Linked with Max Johnston who is a right back currently at Sturm Graz. Was at Motherwell and we were linked with him before he went to Graz in the first place.

We’ve completed the signing of Idris El Mizouni from Ipswich. Reported 400k fee, 3 year deal. Think that’s the midfield sorted now.
Was excellent for us in the last two years, we did well to get him back last season.

He was a bit slow to get going last season IMO and had to adapt to League One I thought, but once he did he was again very good for us.

Moussa Sissoko re-signed.

Hopefully he will be a bit more useful in the league below.

Some, I think silly, rumours linking Joe Taylor with a move away to various other championship sides including Watford! Cannot see that at all, would be disappointed if we let him go to be honest

No chance
I agree, or at least very unlikely, he was firmly below average by almost every metric in Ligue 1 last season. The Championship is obviously a step down, but he’s been on a fairly drastic downswing in his career since 2019-20.

We're in the market for a RWB, LWB, and another CB.

Illay Camara, Harrison Burrows, and Alfie Gilchrist are names that have been mentioned already but doubtful any of them will end up here imo.

Imagine this could change if we loan out Layton Stewart as Ched Evans is more coach than player now, so that would leave us with 3 strikers. We could do with a proper target man option.

I think we need two new defenders but guess that's unlikely while players are under contract. Sounds like Kian Best is seen as an LCB going forward too.

We really need to find Patrick Bauer a season long loan after his bizarre automatic contract extension.

Signed 19 year old Reuell Walters on a free after he left Arsenal. He is a RB who has played a bit of centre half, which was needed. He’s never made a snr appearance but played for various England youth sides so got talent obviously but always tough making your way in the snr game. Interesting one for sure but tough to know what you’re getting

Osho eventually got an interesting looking move to Auxerre. Very good luck to him.

We’ve signed Nathanel Ogbeta, Mohamud Tijani on loan from Slavia Prague, Darko Gyabi on loan from Leeds who was here last season and Ibrahim Cissoko on loan from Toulouse.

Tijani and Cissoko are interesting, both played and scored in the Europa League/Conf League last season. Cissoko in particular looks a tricky customer.

We have the wonderfully named Vladimir Paternoster on trial.

Assume just a filling numbers whilst we look at centre half options but who knows, maybe he’s able to “elevate” our play defensively ;)

Sounds like Nathaniel Chalobah could be next through the door at ours

I would be a bit underwhelmed by that in all honesty

Sounds like Nice are lining up a move for Teden Mengi. A bid of £12M-£14M maybe coming in. For me that has to be in excess of £20M.

Man Utd have a decent sell on fee on what was a small fee paid last summer.

Looks like we are about to sign Polish winger Przemysław Płacheta, who used to play for Swansea & Norwich.

Should be in the top 3 players in the Championship
Well probably on reputation maybe but knowing us he'll be hyped up then get injured or be poor,.

With Moore and Callum O'Hare joining them Sheffield United got a couple of decent Championship signings.

Bristol City signing Sinclair Armstrong - real beast of a striker with good power and pace.

Apparently considering an offer from Bolton for McAtee.

Be a little disappointed at that to be honest, I’d fancy him as an option over Woodrow for example. Perhaps he’s looking to be a regular starting player though and we certainly won’t be able to offer that especially if we keep hold of other forward players

In all honesty i do not seeing him starting unless Charles or Collins are off. Would Take Taylor over Mcatee
If Evatt changed our formation to 4/3/3 McAteer would be ideal in the centre with Charles/dembele Collins/Adaboyejo Either side.

£1.5M for him to be sold. There’s no way we’re selling Taylor to anyone in this window unless there’s an outrageous offer.

It looks like we’re signing Ebou Adams permanently, which is very good news for continuity going into next season.

Relatively speaking, he’s most impactful signing we’ve made in 20 years and there was always a concern that Cardiff were going to monetise his value to us (rightfully, I may add).

Other than that, it looks like we’re getting frustrated in the English market and will be shopping overseas - we want to make at least 8 more and I think there is a genuine concern about how thin we can spread our budget. Mat Ryan looks like it’s not happening, with him going to AS Roma (can’t blame him) so the keeper signing is really important - it seems we’ve been chasing Rodak and Iversen too. I anticipate one of them, but wouldn’t surprise me if we sign Hladky as he’s available and proven at the level. We’ve got a lot of work to do, and the clock is against us.

I can't believe Matt Ryan to Derby was ever a realistic option.

All quiet at Preston but I guess Greenwood & Thor both came completely out of the blue. They seem to have fully clamped down on any transfer leaks.

No Adebayo or Mengi in the squad for our friendly at the training camp in Slovenia today. So let the rumours really kick up a gear on those 2 then

EDIT: just noticed Adebayo is on the bench so just Mengi

The last we heard was Mat Ryan was heading to Derby to finalise his deal, via the AZ Alkmaar site that had been on top of the Goudmijn deal. Companied by a post on his Instagram saying ‘back to work’.

All went quiet then it came out he’s going Roma (although not yet confirmed) so it seems we came close.

Hull keeper Matt Ingram set to sign for us. Seems like good competition for Jamie Cumming, with Eastwood dropping to 3rd choice.

Surprised Morgan Whittaker is still at Plymouth. Surely Swansea have a massive sell-on, I find it odd that they let him go in the first place.

Seems like Michael Cooper might be off to Sheff Utd. They're starting to do good business, adding him, O'Hare, and Keiffer Moore.

Supposedly Alfie Gilchrist coming here on loan is still a possibility. Would be a big coup.
