Surely, if you think he's useless you'd want him to stay with the Gas.

Bit like Corbyn
I don't think anyone but the most anti gas City fan would say he's 'useless'. His record at rovers is excellent so he's no mug. I would imagine the 'excellent' is in regards to the damage it will do to our neighbours.

Yorkshire Evening Post journalist saying he expects Leeds and Rovers to come to terms over DC. Excellent.
Interesting. I'll wait until I hear anything from Durden or the club first though

The sooner he leaves Rovers the better as far as I'm concerned, done/doing an excellent job.

Are you commenting that Swindoners have no brain or that it's a clear choice that they'd rather be Bristolian?

Errr................both?

Oops, already done, but the point still stands. My cousins are from Swindon, and they make Bristolians look like Mastermind contestants by comparison

Just because you and your family are a bunch of thickies, no need to tar everyone with your dunce brush CG! :)

FWIW, I'm 'from' Swindon but moved away early but given the choice there is no way I would choose to be from anywhere in the South West of England, that accent my ducks!! wooft!

Look at Gillingham trying to barge in on our fun. Like the kid at school that shits himself and nobody wants to sit next too!

Mr Stool (kind of appropriate really), I only said I had cousins from Swindon and they are in no way a true reflection of the intelligence of the rest of us.

I live in Camborne, but I was brought up in Kent fwiw, which means I am not 'blessed' with the Cornish accent me 'andsome..

By the way, they don't say me ducks down here, that is a Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire thing (who's the thickie now :fish:)

The outlying districts of Swindon are lovely, but there's no denying the town itself is an absolute shithole.

Swindon is a posh Luton

To be fair ID, you are right. My aunt and uncle live in Kingsdown which is OK.

DC signs his new three year deal to stay at Bristol Rovers!

Got to be honest, buzzing my tits off. The thought of him going was making me feel gutted. Don't get me wrong, this is just the start of serious interest in him and I'm sure he'll be moving up the pyramid sooner rather than later, but it's brilliant to keep the continuity and momentum into the league 1 campaign.

Good for you lot. Does it actually change anything though regarding Leeds, or any other club, apart from protecting the club IF he did go?

Well by signing a new deal he's effectively turned down Leeds.

But in theory, of course it doesn't change anything. But that's no different to any other manage in the country, you can't guarantee a manager staying.

That wasn't a criticism by the way, just a question. If nothing else, it gives both the club and the manager some form of security. Fair play for rebuffing Leeds, many clubs wouldn't have done that. Bigger fish will obviously covet DC in the future but you, as a club, are in a stronger position after today.

Shall we all insert our own large club banner to go beneath each of our posts, no I don't think so because it would be so very tinpot and annoying...

Think you've had it all your own way for too long Dan. I expect you'll be outnumbered on here soon. Bit like an Oxford v Swindon derby game!

You could be right.

At least the season ahead will be a bit more 'interesting'. Apart from being utter shite for most of the season it was so fucking dull.

To be fair, ID, BB and AS were vastly outnumbered by us City fans in our promotion season but they stuck at it! There was another one but I forget who it was.
