Lawrie Wilson is apparently joining. Not enthusiastic about this if it happens.
Stockhausen confirmed it as bullshit earlier - take no notice of CottsCiderArmy on OTIB who claims to be 'ITK'.

Few people on our forums seem to think Nathan Bryne and Luke Freeman are more or less done. Not ashamed to admit I haven't got a clue on either. Any good??

Both were very good in League 1 last season and should be able to make the step up ... Would be surprised to see Bristol City sell Freeman though, especially as they don't need to sell, think you would have to spend crazy money to get him.

Then again it is QPR

Why did Preston let Scott Laird go?

Got offered a three year contract at Scunthorpe and only offered two here. He's going to be first choice for them as well which won't be guaranteed at Preston.

It's a shame he's gone, one of my favourite players over the last few years.

I saw £1.75m was the quoted price, being honest if that were true it would be a case of us being bent over pants down and taking it from QPR, given how influential he was last season, having 2 years left on his contract, the fact that financially we don't need to sell and QPR's wealth and reputation for spending I would expect it to take a fair bit more for us to consider selling. Given that we also just let JET leave (who went to QPR none the less) he'd have been our replacement for Freeman. Andy Stockhausen (journalist) has said there has been no news of players come in or out atm as well, over the last season (time I've been paying attention to him) has been decent on City news.

Good Progress being made on deals for Tom Ince and Jason Shackell.

I fancy both to be signed up before 1st July. :bg: DeAndre Yedlin is the latest in a long list of names to be linked to us, anyway.

I can't see the Freeman rumour at £1.75M. Even if Luke wanted to go and there's nothing to suggest that, it's miles too low for our main play maker, not even close.
I would be extremely pissed off if City had accepted that and as Cotts is still in Dubai, I'm calling bullshit!!

Being linked with some 6ft4 German centre half, Patrick Bauer.

Know nothing about him but we desperately need CB's so will take that.

Signed yesterday.

Pleased with that. Freddie Bulot is supposedly meant to be returning permanently which would be great for us, Luzon really got the best out of him when he took over.

Top guy and a good player in League 1 but I think he would have struggled at this level.

Don't think he ever quite returned to the form he was showing before he had his leg broke.

Preston North End will look to make headway this week in their bid to bring goalkeeper Sam Johnstone back to Deepdale.

The 22-year-old played a key role in PNE’s promotion to the Championship after joining on loan from Manchester United in January.

Johnstone kept 13 clean sheets in 25 appearances, three of the shut-outs coming in the play-off matches.

North End are aiming to get him on a season-long loan and have held talks with United.

Those discussions have been positive and now it about getting the green light from the Old Trafford outfit.

What has held up it being completed by now is United waiting to see what the future holds for David de Gea.

Real Madrid are chasing the Spaniard and it might be that Johnstone is needed by United during pre-season until a replacement arrives.

When Johnstone first joined on loan, there was talk of PNE buying him outright this summer.

But another loan seems to suit both clubs and the player, with Preston making a contribution to his wages.

Get this fucker signed!

In terms of permanent signings, PNE remain on the trail of a right-back, left-back and striker.

Chesterfield manager Dean Saunders revealed yesterday that the Spireites had turned down a bid from a Championship club for their right-back Tendayi Darikwa.

The 23-year-old, who can also operate at wing-back, swept the board at Chesterfield’s player of the year awards and has a year left on his contract.

Darikwa, who came through the ranks at Chesterfield, has made 151 appearances for the Derbyshire club.

...and this fucker!

We're being linked with Nicky Maynard - but don't think it's true. More likely it's his agent trying to drum up some interest.

Would doubt he'd play much if he did sign. There's no doubting there was talent there, but unfortunately now it seems to be long gone.

Jose Semedo has signed a new one year deal, if someone had said 12 months ago i'd have been pleased about this i'd have never believed them but he was brilliant last season, pleased to have him signed up

Ince and Bridcutt still close. Hull are still arguing over how much Derby pay up front. Obviously Derby don't want to put up too much, because of FFP.

Shackell is ongoing.

Jota is too expensive, so we've dropped that one.

Yedlin and Gomez not sure if they're actual targets.

Chuffed Jose Semedo has signed a new deal, not only a cult hero at this level now but he's also very good at what he does. Nice to have a bit of promising news.

First proper signing of summer confirmed just now, Liam Rosenior on a free. Sound bit of business on the face of it, although it does now leave us with 3 right-backs in their thirties, and one novice left-back. Nevertheless, I'll take it.

One down, many more to go.

Our first signing also announced - Dean Whitehead, choosing us over Burnley.

Better than what we let go.
