Any good? We need more pace and ball-playing ability at the back, does he tick those boxes?

Yeah his biggest asset is his speed. Strong and rapid. Shite on the ball though and drops more clangers than the average defender.

He was great for us a few years ago in this league but had had a couple of long injury lay offs since and hasn’t looked the same.

I'd imagine if we brought him in, we'd be looking to offload Bauer who looks finished at this level after his injuries.

I'd imagine Iorfa would play on the right side of our back three if we got him.

Would say so. He’s best on the right of a three. Too much of a bomb scare to play every week in a two but is a good right back in a flat 4.

Looking like we've managed to bring Tom Cannon back on loan, and he's rejected loan offers from Blackburn & Sunderland. Can't get too giddy until its officially confirmed but the usual 'in the know' guys are saying it's done.

Sounds like we were willing to break our transfer record to get him but Everton don't want to sell.

When we had him, he regularly dropped clangers and got the nickname Dominic Iawful

Sounds like our first signing will be Juan Delgado. Current Chilean international, worked with Xisco before.

First of many I hope!

Sarr going to Marseille potentially .

TBH most won’t miss Sarr - many feel he hasn’t really produced his best in the last 2 seasons and is out of contract next summer so 15-20 million will be better than nothing .

Big wages of the bill too and maybe means we might get more players in which are needed .

Pol Valentin close to signing from Sporting Gijon. Sounds similar to the other lad we’ve just signed, right back/winger.

Chansiri’s son has followed Ashley Fletcher on Instagram which usually means he’s signing. Xisco had him at Watford so makes sense.

Brighton are supposedly signing Jacob Slater from us, played a lot in pre-season but don't think he'd have got any minutes this year, think we would have tried to sort a loan out for him. Bit of a random pick up by them.

No idea on the fee, he's contracted till 2025 so guessing it won't be a pittance.

Kian Best actually looks a better prospect at LCB/ LWB and he's been given a 2yr deal today.

Fletcher signed. Any thoughts Super_horns ?
He’s always struck me as talented without doing much and a bad attitude.

Never really seen him play which says more about our poor recruitment I think than anything else!

Went on loan to Rotherham and Wigan without playing a lot but maybe Munoz can get the best out of him?

We've let 15 players go in various ways so time to get some new ones in.

Sure most will random punts though who look good in a video but are injury prone or turn out to be rubbish.

I see Hull haven't offered a contract to George Cox after his trial, I presume it's partly down to them signing Vinagre. I wouldn't mind us taking a look on a two week trial, our initial LWB target Wilson-Esbrand has gone to Reims instead and it's gone a bit quiet in terms of alternatives.

It might be for that reason, but I suspect it's because we couldn't shift our backup LB. Based on the couple of pre-season games I saw him in, I would sign him up if you get the chance.

Lewis Warrington coming in from Everton, probably on loan.

Now confirmed. Season long loan. Can’t say I know to much about him apart from he’s a centre mid who was at Fleetwood last season.

Jack Whatmough has left Wigan.

Come join your pal Will Keane at PNE. Would be a very good freebie.

Talk in the Dutch press that we’re close to agreeing a £4m deal for Dutch U21 RWB Milan van Ewijk from Heerenveen. Exciting times.

Looks like you're investing every penny of that Gyokeres money. Fair play

Reminds me of when Tottenham lost Bale when teams do that. I get the logic behind it but it risks upsetting the rest of the team that are used to playing together. If it was me I’d rather splash big on another goal scorer.

We’ve already done that with Ellis Simms.

I think they're spending without fucking up the wage structure too much. I'm impressed. If they keep Hamer they'll be strong again.

Jamal Lewis signed .

Good signing as we needed a left back with decent Championship experience.

Hopefully start of a few .

Onyedinma to Rotherham seems to be a thing. Been mentioned by name in an interview by their manager so you’d assume that is going to happen. We look to be bringing in Ryan Giles so assume when that happens that opens the way for Fred to go.

Really liked him but he never became the main man some of his early appearances might have suggested. His debut was electric as a LW with 2 goals and plenty of threat but we quickly moved away from that shape and he became a back up RWB/LWB really. Which he was good at, but never looked totally at home there imo and always seemed to pick up little knocks too which was frustrating. Always did a good job when called upon though.

Probably going to be a few fringe players available in the coming weeks that need to move on or not really get a look in who could turn up in this league.

There was talk of him coming on loan last season but it never got done, we were given the impression he didn't fancy a relegation battle so he went to Wigan.

Funny how life works out sometimes.

He's obviously altered his views because it seems he does fancy a relegation battle this year. :fish:

Matt Taylor was asked about him during an hour long interview on Radio Sheffield last night.
All he said was that he is a good player but won't talk about a player who is contracted to another club.

As a signing for us it makes good sense as a replacement for Ogbene.
We only have Ferguson as an out and out winger although Kayode is coming back from a serious injury and will hopefully play at Lincoln on Saturday.

He’s just signed on a season long loan for you. Thought it might be a permanent with us bringing in Giles permanently.

I liked Fred, thought he was a better winger than wingback but he does a good job as a wingback if that’s the view/how you play.

Also surprised we didn't buy him but he's very welcome all the same.
Matt Taylor favours 3 centre halves in general but has been known to go to a back four if he thinks it will work better against certain teams.
