Will do a job, not spectacular but a good engine and good around a squad.
Bournemouth fans with very positive comments online so looks promising. I'm a fan of us coming to you for players, Howe always seems to have the right sort of characters in his squad.

One of our execs said that we didn't get Tammy Abraham because Chelsea wanted £1.5m as a loan fee, which would have made him our second most expensive ever signing.

I wouldn't pay that much for him, but he keeps scoring for Bristol City so could prove to be worth it.

Worth every penny. He's absolutely ruthless.

Unless he got us or you, promoted, he won't be. I know you have a super rich owner, but it's stupid to spend that kind of money on someone you won't be able to sell, are obliged to play, and will definitely lose in a year unless there is a very good chance of him helping you to go up so you get a return on the investment. I would argue for both of our clubs that's very unlikely.

Yeah considering some of the fees flying around recently that looks like money well spent.

Newcastle interested. Oops.

Oops? I don't think we will get him and we were never seriously in contention. Just had to laugh at the complete stubbornness of some Wednesday fans saying he would t leave when it seems he sees the pound signs and he wants to leave. Kind of restores my faith back to the mercenaries that footballs can be to be honest as he's basically an ungrateful shit. If I was a Wednesday fan I'd want him gone now.

I've heard a few rumours today, some dependant on others happening, but what Ive heard is Newcastle are preparing a £10m bid for Kodjia and are willing to bid up to £15m for him (ridiculous I know). On the flip side it sounds like we have an agreement in place to sign Patrick Bamford permanently.

In defense we are after a CB from Serie A. I didn't get the name, but told it was someone people would have heard of, and if this signing goes through we are willing to let Derrick Williams move to Blackburn

The Wednesday
Chairman refuses to sell unless Newcastle pay £13m all up front plus's Gouffran, Forestieri has to train tomorrow or be frozen out til September. If he wants a move let him go. Shame like but go for Wells and Knockaert with that coin plus a bit

The source, at least for the Newcastle part, is someone who is very reliable in NUFC related things.

Had forgot to add Mawson is supposedly looking to be brought in as well

Is this info from someone you know, or been on Twitter? I know lansdown said we won't be selling to another champ team, but with the fees Newcastle have been chucking around this year I reckon they will pay whatever it takes (if they want him that badly) 15 mil? Cheerio kodjia! Also, did you mention we are looking to bring in both this serie a player, and mawson? Or just one of them.

Going to leave 2 strikers 1 being over 38.

Then there be 2 or 3 cb.

For a promotion push?

It's not either really, from someone I know of. They are suggesting Newcastle are hoping the bid will unsettle Kodjia and so we'd let him go rather than have an unsettled striker. If what's said about having Bamford lined up is true then I'd take it for sure, him and Tomlin worked well at Middlesbrough and Bamford will know Tammy from Chelsea. A very promising front line.

If what I've heard is right it will be 1 in 1 out up top, so no change, and 1 defender (Williams) out, with 2 coming in

Yes it will be, because the higher up we finish the more attractive a proposition we'll be next summer. Dack said he wasn't keen on joining us last Jan when we were right down there, I bet his reaction would be slightly different now. We have two strikers that will score 35+ between them, we should have a much better season this season than last.

'kin hell mate, I didn't mean oops in the way you think, more the comments by Wednesday fans saying there's no chance he'll go to another club in his division!

I am taking it all with a pinch of salt, but the source for at least one part of it is generally reliable, so thought I'd share.

Yeah bamford would be a good replacement for sure. If tammy stays fit then he is a more than adequate replacement for kodj anyway, will need to replace him at the end of this season though as there's no chance he will be available next year.

Would also need another striker to replace agard, plus the 2 cbs and I imagine that would be our business done.. Can't imagine LJ and the board thought this window would go so well.

No need to sell, can ask for whatever we want. Astounded that Forestieri wants to go, and you'd think that you wouldn't let him move to a side in this division, surely....

Very disappointed with how Forestieri has dealt with this, must have been badly advised by his agent here. Clearly it's a money based issue and before refusing to play this could have been easily sorted out, sadly now he's put himself in an awkward situation as it's pretty clear we aren't selling unless it's daft money. If no one stumps up the cash he will either rot in the reserves or have to repair his relationship with the fans. Personally I'd love him to stay but no point keeping a player who doesn't want to be here, cash in and bring in 2 or 3 quality players. Impressed with how the clubs handled this though, taking no bollocks and wont have clubs taking the piss.

Forestieri really is an odious cuñt isn't he? When he's not rolling around on the floor feigning injury, diving to win penalties, or trying to get fellow professionals sent off... he's refusing to play for a club who rebuilt his career because of a fucking transfer rumour.
