Our squad is done unless we can get a CB in, ideally Engels

Pretty happy with the squad, ideally we’d trim a player or two

1 possibly 2 keepers and maybe a left back for us, if, as expected, Joe Bryan leaves.
Still work to do in BS3 TBH.

Jack Marriott signed.

Although I was hesitant at first, I'm intrigued more than anything to see how he gets on. I have no doubts that the support of Mount, Lawrence, Wilson & others will stand him in good stead.

Vydra may finally be joining Leeds. Good news for all parties involved. I can't wish him all the best because he's joining Leeds, but I hope he doesn't get injured or owt. It's the best I can do.

It seems like the move for Waghorn will be made swiftly after he's sold. It all depends on price. I appreciate he's a hard-worker who brings others into play & gets goals whilst he's at it. I can't help but think Abraham would be a better option. I guess it depends on what offer he's got on the table.

Palmer signing for Blackburn - very, very good signing for them. He's got tonnes of ability. He'll do well if given game time.

Kind of hoping we'd be in for the good kids from the Premier League since we aren't allowed to spend anything, be nice if City sent a few our way.

Good signing for the plastics, seems he's made of glass though.

Skalak deal would be permanent and apparently break our record fee (which, to be fair, is only £800k, but has stood for THIRTY years). What a time to be alive.

No money for us and Derby either who were beaten by an illegal squad in the playoffs, costing us millions. Joke!

They have to pay £42m and get a transfer ban in January, don't they?

Or is it only £20m?
I think it's case of them accepting the embargo and paying £17M, then paying the rest over a period of time or stumping up the entire amount (£42M) now. That would have essentially killed the club, I guess, but it's been going on so long that it's nice to see an end to it.
If QPR had been let off the majority of the fine, with all possible respect to them, it would have been a travesty.

Feel they’ve got off a bit lightly here, as they’re paying off the bill over 10 years by the end inflation both in real terms and in football terms will mean the remainder of their fine is worth an awful lot less than it is now.

Not much of a deterrent tbh.

I don't disgree MB but if the other option was QPR fold and the EFL get nothing what could they do?
I've no doubt if QPR went back up, the payments would stop.

That ruling sets a massive precedent, clubs could just spunk it and risk a fine that doesn't reflect the earnings they got.

Reece Cole has gone out from us on loan to Yeovil, bit surprised as I thought he might get a chance or two in the first team, but guess it means the likes of Judge and Macleod are expected to stay, even though they are towards the end of their deals.

Engels deal is moving along slowly, competing against Anderlecht and Brugge to try and get him in, a sentence I didn't think I'd be saying about Brentford.

Couple of tweets from journalists today suggesting Boro have bid £10m for Canos. He clearly has a lot of potential, and could be fantastic, but injuries held him back a lot last season (huge shame as just before he got injured he looked unplayable), and so I wouldn't be surprised if we took this and reinvested it back in the squad again.

Wallace and Perch have been sent on their way leaving Gibson as the only trialist left. Probably knows we’re the only club that will offer him a deal with his reputation, certainly at this level anyway.

Actually think Bolton have made some good signings taking into account their situation.

Sold one of our B team left backs to Panathinaikos, Ilias Chatzitheodoridis, hopefully we got a decent fee for him as felt he had a lot of potential, but there were quite a few players between him and a first team place

Paul Clement has confirmed that George Evans is leaving, likely destination is Derby. Not particularly sure why Clement is so desperate to see the back of Evans, he's a good young player with his best years still ahead of him. Now we've got to contend with David Meyler and Dave Edwards in midfield, both of whom are the wrong side of 30!

We’ve matched Leeds’ bid for Bamford, and also offered them a player swap instead, but imagine they will take the cash.

Then, who knows?

Probably for the best, imagine getting a name like that on the back of your shirt
