Not sure why they would be playing a rugby team?

Then again, wouldn’t expect a Mansfield fan to actually understand

Didn’t come across like irony, sounds reads like you disagree with it. Then of course Conkers post too.

Quick look at your forum:

“just watched penalty, absolutely shocking call from the ref

hang your head”

“I wasn't even sure what the penalty was given for. There was no foul.”

“I don’t think it was a penalty but Macca did give the ref a decision to make.”

;)

You embarrassed yourself after your loss to us the other week but yet seem so keen to keep the theme going.

Excellent

Right I understand what’s happening now, this forum is populated with two Bristol Rovers fans that are still obsessed about the events of the opening game of the season, even after they just won.

Football is back :woo:

Strange game at Crawley.

Salford looked really good. They came at us and we couldn't get out of our half. Lots of really good play down their left. Henderson scored from one cross and he kept on getting between the two centre backs...we were lucky to be in it.

If you could give an assist to a keeper for saves then Glenn Morris deserves it. Salford clean through saved and got the ball to the edge of the area where Dalison dallied. Morris to the rescue with another decent save and booted clear...falls to us quick feet, charge forward 1-1.

Second half was much more even (we were a bit better than them) and Hessanthaler won it for us with a great impression of a centre forward with a far post header. Then we go to sleep and do our best to let Salford get back into it. Thankfully they were not as good as the first 30 minutes.

Ludwig and Ferry made their football league debuts tonight. Ferry had a very good game Ludwig had a tougher job as Henderson was causing issues for us all night.

Some twat from Crawley threw a flare on the pitch. I know exactly where the next flare needs to go...right where the sun don't shine!

I'm still trying to work out why Saunders got booked for diving in the box when he got up immediately without any protest to chase the ball. We beat Oldham and the ref tonight.
Still need to get more games in the legs and hopefully we will play like we did in the first half for the majority of the game.
That absolutely cracked me up, one of the funniest things I’ve seen. Tried recording it but couldn’t do it on my phone.

Did me make laugh on both ends though, when Thomas’ shot cleared off the line was given as a goal kick. Then someone Hughes (I think) clatters into the Oldham player, gets no ball but all man - ref gives a corner to Oldham. It was 100% a freekick and yellow card against us, but somehow he thinks we got a foot on it to put it out for a corner?

Most I’ve enjoyed a game in a long time, domination should have scored more Stevenage should be grateful to have kept the goal difference down. Don’t let Angol take pens again ffs!

Chalk and cheese to the game against Oldham on Saturday.

Did I? Seems like I called y’all out for your ridiculous statements and not one of you could back up what you said.

But don’t worry, I’m sure Mansfield fans patting Mansfield fans on the back gives you confirmation bias of being correct.

It’s always a good idea to not let incidents in other games that you’ve not watched affect your viewpoint, ignorance is rife on here already!

Saturday we witnessed a abysmal referee display, but we won so it doesn’t matter. Like I said regarding tonight I need to see the penalty again but it looked soft, couldn’t quite tell what contact caused the player to fall.

A comment on Stagsnet says the Colchester commo guys didn’t initially think it was a penalty, so seems like a fair view to be atleast a tad skeptical.

Well we normally get beat down at Swindon so a point is a solid result. We still haven’t conceded in the league this season and we’re unbeaten but we badly need a new striker. Like really really badly need one.
Agreed
I thought it was a decent game between 2 fairly good sides. We did have the possession but I thought Tranmere did look dangerous on the break. I think both teams badly need a striker, we have a youth team player and a 19 year old from Ipswich on loan. 2 decent forwards in and we should be OK this season.
Swindon were marginally the better side on that showing and Joe Murphy's saves kept us in the game, although Rovers had a few decent chances of our own and unlike the weekend actually tested your keeper a couple of times. Bit surprised at the home choice of Grant for your MoM, Payne, Reed and McKirdy all seemed to have better games.

The sponsors man of the match award is always questionable. I agree with you and I actually thought Grant had one of his poorer games, very sloppy in possession. Payne would have been my choice.

So again, to put it into context i said it was a colchester penalty and yet you proceed again with this.

Wow

What ridiculous comments? your manager beats people? you lost to us?

I’m confused

That's the best performance I've seen in years. Echo what everyone has already said. Could have been six or seven and it'd have been well deserved. Great way to top off my birthday! Me and my dad have booked Mansfield away. Really can't wait.

Beginning to realise how satisfying that 1-0 win that sent you down was.

Class away day that, roaming round as minions having pints with bristol city fans.

Out of curiosity given the massive gap with you and bristol city are you actually rivals? it’s like mansfield claiming we’re rivals with forest, which we clearly aren’t.

