Should be a decent signing if he can regain some sort of confidence. Was doing brilliantly in the Premier League for Hull until January if I remember rightly.
He was mate he got 7 goals and 4 assists up until January. That was a very poor Hull side aswell. In the 11/12 season which is a while ago he was at Leeds and got 13 goals and 15 assists which is amazing

Wonder what Gayle would cost in the current market, 20m?

Probably something like £13m rising to £16-18m if the bidding team won promotion.

Fulham have joined the race for Jota apparently, would hate for him to go there but more clubs bidding hopefully means a better price when he is sold.

Fully expect him to be sold by the end of the week, hoping for as close to £10m as possible.

Hoping we get some interest in Bjelland or Vibe this week. Maupay looks like a better option up top, and while I'd like to keep Vibe I'd rather sell him now than lose him on a free. Surprised there aren't more teams in for him as his record is pretty decent considering the volume of games he's started. I'd imagine we'd take anything around £3-4m. Bjelland has been a big disappointment, not a bad player, but clearly not the player he was before his big injury on his first appearance. He won't get a new contract with us, and we have enough options to get by without him. £1-2m and we'd probably sell him, though I doubt there will be much interest at all unfortunately.

Vibe has to be one of the most under-rated strikers in the division, his goals to starts ratio is pretty much 1 in 2.

Some of that is definitely because of the way we play, we're a team that scores a lot of goals, and he tends to score mainly when the team is in form and scoring anyway, but he is definitely a good striker at this level (and far better than a lot of strikers who are being valued at insane amounts...) but Maupay looks a slightly better fit for our side, and looks to be just as good a finisher. Wouldn't be annoyed at all if we kept Vibe for the season ahead, but we can't afford to let all 4 of Vibe Bjelland Dean and Jota sit out their contracts, so I'd imagine at least 2 will be sold.

Thankfully, we've done a lot of our business early in this transfer window, so while I think we'd need another striker if Vibe left, we probably wouldn't need to rush out for anyone else (unless both Bjelland and Dean left, which I find unlikely).

Still hoping Dean and Jota get new deals, and Bjelland and Vibe are sold (as they are older, have less resale value if we give them a new deal), but I think that's unrealistic.

Is it that Vibe, Bjelland, Dean and Jota are all refusing to sign new deals at Brentford or is it a case that they haven't been offered one yet?

Hugill apparently put a transfer request in.

Can't say I'm fussed if he goes. Bang average player in a massively inflated transfer market.

Yep. None of them unhappy with the club, the ambition or the way they've been treated, they all know they could earn double or triple what they do with us at most other teams in this league.

Negotiations with Dean and Jota are supposedly ongoing, in that they haven't turned down our latest offers, but want to see what else is out there.

Wouldn't blame him, he would quadruple his wage at somewhere like Reading or Wolves.

He's obviously not average, hence why half the managers in the division have publicly praised him or tried to sign him.

Contrary to SF saying PNE 'played a blinder' regarding Hugill, it could now turn into the situation where you have an unhappy player on the books having priced him out of a move to a bigger club. Now would be the prime time to be snapping up those 8m bids if they ever existed.

The club have known he'd like to move all summer, still rejected the bids, it will still take more than £8m to land him.

An official transfer request means he doesn't get a slice of any fee supposedly. Daft.

The last bit is true, the moment a player expresses any desire to leave whilst mid contract they forfeit the right to have the rest of their contract paid up by their current club should he be sold.

Really good business by Fulham, not a key player for them and they got him for free last summer.

Hoping that doesn't mean Jota moves to Fulham, but if it does I'd want us to get the full £7.5m out of them, plus a sell on and promotion fee.

Eurgh, we've agreed a deal of £2m to sell Dean to Birmingham.

I hate not offering new deals until a player is in his last 12 months, makes no financial sense. Ridiculously low fee for a key player, similar to Button and Bidwell last year unfortunately.

Hopefully gives us enough time to get a replacement in.

Busy week at the CG it seems with at least 2 to come in. Think one is gonna be Frederick Ronnow, Danish GK, from Brondby. The other will be a defender and we are being strongly linked with Harlee Dean from Brentford who would be a superb addition too.

We've also had a bid rejected for McGinn at Hibs who's a CM. Don't know anything about him alas.

Ronnow has turned us down, Dean has gone to Birmingham.

Good start..

2m for Dean is an absolute steal...

Wonder if Aden Flint will move anywhere now?

Not unless a club meets our valuation. We've supposedly been rejecting bids around the 3.5m mark, we don't need to sell as he's contracted till 2020 I believe,

Been linked to Billy Bodin from Bristol Rovers, £250k.

I just presume everything posted on the internet is agent crap at the moment though.

Hmm looks like Hugill is gone then. No idea who we could get to replace him, even if we bid £5m for someone we wouldn't break our wage structure to match it. I'd go for a premier league loan but no suggestions who.

I'd be confident in Maguire leading the line, although we would need another target man type as an option. Barkhuizen is much better centrally too.

If Hugill goes that is.

Harry still wants him, we have come back with a third bid of £3.5m.

If we get both Dean & Flint, that should pave the way for Shotton to move to Middlesbrough.

Preston North End can confirm that Jordan Hugill has today handed in a written transfer request.

The club have rejected this request and will not be selling him in this transfer window.

Fair play.

Aye £25k, the sell-on will be 20%-25%.

Can't complain, he's been an absolute bargain and no doubt we'll get a very decent fee for him.

Similar to when we sold Nugent who we only paid £100k for but sold for £6m.

When PNE signed him after a few months in our team we were surprised as we'd signed him from Whitby I think and he was alright but wasn't really a first choice or anything, he has developed really well though and oddly could if he goes for 8 million plus be close to our biggest ever sale of £2 Million without actually being sold by us!

Doubt we will see much of it though as the chairman will have it I expect but if it helps him leave the club recouping his losses then all for it!

Sorry mate, doesn't look like you're getting anything this window at least.

I'm shocked that we've rejected the transfer request, it's so un-PNE. If he carries on playing well and if we look like we have a shout of play offs in January I don't think we'll sell then either and we'll probably have to sell in Summer for a much lower fee. Hemmings never been much of a gambler in the past so I'm guessing this new approach is coming from Ridsale or Neil.

I like it.
