A lot of time for Wycombe as a club. Always remember how well they treated Vale fans at our promotion party in 2013. Not to mention having Sir Gareth in charge, top bloke and loved watching him play for us.

We need to smarten up especially in possession. Wycombe are known for being rather ahem streetwise as I understand. It’s a game that I think we can get something from but it will need us to be far sharper in our decision making certainly than we showed yesterday.

Well we could certainly do with a result against Accy, as I don’t see us getting much at Peterborough.

Tough game at Charlton, they have a good home record and we haven't won away yet. Should be a good following from us and maybe a full debut for Stansfield.
Definitely think we can get something out of this though.

1 point from 2 home games isn't ideal. We need to get 3 points from somewhere as we don't want to go on a losing streak. I think we have enough to be comfortable in this division but we need to establish our best team and stick to it.

Wycombe, good club, have shown in recent seasons that you can compete with the big spenders and a good example for the ones outside the big 5 or 6 at this level as what can be achieved.

Ainsworth is obviously loved at Vale Park, still our biggest signing £500k from Lincoln and biggest sale only a year later at 2 million. Some great business by Rudge there to make 1.5 million on him in 12 months and have a year of his ability.

As for the game, Politic will be available and Wilson should be fitter, we’ve a bounce game tomorrow to get more minutes into players. Will be a tough test, they’ve had a similar start to us so it’s winnable but will have to be better than we have been. Hopefully a big reaction after DC went mental at them yesterday.

Good to be back at Portman Road. Expect us to beat Cambridge with a fully fit squad Aluko aside, but 13/2 for an away win seems a little silly.

Early days yet, and the table still means nothing, but an indifferent start to the season for us means that we need to start putting points on the board if we are serious about promotion - and our owner and manager have claimed that as the goal.

Taking nothing for granted here, McCleary starts the first of a three game ban for being a knob and elbowing a Fleetwood player off the ball for a straight red - he’ll be a loss.

Sam Vokes made the bench at Fleetwood for the first time in a few games but didn’t come on - he’s our focal point up front and we’ve missed him, but it remains to be seen if he’s truly fit yet.

So a few question marks here - on the plus side, Mawson and Tafazolli are looking decent at the back, so a clean sheet would be a great foundation, but we clearly have to earn it.

Exactly the same odds as last year and I’m hoping for the same result.
Unfortunately I can’t make this one though as I’m on a stag do which is annoying.
You seem to have pulled your finger out this year so expecting a tough game and it’s a bit of a free hit for us, no one expects to get a result but bonner has a habit of not conforming.

Be nice to see pink jacket man in a huff again!!

Charlton away. Like has been said, they’re decent at home, but we go there full of confidence and no fear. Would take a point, anything more is a bonus.
Can see JS9 starting, then bringing Nombe off the bench last 20.

1200 away tickets sold too, so should be a decent atmosphere in the away end. We always seem to travel well in London, especially the “bigger” clubs.

This guy was my hero. I liked the suggestion on our board to get a whole load of t shirts (ideally in pink) with “pissy little tinpot club” on the front. Honestly, what a bell end.

There’s parallels with 91/92 in this season - us and Ipswich both having good starts and finding ourselves in play offs spots then meeting at Portman Road pre Christmas (it was November in 91). So hopefully the omen is with us and we can pull off a similar result.

In truth, I think this will be one match too far for us and I think Ipswich will overrun us. If we can sneak a time-wasting heavy draw with a dodgy penalty decision going away then that would be fabulous.

With rail replacement buses operating between Cambs and Ipswich I'm not sure how many will be able to make this one tbh.

We've had a decent start, but going to be a tough ask to get anything out of the game on Saturday.

Duff's Barnsley may have clicked with that impressive win at Hillsborough. A tough trip is now looking even tougher. I'll be very happy with a point - 1-1 (Bishop)

They're great at home and easily beat twice us twice down there last season.
They're coming off the back of a great Comeback win, we're coming off the back of an awful performance and home defeat in a South Yorkshire Derby.
Not sure how the Bookies have us down as favourites.

It may sound odd, but Moore will be under pressure if we lose.
Last season we lost so many points, away against teams, who just got in our faces, made us Battle or simply threw in crosses and made us defend.
This season we've struggled against "The High Press", we've got earn the right to be able to play our Football.
Time for us to show some Bollocks and prove we're more than just a good team/squad on paper.

MK Dons. Home win written all over it unless the team start defending better.
There has already been plenty of changes in defence and defensive midfielders due to injuries and suspensions so that wont have helped

I've been on that line, its probably quicker to go into Liverpool Street and out again!

First game of the season for me and first trip to MK.

Got a feeling of a 3-0 loss tbh

Fleetwood at home for us.
Now that plank has gone we will be saved from a sub 2,000 gate as no doubt people ( like me ) who were staying away Will go again.
Dino in charge for now - don’t want him there but let’s see if we can steady the ship.
Will be a tough game, and despite the uplift in mood I can see a defeat - 2-1.

Bit of a bastard for this one that you can only go and collect away tickets from the Vale ticket office when I looked to try and purchase them yesterday. Presumably it’s connected with the postal strikes. Wycombe fans would I be right in presuming you can pay on the day as an away fan?

Surely its time to move away from physical tickets and just send them by email or other electronic means

We are still plagued by injuries and simply didn't strengthen sufficiently in the window to cause sides too many problems. If we win, it'll be scrappy.

Home to Accy for us, in a game we need to be targeting to win, although they're always one of those awkward teams to play against for us.

Suspect they'll be a shake-up in selection, especially in defence, after Saturday's poor performance.

It's a decent away day to be fair, but usually spoiled by the result! I don't see Saturday being any different though unfortunately.
Grigg to get his usual goal or 3

I did try and check on our official site about this but it's really not clear to me. I think our stadium is cashless now, I don't know if that stops you paying on the day or not. If your site doesn't make it clear either then it may be worth giving the Wycombe ticket office a bell - 01494 441118.

Well our September tour of the most fancied and or in form teams continues. In my view Wednesday are the stand out side in the league, and I’ll be very surprised if they are not in position one or two at the season’s close.

Should be a cracking game. Home Park is becoming a fortress, but this will be our toughest so far. Should be a sell out, looking at the website I reckon there are only 600 or so tickets to go (there were just under two thousand yesterday).
