We are well in this no doubt about it. Our last point was against Daggers and we don't have any easy games for a while.

Defending is beyond woeful, new manager said it's Sunday league standard

Just want to get it over with. Couldn't help looking at the table and seeing us 10 adrift with 25 points just makes me sad.

Sorry Daggers I can't see you getting out of it but good luck next season and a swift return.

York seemed to be by far the better team when we played them Friday but still didn't win so I think they are going too. I can't see them catching anyone but I sort of hope Notts County wind up in it but only because of what Izale McCleod did to us in the summer (refusing to play: insisting on moving to a "better" club). I know they are bigger than us etc but it was uncalled for and it did wind me up.

Bit of fight today and more football intelligence from the manager than has been seen for quite some time. York have a really tough run in. The games are just slipping away from then!

The problem doesn't seem to be a lack of fight as it sounds like we could have got something from the Plymouth game despite going 3 down...the problem is that we're defensively such a shambles we went 3-0 down in the first place. Our run in is indeed terrible (5 of the top 8 plus Morecambe and Hartlepool away) and we've shown nothing to suggest we'll get much change out of that lot. Can anyone see us getting the 8 points we'd need to get above Stevenage as it stands now? Not me, so it's goodnight from us.

Flinders inability to come off his line for a cross is leading to you losing too many goals ...Plymouth first goal one of many examples I've seen ...The defence end up unsure what to do ...I know I sound like a broken record , but go through the goals you've conceded and ask yourself could you be 7 or so points better off ....I'd say yes

Flinders seems to jump about like a drunk jack in the box these days,it's no wonder they've conceded so many.

I'd say no, because while Flinders looks bereft of confidence, understandably, he has also made a load of saves that have kept us in games. Last time I saw the statistics he'd made more saves than any other keeper in League 2. We can argue about what those stats mean, but having watched this lot far too much this season, Flinders is being constantly exposed by a non-existent midfield and an inexperienced defence. Even when we got beat 6-0 at Portsmouth he had a good game.
Sure he's made some mistakes, but for me Flinders is just about the least of our problems.

All over bar the shouting for York now. Both teams going with a whimper this year.

Think they were due to play Oxford.

Correct, the game was played a couple of weeks ago which we won 4-0. Appleton wanted to bring the game forward rather than us play catch up after the JPT final tomorrow.

I see ....I thought they'd resigned ! ....not that it will make much difference now , but it's not really an ideal time of the year to lose 3 games

We've been rubbish for 32 games ...different manager , same players and it's all rosy ....sometimes it is the manager and not the players faults

Usually it is always the managers fault. After all, it's he who recruits the sorry XI that trot out and fail to perform every week.

Anyway - hopefully we lose our next 3 and seal it away at Luton on Tuesday week. Sooner the better.
