Gutted we've signed that twat Maguire.

Do Wednesday fans spend all day talking about Sheffield Utd on Twitter aswell or is it just us they're obsessed about? Evans could sign Messi and there'd be 500 '#rufc #swfc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' tweets. Sad sad people.

Heard from a pretty reliable source we are close to signing Kirkland. Guessing that means the Johnstone deal is dead :(

Presumed Maguire was a decent signing for Rotherham to be honest, starting to build a nice team up there.

If we don't end up re-signing Johnstone, then a panic-buy freebie like Kirkland is what I would expect after putting all our eggs in one basket.

Cunningham confirmed by P Riddy, also known as Peter Risdale.

City fans haven't said anything bad about him so I'm satsfied

Yeah, thought it seemed likely when another poster went on your forum and said he'd heard the same.

We've not lost any key players but what a deflating summer it's been so far - an already small squad last season has now lost JET, Elliott, Osborne, Cunningham, Tavernier and Saville, with just the one signing. Hope we have some great plan going on behind the scenes.

Cotterill earned my trust with how he acted in the transfer market last season, but I can't deny I'd be worried if we sold Cunningham, fantastic cover to have for Bryan (can't begrudge him wanting first team football though) and more importantly another player less. Got to hope its a case that we're bringing in a left back and Greg was told he won't be featuring, but back to point one why would we bring in someone if Greg were happy at the club...

Disappointed to see Greg go (as it appears) as we are extremely low on numbers but he's better than a bench player, just not as good as the awesome Joe Bryan. If he was going anywhere for me to wish him well, it would be PNE.
Good luck GC!

Fuck sake, cause we can really afford to lose another player...

Class act is Greg, understand if he wanted to leave for first team football but he was perfect back up, so we shouldn't have let him go. Pretty gutted, gonna stick a fair amount on us to go down now as we don't have the squad to compete.

I never like betting on City but I admit 9/1 does look tempting

Seems there may be truth in this. Annoyed about that in all honesty, Cunningham was absolutely outstanding in the Championship until he got injured against P'boro, he's a very, very good player, and was only kept out of the side by the brilliance of Bryan.

Back to square one now then, one signing in, one player out. Fucking worrying.

Sammon is definitely off on loan somewhere. Assuming it's a season long loan, that'll be the last we see of him as his contract is up next summer.

I hope it's a League One club, as I think he might do well down there. Ultimately he's not good enough in this division.

Same here mate I have the same thinking. Bookies have looked purely on last season rather than current situation! Obviously wouldn't want the bet to come off but might as well make some money off it, if it happens.

If we were to get relegated you could drink the winnings and potentially forget we got relegated all together

Chesterfield's Sam Clucas looks set for Hull, with Robbie Brady moving on to Norwich.

I'm really chuffed for Sam. I played both with and against him during our teens and while he was always the best player at our age group, I never thought he'd go this far. His career seems to have really taken off since his move to Mansfield and his subsequent transfer to Chesterfield, and I have no doubt that if he's played regularly he'll be a success at Hull as well. I'd love to see him end up in the Prem.

Great signing for us. Desperate for a left back. Need a centre back and maybe a forward and we are done I think

Garbutt superb

We have signed Ben Hamer on a season long loan

This Lansbury thing is a mess. There's a release clause but apparently only for prem clubs

Michael Jacobs going to Wigan

Really starting to lose confidence in Kenny Jacket, stupid decision.

Kenny will not sign players just to appease the fans; he likes to work with what he's got. It's both his biggest strength and his biggest weakness.

He'll utilise the loan system in September like he always does. You'll actually get to keep the good ones, though, because you're an attractive proposition to players.

Shame, we bid for him but we're tragically shit in the transfer market.

It's almost embarrasing.
