Won't be good enough for the Prem, but not sure if they'll want him at the same club yet again, or will want him to develop somewhere else.

We've been linked with Scott Twine from Swindon, fits the mould. But we won't be the only ones after him.

Talk that Sonny Bradley has rejected a contract at Luton.

We were linked in January, could see us making a move as I think the general consensus is that we would only make a move for Liam Lindsay as a last resort.

The club released a video after the qpr game where Jones was speaking to the players as a kind of end of season debrief and mentioned that they will be in Tuesday, some of them for the last time.

So might hear about some departures today that being the case

I don’t think we will hear about it today. Jones is probably spending the whole day talking to the players, telling them targets for the summer and giving end of year reviews, staying or not.

As for Bradley, you could tell from the QPR game his head was in totally the wrong place.

Both Collins and Bradley have one big paycheck left in their careers, certainly Collo. I couldn't blame them for that... but Preston?

I thought by the end of that run where Naismith was playing regularly at centre half it was getting more and more obvious that we needed Bradley back. He did play well there but not sure as a starting 11 long term option it’s ideal.

What’s wrong with Preston? Decent established championship side who can probably pay a bit more than we can. Doubt they would get much better at their ages.

We probably pay more than Luton in general and i'm not sure either of those players would be considered by the division's money clubs. Depends if they want to go to somewhere like Stoke and probably not play.

There aren't any concrete rumours linking us to either player to be fair. By all accounts, our preference is younger up & comers this summer. Obviously doesn't mean we'll turn our noses up at a decent freebie though.

Agree we needed something, but perhaps more so Lockyer than Bradley.

Bradley a lot better this season but he still scares me at times. Hes a middling Championship centre half now for sure and with the right players around him perhaps slightly better. When he gets exposed by speed and people turning him hes in trouble and with the ball at his feet he occassionally looks like a fish out of water. Dont want to lose him but wouldnt break my heart. I do wonder about the loss of leadership but hard to tell from here how much if a leader he is. Wonder what Jones thinks.

I fear that we are going to come out of this week being a bit decimated in our key areas. Losing KDH, Collins and Bradley are big holes to fill.

I hate to say it, but Peterborough have probably got this right, that every player with 12 months to go, goes on the transfer list.

It’s a huge summer for us definitely that really could go either way. If we get it right we are on our way to becoming established at the level for a few more seasons, and maybe aiming higher, get it wrong then...well.

A lot of our core group who have got us here (Collins, Bradley, other players like LuaLua, Moncur maybe Pearson et al) and helped us stay here (KdH, Cranie etc) are probably going to be phased out.

Time to see what we have back of house on negotiations and acquisitions. I think the club are fully aware of this being a massively pivitol point in time and doubt its a coincidence weve just beefed up the scouting and analytics side.

Nice to see we made a profit in a dreadful business year, albeit padded by sales of Stacey and JJ, the like we no longer have.

Remarkable Management. Thanks SO much Gary Sweet and 2020.......no chest beating, badge kissing there. Just fans who risk their money and have the skillset and preparation to dare to give back and make us bigger and better. We are lucky, but deserving, to have you. You are appreciated

No disrespect to Preston, but they finished below us. It would be a sideways move but clearly about money which is fine. We probably offered them around £7k a week so it must be worth it elsewhere to improve that.
