If you liked Making a Murderer you'll also enjoy The Staircase. You can get the whole series in a six hour block on YouTube. It's the most similar thing I know of out there.

The Dresser. A BBC version of the play about a great stage actor who is losing his sanity, and his dresser, who has to get him into the right frame of mind before he plays Lear.

I've seen the film version of this before so knew what to expect, and with McKellen and Hopkins you can't go wrong. What I wasn't expecting was how monumental a performance Hopkins gave as the great actor who is losing his powers and realises it, but is somehow going to give a great stage performance for the last time. Sometimes he looked fearsome, in full command - a hint at what he would have been like in his prime - and in total control in front of the cast; but when the door closes and he is alone or with McKellen's dresser, all the fears come to the fore, and he looks like a little lost child physically shrinking before our eyes.

I've heard what a great stage actor Hopkins could have been, and apparently his performance in Pravda at the National Theatre is up there with the very best performances of all time according to some acting greats who saw it; but he wanted to be a film actor which is fine, but I never saw anything as good as that from him in his film roles (particularly in the last 10 years when he has been hamming it up), even his best ones. It was astonishing.

It won't be everyone's cup of tea, but its worth a look out for those interested.

Another one, The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst. Six part series for HBO. An intriguing story and some genuinely jaw dropping moments.

I've been going back through the original Twilight Zone series as I've bought them on blu ray.

Absolutely loving it.

Didn't like Making A Murderer at first, I started watching it before everyone else started talking about it and found it boring but because everyone raved about it I gave it another go, and now I'm getting into it. This Brendan Dassey bloke is annoying me, I know he's thick but why does he confess to something he didn't do?!

I watched 'my boyfriend killed me' last night. It is a one off on BBC3, it is a very good watch in a dark kind of way. Pretty shocking how it escalates on.

Making a murderer is one of the most difficult programmes to have an opinion on I can ever remember. Only on episode 7, but I'm not closer to a solution in my mind than I was 5 episodes ago.

I've just watched Dave Gorman's Googlewhack Adventure. Haven't seen it in years. For those who don't know, a Googlewhack is two words that result in one hit when they are searched for on Google together. The show is his story about trying to form a chain of them by meeting the authors of the pages in which they sit.

A very funny show.

Thought I'd give Making a Murderer a go. Currently watching episode 2. It's quite shocking however I must say its narrative is completely biased. I'm interested to see how the story progresses.

I'm up to episode 7, I agree with the narrator, it's almost like they are wanting to create more of a conspiracy theory than the actual evidence shows. It's definetely an interesting watch though, well worth sticking through.
