I may well be wrong that I assumed that as a pundit he would be earning more than a league one manager. Moreover, he has been doing the pundit thing for so long that it must be relatively easy, especially as he has been set up as the Craig Revel-Horwood, talks sense but not easily impressed, role?

Even without punditry, I suspect Keane doesn't need the money so I can't see Sunderland being a pull in that respect!

I'd quite like to see Keane back in management. He's been out of it for a while, mind.

Away at MK for us tomorrow.

Joe Walsh apparently back in the squad having only featured three times this season and I'd throw him straight in to try and tighten us up at the back.

We're ok away from home but absolutely stinking at home!

Roy Keane has wanted to get back into management for ages, just hasn't had the offer.

He applies for the PNE job every time and was close to getting it when we appointed McAvoy supposedly.

A bit like us. OK, we aren't stinking at home but wecertainly aren't as good as we are away.

We are seriously struggling injury wise

Iorfa
Dunkley
Dean
Gibson (apparently he's come back from Everton, lasted 45 mins in two games)
Shodipo
Windass
Dele Bashiru
John Jules (Donny lads said he was a crock)
Gregory

Of that lot 5 would start for me.

John Jules is a crock, we had him on loan too!
Broke a bone in his foot from memory.
Wasn't very good either, scored once but missed some absolute sitters!

Difficult to be optimistic about our trip to Oxford today. Out of form, can't score goals, disappointing transfer window which has probably left us weaker, squad-wise.

We're still decent at the back, but there is a sense that once our defence is breached we're basically done for. If Jacobs starts, which looks likely, then we may finally have some creativity up front. Difficult to see past another defeat though.

Weather is horrendous. We played ok opening 10 then Morecambe have probably been the better team but they have been down wind first half. Hopefully will be an advantage for us second half

Conditions and pitch not great but I'll take that as it stands.

From the ridiculous to the sublime, what an absolute contrast from Tuesday we could be at least 4 up, hit the post, yanked two shots wide and scored 2 crackers, it’s wonderful listening to 37,000 + booing their heads off because they thought they would win 10-0. Probably get beat but the first half has been an utter tonic

Santos has just been sent off for handball and it hit him on the shoulder whilst his arms were by his side. What a joke this ref is. Absolute disgrace

And then he scores immediately after. Ref has decided this. Absolute farce. Rarely been this angry about football

Match has been suspended due to abuse from Morecambe fans towards our bench. Police involved. Unsure what was said but our bench and Evatt went ballistic.

Ive just seen a clip of that on Twitter. Your keeper is as much to blame as anyone, what’s he doing flapping at a cross like that?

Tbh we didn’t deserve to win the game. Both teams struggled with the weather but Its just the decisions at this level. Happened a few times last season but nothing like that.

Much improved performance from us at Ipswich, light years ahead of how we played the last time we met. Hit the woodwork twice in the second half before Town scored against the run of play and held on for the win. Positive signs for us even if we do still go down.
