Looks like Trump won the debate last night. After all his tape controversy, he goes and exposes the Clinton's actual sexual abuse of women.

Now I'm not a fan of either but it is very unfair how the media covers Trump's controversy, yet they completely ignore the fact that Hilary Clinton laughed at getting a paedophile off the hook when she was a lawyer and the fact that her husband is a sexual predator and she refuses to say anything about it.

Something is seriously not right.

I think it would not be a shame if Nigel Farage fell down a well and died.

Is that actually a fact or rather a long-running rumour? I'm simply thinking of the comparison you're making here. Trump made the remarks he did, it's on tape, and therefore his being guilty of those comments isn't even up for debate. Your claim about it being a fact that Clinton is a sexual predator on the other hand is a different matter.

A powerful politician like Bill Clinton hitting on young interns probably does put you in the category of sexual predator. However I don't think accusations that he has sexually assaulted anyone have ever been proven.

Also, and this is quite an important point, Bill Clinton isn't running to be President, his wife is.

I think the idea is that Clinton is somehow complicit in the harassment her husband's alleged victims suffered as a result of going public with their accusations. There's not really much evidence that she actively participated in it or encouraged it, but whether she was complicit by staying silent and standing by him is debatable. It has the impression of putting her own political ambition ahead of a duty to support women who have been manipulated and preyed upon by powerful men, which casts a shadow on her attempt to present herself as the candidate representing the empowerment of women.

Nevertheless, in comparison to a man who has just admitted to sexual assault she's a modern day Emily Pankhurst.

I don't get why the moderation is so strict, this is supposed to be about the next leader of their country, let them give answers to complex questions. The female moderator argued back with Trump at one point, which was very unprofessional.

Tbf he has nothing to say that's worth listening to so it's no big deal.

The fact that Donald fucking Trump is still in the running only shows what a poor candidate Hillary Clinton is. I think she'll win as I refuse to believe there are enough morons in America to elect someone who's as blatantly under qualified as Trump is but she's the epitome of the corrupt establishment and a lot of people don't like/trust her.

I enjoyed Sam Harris' reaction to Trump's suggestion that "we should've just taken their (Iraq's) oil" (at 1:49)

Tbf, I've rarely seen him address the actual question put to him. He either plays the whataboutery game or often goes off on a tangent where the answer has not even remotely got anything to do with the question.

The mod from the first debate might as well have not been there.

Macclesfield Town/Manchester City. It's complicated.
What I particularly like, is that Trump's running mate is a climate change denying, homophobic, misogynistic, anti-choice, young earth creationist. And he's still seen as the second most batshit mental person in that pairing.

How does being anti-choice to abortion make you a mental person?

Trump at 9/2.

Clinton at 1/7.

Surprised how skewed these odds are (to me at least).

Definitely getting a piece of that.

It's not a punt to bet on Trump at this point now, you're just wasting your money.

His campaign was over before the tape was even leaked, yet alone the allegations coming out today/last night.

9/2 is basically saying that there's an 18% chance of him winning.

Between the polls and my own gut feeling I do think Hilary will probably win, but I reckon Trump's chances of winning are higher than 18%, therefore I reckon it's good value and worth a punt.

Trump is evil hes like the devil whereas Hilary is such an angel and she is so perfect she has never said or done anything wrong ever and her husband Bill was a great president so she will be too!!!

Trump would be a big baddy president who will blow up the world and escape in a spaceship and laugh as we all die.

They must vote for Clinton as she will save the children and fix the world from corruption, war and poverty!!

Or alternatively (and being sensible for a minute, look the word up if you like) both are far from ideal choices but Clinton is by far the lesser of two evils? I don't believe anyone has said or even implied that Clinton is anywhere near perfect, or her husband. Or if they did they were a fucking idiot. Trump however is on a whole different level of fuckeduppery.

This is probably the worst post I've read on this forum this year (and I've read all of Alty's in the EU thread)

Trump will lose.... obviously, I said that months ago, the only reason it got relatively close is because the opposition was almost as bad.

It's sad that American has to choose between 2 truly awful candidates.

Almost as sad is to see people in this country actually liking Trump, not sure if this is because there are plenty of idiots or that the country continues to lurch to the right.

The Tories were voted in with a majority. It's not even up for debate.
