Love that mansfield performance today, which was basically fuck off.

Must place on record that county were an impressive side, and created decent chances throughout.

Another side come to mansfield, another side who achieved fuckall

Naughty bradford fan racially abused Omar today. Game was stopped for it.

I don't particularly rate him tbh. Think there's 5 or 6 better all round strikers at this level alone.

If I was Notts I'd take the money.

I'd take the money too, he and the team struggles against better opposition no doubt but all round strikers don't fetch as much money as natural goalscorers who have a knack of getting in the right position. His goal record is no fluke and if you only see him a few times on TV and against your side I get why you might not particularly rate him. But Notts fans have seen him a lot more and get the full picture.

Not a brilliant performance today but solid is probably better. One of those where neither really shown any quality other than the goal, I don’t think they had a shot on target in the end but made some chances in the first half, County looked dangerous most when McGoldrick dropped deep and kept trying to make things happen - best player on the pitch today.

My prediction for Jodi Jones was correct, Clarke harassed him and mostly kept him in check, he started dropping to the floor while having a mardy - fortunately he spent the second half with his bottom lip on the floor which made it easier for us because he’s obviously quality. Langstaff did not bother to turn up against us again, was like playing with 10 men for County.

Regarding the phantom ‘goal’ it’s the first I’ve heard about it being over, so I’ll come back to that when I see footage, same with the penalty claim which I missed, if it’s the same as ours ie a County player turned one of ours in the box then got dragged down before he shot then yeah it’s a penalty.

Edit - a few on stagsnet saying it was over, some not so sure so closer than it came across to where I was sat.

You saw the game but you aren't aware of the 'is the ball over the line' and you missed the penalty claim?!?

Are you saw you saw the match?

Overall didn't deserve to lose today but because it against Mansfield we do, as predicted at least four too many times (just to make sure!)

Thought both sides were very average tbh and often devoid of ideas. Agree with Jacob once again in this fixture we lack the necessary intensity, desire and physicality required to get a result. Seen it a dozen or so times before. Dull but expected.

Nigel needed that victory and he got it. You're welcome. He should be in a lot better mood this Saturday evening.
Goals count we scored notts never looked like scoring

Didn’t get the rub of the green today really with a possible over the line one not given in the first half and then a penalty appeal on Langstaff which was, hilariously, basically identical to the one last week which Stags had such a complete headloss over.

Personally don’t think we can have too many complaints, yes we played some nice football and probably deserved a point at least but they were pretty clearly there for the taking if we could play with some intensity and match the physicality, and we couldn’t. Again.
You lost because we are a better side ,a better club and a better set of fans now bugger off

Great win, tight game until Stockton scored and then we should've had a couple more.

We've not had an easy away game all season, this league is tough on the road. Probably a combination of us being too negative and teams raising their game when we come to town but christ we'd love a nice win away.

Matt Smith is close to unplayable when there's good service into him, we brought Hayden in who is physically our strongest CB and with the best leap, but he just could not handle him. Just a monster in the air and physically you can't shift him.

You mean no Mansfield claimed the ball was over line? :ohm:I'm in shock.

The Thames or Trent?

Enjoy your San Miguels the YOTS is back on, as we both predicted.

Etuay to you too

Told you it was a guaranteed home win. Wasn't there in person, and I know you don't want the club to spend money on the bus stop, but sort that pitch out. You may be L1 bound but that pitch is NL standard at best. Horrific.

We had the same issue last week with Smith. I know he's almost 35, but surely a desperate L1 team should have taken a punt on him in January.

Harrogate looked a very decent passing side, can see why they're top of the form table. County created the most chances but if we can't make their keeper work for it we can't complain about lack of goals.

So Mardy Nige’s tantrum last week was all about mind gamesing the ref this week. Certainly worked, he gave us fuck all.

Unlucky to go in behind, but we were dogshit second half, never got near them. Very kind of the Radfords to let a farmer plant his turnips in their pitch, though I thought they might have waited until the season finished. It looked like something from the front line in Ukraine.

If you asked any side in the division, "would you like someone who'll get you thirty a season but doesn't really do it in the crunch matches" they'd snap your hand off.

Blimey, should have done em Tues. Isn’t it mainly cos they’ve played filth recently? Us, FGR, Doncaster, Grimsby?

You know what you’re right about our pitch - we only scored 1 against you with our turnips but scored 4 at your place.

Clearly missing a trick.

Cheers for the input though!!

The pitch got wrecked playing Wrexham in the FA Cup, for a televised game that would usually be postponed due to the conditions. Nowt we can do now until the summer.

That would have been an absolute zinger if I’d blamed the pitch for getting beat.

I’m still shocked by Jodi Jones lack of physical attributes today, if he weren’t playing footie I reckon you’d catch him knocking on doors selling Avon beauty products.

I’m not surprised by how good McGoldrick was mind, nor the great disappearing act of Langstaff.

Yet you were good, easy on the eye, the sort of side of sort the defence and you’ve a great chance.

I enjoyed watching you play and you should’ve been level by half time.

That jones was a right handful, though a tad predictable cutting in on the left all the time. He’d do better if he kept on his feet instead of diving all the time, which didn’t endear himself to the home fans.

Fuck knows what we were playing at switching Jones and Nemane’s sides for this. One constant this season has been their stream of goals/assists from wing back, so fuck it, obviously stick them both on the other side for the first time all season for no apparent reason. Like when we decided to change our goalkeeper for the first game, what are we doing!?!

We all said at half time we were worried that he’d be playing on the right cutting in he’d be brilliant yet for some reason you didn’t. very odd.

Appreciate its easy to say after winning but i get how following your lot is fun, you should’ve scored first half, but all you had to do is look at flint and realise why we’ve conceded 8 in 14 home games

I heard your gaffer on BBC Nottingham and I’m sure he said he did it to try and get him past our press.
