Very much so, but that never warrants a punch in the face.Cynical foul by their guy first though, only looking at the man, they were like that all game. We shouldnt react though
Should be a sellout on Saturday. And when the away win finally came, it was a piece of piss. That never looked like being anything other than three points. We played... quite well. Delighted for Cullen. Now let's make this away win count by following it up at home.
Really strange statement, Thought we were comfortable most of the match.Derek Adams: "We've had a good start to the season. We had a real go tonight."
Is this guy actually pissed or is he just a moron?
I watched on Ifollow, wasn't at the game. Nothing that sticks in my memory suggests he was, but maybe? Always a bit different on what someone calls a dodgy tackle depending on if it's on your player or theirs, but I can't recall anything (then again, I might have just been scrolling down the different feeds on my phone when they happened...). Our manager said one angle gave the impression that contact may have occurred re the penalty/red card situation, but apart from that he said from every other position you could see clear daylight between both players, and I do get that impression as well from the highlights clips that there wasn't any contactDevon Lad; reads like you was at the game. Was Appiah the recipient of a couple of dodgy tackles as the interviews suggest he was?
There's a slow motion video of the incident on the Crawley fans forum and to be honest there's not enough contact to give a penalty (remember I said this when slagging my opinion on one that goes our way) but at full speed its pretty clear the ref guessed. Which is something he apparently said he did when booking a player from each side after a little melee !
I will say that Yems needs to concentrate on things he can control rather than being a second referee's assessor. High balls into the box are still not being defended properly so some extra time on the training ground or find someone who can coach that better would be a more productive use of his time.
Worse thing about speaking about the ref is it distracts from talking about a cracking header from Appiah and a screamer from Jay!.
Casey
Yeah he hasn't had the greatest starts has he.Very much so, but that never warrants a punch in the face.
What was he even thinking? He’d just come on ffs
Sounds deluded to me. A really good start to the season? They should be minimum top 7. Seems like he's started bullshiting which is the sign of a manager under pressure.Really strange statement, Thought we were comfortable most of the match.
Indeed - we have a third too, Theo Archibald also has one!Orient seemed to have two players with long throws, both Ogie and James? Not seen that too often.
It definitely feels like the standard has dropped over the years we’ve been down here. Orient are the only team we’ve played who looked good and even then not as good as say Swindon or Crewe when they went up a couple of years agoAs a Mansfield fan we’ve been in this division for a long time in a row, and have been for majority of the time I’ve been supporting them and I can honestly say it looks like the quality has dropped again. Harrogate looked decent to be fair, Bradford certainly didn’t look poor but other than that it’s been a very low standard. You can only say Mansfield have played well twice this season against Colchester and Port Vale.
Don't worry. He's said he will sort it and the quality of his signings gives you every confidence; the irish centre half with the funny name, Angol, Robinson and Lavery. All legends in their own lifetime.Derek Adams: "We've had a good start to the season. We had a real go tonight."

Sorted for you.Don't worry. He's said he will sort it and the quality of his signings gives you every confidence; the irish centre half with the funny name, Angol, Robinson and Lavery. All legends in their own lunchtime.
I haven't watched it back but my opinion:Adams said he's watched the Hartlepool game back and that he thought we were 'actually very good'. Errrrm...
Niche stat: the 14344 people present at Valley Parade on Tuesday is the highest attendance to ever see Hartlepool United win an away game by more than one goal. It beats the previous highest of 13717, also at Bradford, in 1952.
