Keep writing us off folks, 30 more points required from 18 games is all we need I rekon.

The best thing about Ipswich, Derby and Bolton making the play offs this season is at least two of them will lose. Weird fanbases

I'm definitely guilty of anticipating Plymouth would fall away somewhat. It would appear your team didn't get the memo.

As for ourselves; oh how short fans memories can be. We had 15+ years of absolute dross prior to Gamechanger and Mckenna. Whilst auto ambitions now seem a tough ask, we've got excitement & crowds back at PR. I really hope the board don't make a rash decision if the next 5 games; which all appear very winnable, don't go to plan.

I personally think KM's job is very secure, but a small percentage of fans are becoming restless and starting to turn on him and that will grow if we don't put a couple of wins together soon.

I’d still back you to go up even if it meant doing it in the playoffs and speaking from experience last season if you did go up that route it is extremely enjoyable.

Totally get your point, but any Town fan would tell you that historically, whilst not exclusively, the playoffs have been anything but enjoyable for us.

Congratulations on your three points on Tuesday. Bowman with at least 2
Bowman was supposedly free to go for a nominal fee in January but for whatever reason he ended up staying with us. In recent weeks the bloke has been class and scored the winners against both Forest Green and Oxford in this winning run that we’re on. Today he was my MOTM along with Killian Phillips. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him score against his old team on Tuesday. It’s been like having a new signing!

We’re a bit of a bogey team for you but I’m not confident of getting anything unless Pennington is back in the starting eleven. Flanagan will serve the final game of his suspension after 10 yellow cards which is good news for you also.

Has the Jevani Brown incident buggered you lot up a bit? He was unreal when you played against us earlier in the season, by far the best player on the pitch that night.

You are a good side but statistically your gk has been the main difference for you this season… and he’s now injured. It’s not weird fanbases it’s common sense. Wednesday, Derby and Ipswich all have better squads than you on paper (in most people’s opinion) and despite you having a great season you are more likely to bottle it than Wednesday. Not saying you will but as fans of other clubs around you of course we are going to want to write you off…as we want to get ahead of you. How is that weird?

And also you only have 16 games left. Not 18.

Edit* although to be fair looking at your run in it doesn’t look too difficult does it. You don’t have many big sides left. If 10 wins from 16 does it you have a great chance. Still think Wednesday go up as champions though.

A bit, we had 72% possession today but had no end product, bar a few long range efforts and a weak header.
But we also have a lot of new players, I honestly don't think Caldwell knows who to play and in what position, hence playing players out of position.
Diabate went off injured too, looks like he will be out for a while. He was our best defender at the time.

Pitch will be good though, which won't help us one bit.

They’re the second highest scorers so it’s a little unfair to say the keeper is the big difference. From the moment they brought in Finn Azaz in the summer I fancied them. I will admit I’m rooting if nothing else for them to win all their remaining home games just so we can be the one team who’ve gone there and taken anything.

I haven't had chance to see the game, but it's a great win for Wycombe today. It doesn't sound like we played that badly, probably more poor in key situations and paid the penalty. We've got two home games now that should focus the mind a little and both are must win if we want to keep in the hunt.

I think we will see a few changes for the Lincoln game - Sibley and White will come in. Sibley only lost his place due to injury in the first place. Warne has been waxing lyrical about White since he's come in too.

Good to see Dobbin on the scoresheet again, definitely seems like he's stepped up recently.

Wrong side started again, as we all said before the game. We got outmuscled on every ball that came into the box. The 3 goals were pathetic and we then had too much to do.

What's frustrating is that Shrewsbury are a very average side. They play like a Tony Pulis team....bang it in there and hope for knock downs. We were actually much the better team for 75% of the game but had a mad 10 minutes.

We won't go down. There's easily 6-8 teams worse than us but a lot of the good will from last season is quickly evaporating. Bristol Rovers fans did warn us about Clarke and his random team selections and poor signings.
It's when he starts blaming everything else that you will know he is losing it. Won't get any better for Tues as its the anniversary of his daughters suicide

Fortunately, you play us on Tuesday.

All joking aside though, we simply have to beat Cambridge on Tuesday because otherwise we are in serious trouble.

First half today was absolutely embarrassing. The World and his wife knows that Accrington are struggling in defence, so we decide to let them control the game and don't put them under any pressure whatsoever. As bad as we were in the first half though, second half we absolutely dominated. Alfie May has missed an absolute sitter and Sercombe has seen the Accy keeper make a great save.

The ref was shite, but that seems par for the course these days, and Accy's antics in the last 20 mins were absolutely shocking - and I say that as a defender of such tactics. I don't understand why they were doing it though, they need the wins more than we do.

