Jeff kings wasn't a foul. We need consistency. They're either both reds or both good tackles.Be some red faces on here after viewing that.
Good tackle and not even a foul, just unfortunate he's been injured off it.

You're right Jacob, we don't agree.I doubt we’ll end up agreeing on this, but IMO the King one is different because he wins the ball but then his follow-through is high and he makes contact with the guy’s leg with his studs. To me, the Weymouth one looks like he wins the ball and his follow-through is completely normal and low with his studs down. That the less bad tackle caused serious injury is just the randomness of life, but obviously can understand why Chesterfield would be annoyed about how it’s fallen.
Think it’s going to be chesterfield fans vs everyone else on this one. You're right Jacob, we don't agree.
Isn't that the usual case on this forum?Think it’s going to be chesterfield fans vs everyone else on this one.
That would be a superb analysis if his primary role was to score goals.2 goals against Dead Aldershot for James McAtee. The man feasts out exclusively against the rubbish of the league tbf, you can't knock him. A goal is a goal.
Ah yes and you're not paying him a wage, apologies stand corrected.Mullin came on a free.
I think you'll fall short, purely because there's no more room at the inn. I'm struggling to see who from the teams above us is going to drop down and allow us back into the playoffs. As good as your form is right now, I just can't see a side 8 points off the pace getting a top 7 spot. Big match for you on Friday, anything other than a win and you're out of it.8 points behind play offs 17 to go. Our form does have to be amazing no doubt Grimsby at home Friday night, win and it will be 5 points behind for a short while atleast followed by Eastleigh we could run close
Would also like to state for the record that I was absolutely smashed last night so any attempted goading of Wrexham fans and/or overly lavish praise may have been as a result of that.

Boreham Wood were no great shakes yesterday.
Maybe they wanted out, but they certainly aren't my favourites for the title
Agreed. Teams can come off the pace to reach the play-offs in a normal season when 6th/7th is looking at being 65-70 points.I think you'll fall short, purely because there's no more room at the inn. I know you can't rate them on one game but even with their placing and games in hand I think they will fall short of the title.Taking any cup game, never mind the tinpot trophy to rate how good a side is not a clever thing. The league table doesn't lie. They have lost two games all season to Chesterfield and Solihull.
I certainly would have them down as favourites.
Hard to say really, Hearn was class but a completely different player. Technically, McAtee is streets ahead of Hearn but not as fast/dynamic. I don't think we've seen the best of McAtee yet, as I'm not convinced we're using him right. I think he'd be great at the tip of a diamond midfield behind a front two but Hurst would never go with that and we'd need an Efete type full back on the left to have any width.Obviously not seen much of McAtee this season so can only go off other fans opinions of him, but if he is better than peak Hearn he must be good.
JT said on the radio yesterday that he wasn't even having a good game by his standards, he just happened to score two goals.
Yeah, it's certainly a tall order but you've also got nothing to lose really, I think that could aid you well whereas the teams that have been in and around the playoff mix are probably gonna be taking part in some very cagey matches. What you lot can take from the last few months is a lot of encouraging signs for next season when I think you'll have a great shout at a playoff spot which would be great progress considering where you were at the start of the season. A second season playoff challenge is definitely not to be sniffed at. Took us until our 3rd season the first time round and you've only got to look at the likes of Lincoln, Stockport and Chesterfield to see that adapting at this level is by no means a given.Agreed. Teams can come off the pace to reach the play-offs in a normal season when 6th/7th is looking at being 65-70 points.
We're looking at 75 minimum to get in this season with 9 teams averaging 1.64 PPG or better. To get 75 points is 12 wins and a draw from 17 for Southend. I just can't see it.
Don't necessarily agree that we aren't good at the moment, we're massively improved post-horror slump and we're starting to get the rub of the green a bit more finally.Someone said to me the other day we would need to win 11 of our last 17 games just to match the rest of the play-off contenders on current form. Southend would need one hell of a run to get into the top 7 from where they started from. Yes they have done well over the last 10 games or so but the only decent side they have played is Bromley really.
See how they do when they still have to play 5 of the top 7 plus us (not that we are good at the mo.) and Notts, they also have the hardest run in of every side in the division looking at PPG of remaining opponents.
Teams in the play off places now will have bad patches there’s still more than a third of the season left the top 7 aren’t just going to start winning every game and no doubt people will face each other sides will drop points with so long to go. We’ve got everyone to play above us other than Bromley they will be massive for us and essential if we are to make it if we continued our current form (won’t happen) we’d make the play offs at a canter.I think you'll fall short, purely because there's no more room at the inn.
