A lot of them think we're actually playing Everton and are quite excited about it. It's quite worrying...

2000 is a small crowd for us tbh. Will just be kids and families and my mate who is an Everton fan who thinks the tournament is good for some reason.

Taking my daughter as it's half term and no school tomorrow.

Hope Lincoln don't get to the final of this. Don't think Wembley would be big enough.

We're one of the very few (only?), English club never to have played at Wembley, old or new.

Man City U21s have taken 9 fans to Bradford tonight. You'd think there would be more in just family/friends of the players involved.

Well done Shaun Harvey again. Cock

I believe that you are not even the only club in Lincolnshire to not play at Wembley, never mind the club in L2 that awaits that dubious honour/pleasure....... or does this count?
Well, professional Club then. I'm sure there are thousands of others who haven't!

Give me strength. Does he know the average home attendance of Barcelona B, for example?

FWIW I can see why Spain and to a lesser extent, Germany have B teams in the lower leagues. The countries are way, way bigger than England and they do not have much of a lower league. In Spain, the leagues become regionalised at the third level, where they have four seperate leagues and at the fourth level there are like 12.

Also Germany, did not introduce a third division until recently. The seond teams literally make up the numbers.

Also, if I never checked this thread, you would not have known these games were played. Zero media coverage.

405 of our lot decided to go and support us at Notts. It's a shame but so many just don't seem to care and view this as a derby match that anyone would care about.

Each side making 10 changes says otherwise.

Bless the cripples.

We beat them even when we don't want to

I'd fancy a school team beating an XI with Hodge, Saunders and Pindroch in it tbf. Pretty obvious that neither team gives a shit about this, but one of us is going to have to go through haha.

It's horrible to say, but we made £100k from this last season....

I think hardy needs the money much, much, much more than radford did. Given were on BT and have £70k in the bank thanks to that, it'd be only right to allow one of the other clubs through.

Nice lad Hodge played a few times under Moyses and looked quite promising but hardly got in the squad under the Cowleys and spent out on loan, no surprise he was released.
Was shocked when you guys signed him.

Think we may have planned to have a go at this originally, but weren't expecting to be so good in the league. We played a much stronger team against Everton back in August than we did tonight, but think with a shot at promotion we've decided we're not interested.

Would be generous to call that line up tonight a second string, even. If we play the same against Lincoln then we're trying to get knocked out pretty much.

Definitely a weird one, presumably just making up the numbers and on absolute peanuts. Is only getting a sniff of the match day squad in this thing.

Wasn’t Jose Baxter an absolute animal if you could get him on loan on either FM 09 or 10?

He was a more polished Waide Fairhurst!

Absolutely mad that Mansfield made ten changes and still had Mellis, Benning, Anderson, Angol, Spencer, Bennett, Digby etc starting. That is some squad.

Yup that's why they were the bookies favourite at the start of the season. Many will be envious of that playing squad , great depth

Agreed, it’s why our standard of performances in the league has been unacceptable so far.

Bennett, Mellis, Angol and Benning should be starting most league games imo.

Not entirely sure how true this is, but apparently Everton's U21 side cost £32m last night. They brought a £4m winger off the bench!

Think we made 6 changes from the weekend.
