Still no real rumours, more guess work but at 29/30 a signing on fee and an extra couple of grand a week would probably be most welcome.

I wouldn't see the logic in signing Collins when we already have Evans but I think we need to be in the market for two centre backs. A proven player at this level like Bradley and a young up & comer ideally.

I don't think Paul Huntington is in McAvoy's plans who is 34 at the start of next season and we still need to replace Ben Davies.

Louis Moult, Billy Bodin, Josh Ginnelly, David Nugent and Graham Burke (already joined Shamrock) released as expected.

For the sake of £100k apiece, I would happily match if even it slightly goes out of our wage structure... as a result sign one player less. Especially for them to avoid moving across the other side of the country, although I think Collins commutes down from Coventry still. Even more so reason if the deal on Max Aarons crystallises.

Clearly if someone offers them £12-15k a week we can’t and wouldnt match that.

Structure is a structure and letting sentiment go, Collins will be a back up next season and maybe its time for for Bradley to go if thats what he wants. We are built on a togetherness and spirit that should never be put at risk if either want out.

Bradley is far from irreplaceable as a player and Collins already has been.

Diedhiou seems a decent player but yes a big change of the squad for Pearson to deal with this summer.

It frees up a lot of wages for us. Diedhiou’s heart hasn’t been in a City shirt since January...

It’s a shame because on the whole he’s been a decent player for us. The way the season fizzled out has tarnished his City career a bit.

He’s not the only one though.

Still can't believe you paid us £1 million for Marley Watkins. Absolutely woeful Championship footballer.

That’s a lot of transfer fees let go for nothing.

Worse than just the fees as they would have been hefty wage bills asscoiated as well.

Is there historically a worse run Club in the country for City/catchment/size/potential? Even Sunderland have had recentish top level success.

Could argue Plymouth. Massive city but never made it to the top flight despite population and catchment area.

Yep, we can thank the snakey Mark Ashton for that. 13 players out of contract this summer, fantastic business from our CEO...

We’ve been a shithshow of a club lately. Rushing players back from long term injuries, poorly timed contracts etc.

Thankfully Ashton has jumped ship now and has taken his physio crew with him. He’s left a massive mess but I’m just over the moon he’s now gone!

Yeah, he’s the one I’m most pissed about. I’d imagine you’d be in for Pato too, seeing as he’s a massive Cov fan.

Both decent players, probably the best out of that lot.

Yes - classic case of seeing out his contract without making an effort .

Diedhou always rapes us, hope he goes abroad.

I'd have Jack Hunt from that list.

Used to think he was a good, all-round full back. What happened?

I was reading an article that got randomly recommended to me on the guardian (yep, guilty as charged) the other day and am not sure we actually have a stake in Aaron’s next move.

I’ll see if I can find it again but he rejected a contract from us and was out of the academy system for over a year, taking trials at various clubs including mk dons before going to Norwich.

Was always under the impression it was a direct move from us to Norwich but that’s not the case. So I’m not tally confident we have a stake in it, and if we do by some weird rules it might not be as much as many think.

In the accounts published this week, around £2.3m was expected in future fees that are expected to crystalise. Maybe that is in relation to JJ, but with an £8m fee paid by Leicester; unless they are budgeting Leicester to sell him for £25m~ I don't see it being him.

On that point, around £4.8m is owed to us from other clubs over the next year or more. We have a bloody brilliantly run club.

Don't forget that the accounts were for the year up to June 30 2020. Already nearly a year behind, so some of that money will have come in already.

Ipswich leading the race to sign Sonny Bradley. That would be a strange one.

I definitely don't understand the L1 wage cap if Ipswich pay more than Luton, it must be a piece of piss to find loop holes. If so, what's the point?

Wasn't it scrapped because the big boys in that league didn't like it because it gave them an "unfair disadvantage" as it would mean they'd be capped more?

Same so-called big boys that would demand tighter controls in the Championship the moment they were promoted.

It's not scrapped, the old system is back in place. But a new compromise is set to be introduced in the near future because the old system was far too prone to abuse.

Ah thanks.

So basically will probably never happen as they won’t all agree on it?

He will go wherever will pay the most, I think that’s pretty obvious
Correct - Bradley has never stayed at a club more than 2-3 years. But to move a league below I really don’t understand because presumably it wouldn’t be a huge raise of salary.

One of the clubs interested in Carlos Mendes-Gomes from Morecambe it seems.