All in all, we simply need to beat Cambridge on Tuesday - lose and I think we may well be in League 2 next season. It is that bad.
We need a minimum of four points from our two home games next week (we’ve got Oxford at home next Saturday). I just can’t see it happening, we’re firmly bottom based on the last 20 games.

More worryingly we played against 10 men for an hour yesterday and only created one shot on target. It’s mind blowing how bad we are.

Based on your current form, it’s going to be a hell of game on Tuesday….!

At the moment he is firmly blaming himself each week.

He may have Crosby take the team Tuesday as he did with the inquest I guess.

I just wonder though if the Portsmouth job has caused an issue, if the talk that he was offered it but couldn’t agree compo was true it may have had an effect, we’ve not won since!

Its that sense of entitlement that has now turned to humbling which has been so sweet to see fella. All those months of Ipswich fans stating that we will drop off and Ipswich has dropped the first bollock.

I get your point about Cooper, hes probably earn’t us 10 points at least this season but who’s to know how many of those points our 2nd string may have got.

Squad wise it’s interesting, we certainly do not have the star studded names which the big boys have within their ranks but if you get 2 minutes take a look at our bench yesterday. After the 4 additions in January and players returning from Injury, I genuinely do not think any other side in this division has the strength in depth we have.

The poor Portsmouth RB yesterday got tore a new one by Mikkel Miller, and after an hour or so we replaced him with Bali Mumba. Same could be said with Azaz replacing Callum Wright.

Fingers crossed we keep picking points up at home and the odd away win should see us through

Nope, you didn't play badly at all, your players looked like they were up for it right till the end.

As Warne said in his post-match comments, it was just a question of margins, we put more of our chances away.

Also we defended really well and our forwards were all tracking back when required, which made a huge difference.

You’ll know better on your own team than me (plus matters at the top of the table are not really our concern) but there is a potential argument going out and spending big on a few players in January could have temporarily unsettled your squad a bit maybe? I’d still back you to go up even if it meant doing it in the playoffs and speaking from experience last season if you did go up that route it is extremely enjoyable.

Town fans have reason to be concerned about play offs. Looking back, we’ve been in play offs 8 times in the championship and only won promotion once, which Bolton and Barnsley fans may remember.

It’s even worse with TV games record, which play offs would likely be.

Regarding January, it was a strange one. I personally think we should have looked to loan players where needed due to injuries.

Its that sense of entitlement that has now turned to humbling which has been so sweet to see fella. All those months of Ipswich fans stating that we will drop off and Ipswich has dropped the first bollock.

I think that’s unfair to say Ipswich fans were ‘stating that’ for months. After our game at your place, most fans I know were complimentary towards you.

If that is how your fans see things from us, you’d be on course to be as bad as Bristol City fans due to Mark Ashton coming over from them, where OTIB now has a page up to 61 pages, including posting’s yesterday.

I feel your pain, we played for an hour against Bolton when they had had the wrong player sent off...fairly easy to tell the difference but I'm not a referee or one of their assistants...they were already a goal up and just dug in to secure all three points. There were some positives, if Bolton had kept eleven players on the pitch they would probably have done severe damage to our goal difference and a 1-0 defeat was a result that certainly exceeded my expectations...and it led to Burchnall being shown the door...not all negative!

Our next two are Charlton at home on Tuesday and the simple matter of Ipswich away next Saturday...that is a scary prospect.

As I said you are a good side but do the likes of Cosgrove, Scarr etc get in any of the teams around you? Not for me. You had a good window but you still lost Whittaker and now lost Cooper. Arguably your 2 best players in the first half of the season. No way you have the depth Ipswich have got.

You are probably more a team that is greater than the sum of its parts and currently outperforming your averages (you can see that with xg/chances created/conceded etc). You definitely have some good players (I really like Mumba) and a great manager but the main difference is Cooper. He’s got the best stats in the entire efl (in terms of outperfoming his xg) and when I checked last week Plymouth had conceded the second or third most shots on target in the league this season. You don’t stop the chances as a team … your gk has kept you in matches… more than any other gk has in the efl. That isn’t a criticism… we all have a player or 2 that really makes a difference… but my point is you have lost yours to injury.

Anyway football is all about opinions…maybe I’m wrong and you are in a great position to get it done now. You have a nice lead over everyone and we are all hoping you’ll come backwards otherwise it’s playoffs which is a lottery.

Really, :ffs:

You are the league 1 Manchester City however much you deny it. If you need to loan players after your profligate pecuniary pretensions something is very wrong at Portman road.
