The only thing more embarrassing than the diving on display by Bristol Rovers is our first half performance here. Absolutely awful - should be at least 4 or 5 down.

Pretty much a repeat of Saturday, opponents have most of the ball we have the best chances and hit the woodwork.

Worrall should score but takes an extra touch and Smith hits the bar with a bicycle kick.

We look poor in possession without Conlon but seem ok at the back so far.

Tempted to get Politic on.

Do Port Vale fans see what I mean now about us being absolutely clueless in the final third?

I do think that 4v1 was not the greatest. Your approach play up to then is really good to be fair.

To be fair, with our attack we could have 95% possession, you could have the Port Vale 1968 back 4 playing with their Zimmer frames, and you’d still seem ok at the back.

It sums us up. That’s what we’ve been doing in 3 games, playing reasonably well, decent approach play, fucking the last bit up. It’s driving me mad.

Can’t see you not scoring the openings you’re getting. We need to take any more opportunities we get.

Swindle probably ahead on points and had came the closest to scoring, though Ryan Watson blazed over a decent chance for Rovers. Could go either way.

We don’t score goals at the moment! Proctor hasn’t been the answer. James Wilson may as well come on.

Now I’ve seen us roll out some absolute horror shows under Abdallah’s watch. However, that first 45 minutes against Bristol Rovers is hands down the worst I’ve ever seen.

If they weren’t shit themselves, they’d be 5-0 up. And that ponytailed prick at the back for us who’s somehow still captain, he wants sending for slaughter. Absolutely fucking garbage.

I’m thinking give it to the hour then Wilson on and then Politic for Garrity and get him playing just behind the front two.

Walsall get the luck that we can't seem to get, a mis hit shot falls to their man to tap in.

Game over

Rochdale equalise, only for Matty Stevens to put us straight back in front. Commentators comparing him to Gerd Muller, ‘The Forest Green bomber’

Some turnaround given he was out on loan on the Stevenage bench last season.

Pathetic attacking display this.
We’ve had plenty of the ball but done fuck all with it. Toothless.

Damn it hit the woodwork again.

Edit - and one off the line right after.

After 14 hours we have finally scored from open play

We deserve a point in this game, we not throw it away now

Should be winning that. Another in the frustrating category. Again the woodwork struck twice and Carlisle were knackered by the end but we’ve got to capitalise.

Probably a fair result over all. We’ve had a couple of close calls but overall not enough up top from either team.

We've finally broke our drought and it was without a single fit striker, thank you to Walsall for their defending.

We deserved a point again tonight, the team worked their socks off it's just a shame we lack so much quality.

Well we normally get beat down at Swindon so a point is a solid result. We still haven’t conceded in the league this season and we’re unbeaten but we badly need a new striker. Like really really badly need one.

Mansfield were clearly the better team, and fully deserved the win, comfortable throughout except maybe the last five minutes, but unfortunately the referee decided to give away a incredibly soft penalty in the 4th minute of stoppage time.

Admittedly Colchester were not up to much at all, but we played really well tonight and didn’t deserve to be robbed of three points. I need to rewatch the penalty incident, but it looked like a suspect decision, after that shocking referee performance on Saturday nothing surprises me.

Only criticism I can give the team is that we didn’t manage to score another goal, because I think it’s fair to say we were comfortably better, unfortunately at 1-0 all it takes is a poor refereeing decision, or a bit of bad luck!

I think that's us, Carlisle, yourselves and Scunny all saying similar about up front and that's just off the top of my head. Definitely a pattern emerging among many of us.

Utterly dreadful game. We are so depleted we played Caprice on the left and he has no left foot. Barrow hit and hoped but we stood firm, that's all we could do in the circumstances. Hilarious when Cooper was sent off.

Feels like the officials are trying their best to ruin our fun after Saturday doesn’t it!? Plenty of positives, but we should be going in to Saturday with a perfect record really.

Any normal football team would be finding a way of winning that with the amount of control we had for about 75 minutes, but could easily have lost it with some of port vale’s efforts. But when you’re as toothless as we are, you can’t ask for much more than 0-0 and we didn’t deserve anything more because of that toothless factor. Probably a fair result.

I don’t know how we change ir. Clough returning will hopefully give us something when he starts games, but you struggle to see us hurting teams really.

Bad night at the office for our attacking players (going to be a theme), but a point better off so got to be reasonably satisfied.

Had to watch on the iFollow. Thought we were the better team, without creating anything clear cut. We look a far cry better than last year, and Cooper reckons we are still about 15% short of where we should be due to problems with the training ground. Onto Saturday against our bogey side Harrogate.

I thought it was a decent game between 2 fairly good sides. We did have the possession but I thought Tranmere did look dangerous on the break. I think both teams badly need a striker, we have a youth team player and a 19 year old from Ipswich on loan. 2 decent forwards in and we should be OK this season.
