Pen early, bit harsh i though for high boot as our lad was putting his head in but certainly clattered him, then second was Doidge showing what we've been missing by doing the striker's thing of being in the right place for the rebound and making no mistake. Camped a bit in our half after and conceding too much ground in midfield, but not been too much panic stations either. Also nice to out-shithouse a Cowley side.

Shambles of a half. Dont agree with putting 2 CBs who barely played for months in. Especially when Tozer is the 3rd.

2 shocking goals too concede, don't deserve the goal we scored. Can't remember Mullin getting a touch. Difficult when everything is hoofed up.
We've been poor for the last 4 or 5 games now. Be dropping out the autos and can't see us getting back in them the way we are playing lately. Big improvement needed.

Very lucky to still be in the game at HT, it's another awful game, awful windy weather and a shithole of a stadium and we can't deal with it.

Woeful again on the road and Salford are a poor side but are simply more up for it than we are and 2 corners going in that we haven't dealt with.

Bringing Hayden and Tunnicliffe back in when they've not started for months is a mad one from Parkinson.

We need changes at half time, Hayden and Dalby off for O'Connell and Fletcher.

Very lucky win for us today, Swindon definitely won the first half and it wasn't until they scored that we woke up.
Swindon's sub Elbouzedi ran us ragged on the right wing 2nd half.

Gradually getting into the game after an opening thirty which was mainly Crewe, though the visitors were unable to convert greater possession into serious chances. Hard to call but Rovers need to improve to get something out of this one. The Nevitt v Turnbull battle looks capable of blowing up. Crewe had to sub keepers at h/t

As log as we have 3 at the back, the team's always going to look a bit defensive.

Not sure who the 2 are. Young, Gillead and Chapman all attackers.
Obviously 0-0 at half time doesn't do much to disprove your concerns.

We have to change things now that Jake Young is back. I don't know if Cook and Young can play together. I mean, obviously they can, but then something has to give formation-wise.

Adapting to Young (or in my mind, shaping the team around Young) will take a few matches because they're completely different players, and the midfielders need to play differently, but the way we were doing things wasn't working.
Pointon is coming on now (for Chapman by the sound of it), and I do think that Pointon could play the provider for Young. I might be wrong, but it would certainly be my plan A.

This game is absolutely there for the taking, we’ve had so many shots in this second half I don’t think Accrington have had any but you just know we’re gonna lose it 1-0 with a late goal.

Somehow got one back for the draw, long punt from well outside trickling through and either Doidge or Stevens seemed to nick it on the way so it spun in out their keeper's hands, but what a terrible second half and not sure what SC can do about a side who can't protect a two goal lead. Was pretty much defence versus attack until they'd gone ahead.

Didn't get battered, didn't sound like we were awful on the radio, didn't drop out of the playoffs. Certainly went better than it usually does.

Agree we lack something off the bench but Jatta can hopefully be that soon.
