Mansfield let you off the hook tonight, let’s not pretend otherwise. It was a great Mansfield goal too, played some good football in that second but just lacked something to get another.

Actually bemused by Vale tonight; right up there in the table, second best the entire night, managed to get a free kick and score a good goal, but instead of trying to score another and probably kill us off you decided to initiate time wasting and were very fortunate to be playing a Mansfield side with very little confidence or quality upfront and took a point.

We were miles off it, but did think in the main we defended well enough to get the point, it’s one of those if we cling on to the 1-0 your talking perfect away performance I guess. Covolan hasn’t really had a save of note other than the penalty to make despite the huge pressure so would be unfair not to credit the back line, Martin headed everything that came across the box. Oddly despite that we’ve come closest to a winner with the free kick off the bar but would have been a travesty!

We did that kind of game management stuff against Scunthorpe and nearly blew what should have been a routine win, Cov is the master of it and loved the Smithy rugby tackle Cheilini style… we are learning lessons of last season in that aspect but needed to have more threat and try and get a second to hold on to.

I said before the game it would be tough and we were due a shitter and panned out that way. Just hope Procs is back at the weekend though as we missed his presence up front today.

I have no idea who is good in this division and who is bad. Except for us, we're fucking awful. I don't know if it's our awful way of playing football that seems to drag teams to our level but we've not really played anyone good this season. I feel like most teams in the league are probably of a similar standard except us.

When we played Port Vale, who are in the play-offs, it looked like 21 sunday league players and Tom Conlon on the pitch, there was about one bit of quality in the entire game and it was their goal. FGR are top and they only beat us because of some dodgy decisions and good fortune. Exeter looked solid but I imagine they would look poor if Matt Jay wasn't playing. Swindon looked like they had something about them on the first day but not sure how they've performed since.

Another compliment towards the Mansfield fans who have been great home and away this season, we can’t win a game so it’s all we’ve got.

Nice touch that Sir Mal got a standing ovation by the home fans when he was subbed.

Don't normally see that but Sir Mal is a bit special and many stags fans were sad that he left the Stags at the end of last season.

I felt Mansfield played well enough and had enough opportunities to be disappointed at not getting a 2-1 win.

We still have glaring weaknesses. We need him in defence but the front line without Hawkins is very lightweight. The defence still makes me nervous and we still have no pace whatsoever which will stop us climbing the table.

However, I liked the fight and determination that we showed; they deserved to be unanimously clapped off at the end as they played well. More performances like that and we should get a win soon.

I thought it was strange that Vale didn't go for it while ahead. If they'd have got another goal while in front we'd have folded.

Keeper might be upset with the free kick. Great strike but after setting up the wall and the player striking it at the keeper's side, you might wonder what happened. The second free kick great strike again but it looked like he had it covered even though the Vale hit the bar. Will be interesting to see them back.

we didn't start playing until the last half an hour - it looks like Coopers game plan was to tire Scunthorpe out by passing the ball a lot without going anywhere. Could have been 2-0 down at HT but Loft hit the advertising hoardings with his penalty.
We woke up a bit 2nd half, were gifted a penalty (was definite handball - but pointless) - but Banks spot kick was well saved, That woke us up and we then hit the post, then equalised, then hit the bar.
Could and should have won it in the last 20 mins though.

Good game that, right result in the end. No idea how the ref saw a corner for our goal, looked like two of our players went for the ball so not sure which Orient player he thought it had come off? We’ll gladly take it though.

Cracking finish from Sotiriou tbf.

Out of curiosity how is Rhys Oates getting on for you lot? And whereabouts is he playing?

. We sat back and invited pressure on and Harries stupidly gets a 2nd yellow for taking about 20 minutes to take a throw in in the by the Colchester corner flag ffs. A deserved red, but so so stupid.

Unsurprisingly Barton doesn’t think it was a red as the “ball was out of play” but some refs are hot on time wasting and others not
Obviously this ref thought is was worthy of a 2nd yellow though but I can understand the frustration as a lot of time wasting can go unpunished.

