TODAY IS JULY 1st

Free Agents and those granted a Free Transfer and those with pre-contract agreements will all be OFFICIAL.

THE WINDOW OPENS.... :eye:

Most player's contracts end on June 30th, so...most players and their agents will have drained the last penny from their existing contracts, whilst flashing their knickers at various clubs and suitors, since the end of last season.

Things will move faster now.

My biggest wish is that J.Terry, and his prolonged-knicker-show, sign for Villa this weekend.

Looks as if George Boyd is a done deal. Decent signing although I'm not exactly sure he's what we need

Ruben Neves is odds on to join us from FC Porto for £18m according to Skybet. If it's true we're going to get slammed by FFP.

Isn't he meant to be the next big thing? Ridiculously amazing signing if true, it's the kind of signing you'd imagine Everton or Liverpool making

Danny Williams supposedly failed to have negotiated a contract with Huddersfield as his demands are too high... Despite it being similar to what he was on here.

Yet to reject our new contract offer.

Yeah, Chelsea and Liverpool are also sniffing around which would be an obvious stumbling block. I think we're trying to get him early though, and with his former manager Nuno being here it could work in our favour.

I still think it's ludicrous that we're being linked with possibly the best young defensive midfielder in Europe, but Fosun have a bottomless pit of money... It's more down to if the player would want to move from Porto to Wolverhanpton.. (I wouldn't)

Also I remember it was very similar to Anderson Talisca last summer and he snubbed us for Besiktas, so trying not to get excited yet.

Marc Roberts to Birmingham confirmed. Gutted to see him leave but pleased it was done early and we get a decent fee.

Haven't seen a lot of Barnsley so I am not going to pretend that I know him inside out like JJH would. I know he had a great match against us at St Andrews and got your first goal. What can we expect from him? Right or left sided?

Solid centre half. Good in the air, strong tackler and reads the game well. Absolute catapult of a throw in that will be sorely missed, in the right position as dangerous as a corner. Genuine steal at £3.5million.

We've signed another central midfielder from Cardiff, Tom Adeyemi, and it feels like we've got some decent options there now. Chose us over Norwich, presumably because he thinks he'll get more game time, but it's always reassuring when players choose your club with multiple offers on the table. Plus the Norwich fans' 'we didn't want him anyway' routine is fun.

Kevin O'Connor signed from Cork, undisclosed fee. Another Irish Player for Preston North Eire

Hope he's competition for Cunningham and not a replacement.

Great news about Barkhuizen signing up to a longer deal.

You do know he'll be shite, just saying

Probably, I can hope otherwise and get excited. Had very little exciting in the past 7 years other than the FA Cup final.

I've translated the question at the bottom, it asks 'Who the fuck are Wolverhampton?'

Josh Scowen officially signs for QPR. Just going to go to bed for the rest of the day I reckon.

At least we've left you alone so far...

Linked with 36 year old past it England defenders or linked with one of the best young defensive midfielders in the world.

It's ok, I sympathize with your jealousy.

Channel 5 highlights innit you weapon.

A much better signing than wasting £5m to have John Terry for a year that is.

Neves played just 3 of the last 18 games of the season.

I'm waiting for someone to tell us how they did with him in their FM17 Champions League-winning Chesterfield team. Because that's what counts.

George Boyd will have a medical on Monday and sign a 2 year deal on a free transfer, turned down Burnley's 1 year offer. Cracking signing that, another player with promotions on his cv.

Yeah, the same Porto manager who dropped him last season now wants to break the league transfer record to sign him :err:

Man City just made a £62 million bid for him on my game if that helps?

Apparently Harry was in France today for talks with three prospective transfer targets. Hopefully Lois Diony is one of them.
