Only change we might make is to rest Kieran Lee tonight but he was so so good on Saturday and after a 6-0 do you change the team to rest someone? I’m not sure. We will be confident but it’s a very different challenge against you. Sunderland were open and tried to play expansively and we ripped them to shreds. We tend to outfootball a lot of the possession based teams like Ipswich and Sunderland but struggle to break teams down that sit in and hit us on the break or are very direct. Not sure what to expect… would take a scrappy 1-0 win right now.
Yeah we won’t be expansive - we don’t do that! We’ll sit back and frustrate. We are capable of playing some decent stuff but we won’t be throwing bodies forward unnecessarily.

Wigan - Oxford, a draw would be nice.
Cambridge to beat Bolton pretty please. Just because masi51 has again informed us that Bolton are the very very very best team in league one. :fing:

Oxford will win. Playing a really weak team and a formation that doesn't work. Seberal players out of position. Really don't get it. Bench looks strong. I thought the purpose of a weaker team against Cheltenham was so we could go full strength today? Wasted opportunity tonight.

If you can play a strong team tonight, or one on Saturday in the cup, then when the hell can you?
What are you saving them for ?

No Kieran Lee. Slight knock. Surprised Bakayoko is starting though. Expected it to be Sadlier. Dapo will be playing deeper then I expect or 343 instead of 3412?

No idea, since Cook left Ipswich it's like Richardson has turned into Cook. Gone more negative and stubborn and picking favourites rather than the best players.

Getting absolutely battered again by Rotherham, we’ve gone from being fairly competitive to clueless in 3 days

Bolton deserve to be leading but we hit the post and have had some good chances.

Bolton players crying every time they get touched and every time Digby fouls a player you realise there are Bolton fans in the stadium.

You definitely created a couple of decent chances and I was impressed with Iredale until he went off but we definitely could have had 3/4 on another day. Fossey could have had a hat trick at the back post and Mitov has made a couple of good saves. We haven’t lost from a winning position this season and you haven’t won from a losing position… 2-1 Cambridge incoming…

Iredale is a huge player for us, just as important as Ironside so he’s going to be a big loss.

I can’t see us turning this around. The best we can hope for is a point but we look out on our feet with such a small squad and the amount of games we’ve played in a short period of time. Fossey looks quality!

Sick to fucking death of us trying to play out from the back all the time. We're not Barcelona just fucking hoof it. Cost us the win by the look of it.

2-0. Against the run of play tbh. Cambridge improved a lot after half time. Great finish from Dapo on the counter.

Draw was a fair result but we just gave it away. Shooting ourselves in the foot game after game after game and we are in real trouble because of it.

Not pretty, yet a terrific draw away from home comprising one of the best team goals you’ll see for a long time. Defensively Moore and McNally were terrific. We offered little offensively second half but I’ll take it. A valuable point.

Wigan are very efficient. Good players in key positions whilst being solid defensively. The gap between playoffs and autos is that bit of an ‘x’ factor. We are seeing it again this season.

Also a nice touch to see our former loanee, Jordan Thorniley at the game despite returning to Blackpool. A real credit.

Finally, Andrew Kitchen wasn’t good for both sides. Very strange officiating. Certainly first half his decisions likely impacted the result particularly in the run up to the Wigan goal. That being said, you wouldn’t have begrudged a Wigan win such was the eventual second half pressure.

Terrible first 30 mins with 3 players out of position and the ineffective 4-2-3-1. Oxford passed it around well but apart from the goal which was a great counter attack from our corner I think, thankfully they didn't create anything else.

Switch to 4-3-3 just after 30 mins. Power moved from RB to CM in position. Darikwa from LB to RB his position and Lang out to the right and hey presto, great ball from Power to Lang and a great touch and finish.

Then we were on top from just after 30 mins till the end and really should have won. Oxford didn't get close to creating a chance after 30 mins.

Play the right formation with players in the right positions and we play well. Hope Richardson just keeps the sort of set up that we played the last hour with and bins off 4-2-3-1 for good then we will get some decent results in the next month.

Fair play Bolton well deserved, one game too far for us and with too many key players missing. The goals both came when we had our better spells but we can’t complain at the score.

More importantly, hoping/praying Iredale isn’t out for too long - probably been our best player this season. And also importantly, Morecambe losing was handy too.

A game we deserved to win but we made hard work off and nearly threw it away in the dying embers of the game.

3 very tough games coming up next and Harlee Dean going off after 7 minutes isn't ideal

Was mocked this time last year.......No keeper at Bolton has come in and kept 4 clean sheets in his first 4 games
The speed at which we break is frightening. Fossey,Dapo and Charles are as good as anything in the championship never mind league one. Missed Lee tonight but we will have Dempsey to step in from now on

Proof will come in the coming weeks/months

Excelent first half we could have been out of sight at half time, but at 1-0 fair play to Cambridge they put a real shift in second half and up to our second it was game on, We have serious options in midfield and upfront now, it's starting to feel a lot like last season.