What a win that was to get us off the mark away.

Mark Cullen confirms what we've been saying that he's the only proper striker we have and seeing what the goals meant to him was great to see. Needs a run in the team.

Games like that just remind me how lucky we are to be out the National League. Playing at grounds like that in front of that many fans. Brilliant for the club to be back and the fans are fully on board.

Can't pick out a bad performance from 1 to 11. Fully deserved against an insipid Bradford team especially second half they were very poor.

Take a lot of confidence from that ahead of a tough game against H£rrogate on Saturday.

Just seen a quick clip of the penalty/dive incident.

First view. It's a pen. Second view, not so sure.

Must say the keeper is lucky if he didn't catch him and again for man handling him after the ref had made his decision.

Played some great football - especially 1st half. Could/should have scored 3 or 4 more. Stood up well to the bombardment in the 2nd half. Looking good!

Newport down to 9 men. Straight red I looked like
Nope. Haynes got a deserved second yellow, irresponsible after Upson's straight red for handball. I thought he headed it but the ref had a better angle than the camera.

Upfront now, played well tonight but the usual powerful run, does everything right then doesn’t have the quality at the end. that’s the only thing letting him down, great work ethic though.

Obviously not at the game so no comment on whether the ref made the right call with the sending off but I will say Nadesan is not known to be a diver.

There was clear daylight between the keeper and Nadesan. He certainly wasn't fouled. But I'd say he more so jumped over the keeper to avoid being clattered than actually diving though.

You not only beat us but at 3-1, we got away with one. Harrogate (or anyone else, even Scunny) will give you a much harder game than that).

I see how I missed it, blink and it’s done. What a prick, hope he gets more than 3 games for that.

So striking a player IS a red card now? In August you said it wasn't

Having seen the incident again, I think it was a dive, and the reaction of the players seem to bear that out.
No idea how he managed to book the wrong players though.

Played really poorly, never got a grip of thing and too many players let the game pass them by.

We take the point and move on.

After seeing the highlights I may upgrade my initial thoughts to a dive and the correct call by the ref.

As a Mansfield fan we’ve been in this division for a long time in a row, and have been for majority of the time I’ve been supporting them and I can honestly say it looks like the quality has dropped again. Harrogate looked decent to be fair, Bradford certainly didn’t look poor but other than that it’s been a very low standard. You can only say Mansfield have played well twice this season against Colchester and Port Vale.

Difference between punching in the face and pushing someone’s head.

No surprise that you’re desperate for an argument again though. How many last words do you want this time?

Hartlepool fully deserved the win last night. Fantastic backing from your fans all night. The loudest I've heard from the away support on a midweek night for years.

Apart from the first half against Bristol Rovers on Saturday we have been a shambles for weeks now. 1 win in 11 in all completions now. Derek Adams has certainly got his work cut out with our current spineless squad.

Swindon away next for us, another defeat is inevitable

Good luck for rest of the season Poolies, good to see you back in the Football league

Agree with all the other posters that this was a most entertaining game and a draw a fair result.
The fantastic goal-line clearance by Orient defender [Kyprianou?] after 15 minutes helped determine the game.
I was almost ready to celebrate ball in back of net.
The crowd were noisy but I did notice that immediately from start of 2nd half that the Orient supporters raised their vocal support. Perhaps because their team were playing towards their own hard core supporters. Made and increased a terrific atmosphere.
Orient's No 25 player Ogie deservedly won their MoM. At throw-ins adjacent to penalty area, he constantly threw ball into that danger area. Powerful throws, but unlike Cheltenham last season, he did not have a target man and they were all dealt with safely. If he had a target man Orient could emulate Cheltenham with promotion.

The trip to London's East End was longer than planned. A four-car pile up on M25. So not stopping on route. Perhaps that made the purchase of pie 'n mash all the nicer.
Looking through the coach window I thought the area around Orient was most ethnically diverse place I'd ever travelled through. Bold and colourful it was, with shopkeepers from around the world. But I did notice a huge shop sign for CRIMINAL SOLICITORS !!! :)
