Yeah, the word limit is more of a guide than a rule really, just to stop people from going crazy with it and writing a full on novel. I don't think anybody could withstand being dissed in a rap battle that much.

Wow! If that's how it's gonna be then....

We won the rap battle, but didn't ignore the rules or purposely break them. We were totally unaware.

In the spirit of fair play, and as a show of sportsmanship we (Well Mags and I as no one else was around at the time) decided it would be the right thing to do to split the prize money.

The rule was that well known and documented, that it appears even Oaf wasn't aware it was a rule.

Ultimately it's down to Oaf to decide if the rule is going to be enforced on this occasion, as I'm sure people will now be fully aware of it for future reference.

If it was against yourselves or any other team, we'd have done the same, as we don't want to create needless enemies at this point in the game.

It seems however you wouldn't have been as accepting. If anything, if the rule is enforced then Stagnificent should gain the whole 400k, as by the (little known) rules our rap went over the limit meaning and was split into paragraphs, so they should default win. I'm not sure how you come to the conclusion no one has a valid claim.

I just hope common sense and fair play prevails here.