Wouldn’t you be better off having a rival with someone more fitting and realistic like newport or forest green?

If things don’t go your way you can just hit your mrs i suppose.

I quoted yours and conkers comments about a “penalty”. We both know what that meant. You tried to back out of it after, but if you actually reread the conversation, I was replying on the basis in which BRFCgas said there was high bias from Mansfield fans, of the posts there - I think that’s warranted.

Your ridiculous comments about Barton being completely out of order. I asked you to reply and back that statement up a few times, but you always ignored it.

Its amusing you seem to think we’re so upset with losing to you, didn’t even see the game. We lost to Stevenage too, but no - Mansfield really got to us. I guess it’s just a big club thing, we’ve never lost to such a massive club before.

Im not surprised you’re confused, seeming as we’ve had you confuse Bristol Rovers with Bristol (rugby) and a fellow of your fans confuse football with WWE - it seems to be a bit of a pattern really. It’s a shame, I had a good chat with Mansfield fans the Croatia game. Not sure if they represent the true fan base, or this forum does?

Grr, you’ve got us so bad there. I’ve never been so insulted in my life.

Worst attempt at a wind up I’ve probably ever read. Sleep off the beers mate, you’ll feel better tomorrow.

Oh and joking about beating women is disgraceful behaviour. You should be ashamed.

Finally home so can give a better summary.

First half was just a continuation of the Tranmere game, allowing Carlisle loads of possession without being too concerned in terms of looking like conceding but we created the best chances, absolutely super ball through for Worrall who should score and Smith with an overhead on a corner saw it bounce of the bar with the keeper beaten. We got into good positions but took a touch to many, you can see we are low on confidence in front of goal. Carlisle had a couple of openings but nothing to worry Covolan apart from a long ranger he parried over the bar and a 4 on 1 they made a huge mess with.

Second half we had more of the ball and gradually Carlisle got deeper and deeper, we threw on Amoo and really started to have a go, Amoo rifled a rocket which their keeper made a mess off and pushed it onto his post, Rodney got in a great position to score but took too many touches and we had one of the line, Carlisle started wasting time and frustrated us with it, the old “head injury” as a ball comes out to us to reload the box and miracle recovery but the referee drop balls it to their keeper?!

Referee was awful, especially first half.

Overall had the chances to win it, we need to control possession better though, we looked fitter than Carlisle which is progress from Askey considering we were chasing the ball first half they were cramped up second half.

Worrall needs to be further forwards, I love Rodney but he frustrates the life out of me.

Wilson held the ball up well but didn’t really get into positions to score.

We are 90% there but it’s that 10% off which is up front, no rub of the green yes but poor decisions too. It will click I’m sure but hopefully the new striker is a decent one that we are to sign as we need options.

Get Conlon and Gibbo back soon and Politic should be fit enough soon and I’m sure it will improve but pleased with most of it so far.

I don’t know if it was just because the microphones were next to a select few or if more were taking part but those who booed at the final whistle can do one as far as I’m concerned. It wasn’t terrible by any stretch, not saying it was great but there’s stuff to take from it even if get sick of talking about taking the positives.

That one from Rodney in the box where he wanted to take it round their defenders 50 times rather than shooting really was frustrating to watch. Love a lot of his game but sometimes he can leave you tearing your hair out. Shame as Walker had played a beautiful pass into him to set it up.

I just remember lots of fans from lots of different clubs saying you were wrong

Seems a common theme.

Odd that fans from other clubs would agree with the mansfield fans about your views.

And yet, here you are, still fascinating over mansfield.

As joey would say, if you’ve a problem, hit your mrs

yup, you’ve got a small minority of mansfield fans being dicks, fair point

You’ve got your board basically saying to all women and girls were happy to have someone who’s accused of hitting you, classy. on top of
how many many issues beforehand

Any checks on women entering your club?

Was joey inspired by the taliban?

It's funny that sheet as if you just take away the GA at the start you have a perfect definition of the Grimsby Town team from last season.

Likewise our keeper is currently leading the MOTM poll on our forum. Draw probably fair in the end. Entertaining 0-0. Both teams in need of a forward like most others in the division.

Very enjoyable 0-0 - no shithousery, no feigning injury, no pretend fouls by either side. Great midweek turnout by Tranmere in what was an excellent 8,324 attendance. We created a host of chances - most half chances - Tranmere had a couple of nailed on ones and fluffed them.

Weird seeing 2 teams in L2 playing such controlled football - credit to this league. Both desperate for a striker to make that difference.

If we finish above Tranmere this season, we’ll get promoted. I expect them to be right up there. Looked a real good outfit.
