Unacceptable - though there is lots of time left in the season

How does this work? With us making 10 changes do so many of them have to start the next game? Or is it just in the squad?

I don't know any more. I think they may have changed it to players who've appeared in a certain % of games, so Jones and Milsom would count for us despite not having played on Saturday.

Here you go...

Player Eligibility
For EFL Clubs:
  • A Club can play any goalkeeper in the competition;
  • · The revised requirement of Rule 7.3 – ‘4 qualifying outfield Players from 10’.

A qualifying outfield Player would be:
Any Player that meets the current criteria (excluding Goalkeepers), includes those who:
  • Have started the previous or following first team fixture;
  • Are in the top 10 players at the club for starting appearances in league and domestic cup competitions for season;
  • Have made 40 or more first team appearances in their career;
  • Are on loan from either a Premier League or Category 1 Academy Club.

Haha, that's basically everyone now then. Was a stupid rule anyway.

I wonder if they have someone at the FA who goes through all the squad lists to check

Well done to the likes of Bradford who made subs after 2 minutes last season to highlight it!

We beat Chelsea last night.

I should leave it at that but a 1-1 draw and 5-3 to us on pens means we only need a draw in the last game to progress :blush: Attendance was 1896

Technically it wasn't a win, you just got an extra point for the penalty win.
I would wish you to beat Argyle in the last game so we might still qualify but I really don't want us to progress so you can do what you like

But it sounds better.

At last we've actually had a winning draw. That's what DW has described most of our draws as this season...

I will be really disappointed if more than 500 turn up for our game against Abertawe yoof...but buoyed by recent success I am fearful that there will be even more who just cannot resist seeing the Green in action again. I will spend the evening washing my hair and watching catch up tv.

Well done Greenacres. I see you Rovers lot have seen the light even though this is your first season as a FL club. Now if we can only get the message to those Lincoln 'bandwagoners'.

29 tickets at Swindon sold :lol: We're 8 players missing through injury so 43 year old Ainsworth names himself as a sub,please Swindon knock us out of this crap cup but don't injure any of our players,i'd be more interested in trimming my nasal hair than looking for this result.

11 changes tonight against Everton.

I’m going to be honest and I’ll admit I am in attendance, my street was swarming with kids doing some American thingy knocking on my door, and £10 to get out for the night seemed like good value for money.

I apologise sincerely obviously, I’m acting like a fake Lincoln fan.

I might move in to Mansfield because apperantly shitholes don’t get as many trick or treaters!!

1236 in attendance this evening - the lowest ever for a competitive game at the CG.

Luton can lose their penalty shootout and be guaranteed qualification if they concede in the next 15 mins.

In fact, unless AFCW score twice, Barnet v Tottenham U23 in a few weeks time is completely pointless.

964 at the One Call Stadium at Field Mill, 36 Everton fans.

Nice to keep it at three figures.

Yesterday we made 10 changes from our starting XI v Coventry, yet the team still had a first XI look about it. Its vital for us that we can use these games to give players match practice. Almost every player yesterday could find themselves in the first team at any time and I'd rather they gain match fitness and sharpness in competitive games than rely on just training or the odd 5-10 minutes as a tactical sub. From that perspective it was far from pointless. We do however have a fairly large squad. You could argue that for clubs that have smaller squads, for example Wycombe (as mentioned above), then it could be a game they could do without.
I expect us to make changes on Saturday too but nothing that will affect the quality of the team.
I thought last seasons competition proved to be a success in terms of developing some of our younger players, although we did openly break the rules.

Momentum developing to see us get a higher attendance for our Youth Cup tie with them up the road than the Trophy match and to see if we can manage fewer U's fans at the Abbey than travelling scum on 7/11. Pity they can't be on the same night. C'mon Posh...

bteamboycott.jpg

Official attendance at our proper competitive derby last night was 612, as we knocked Posh out of the Youth Cup 2-1 in extra time - completing the triple for the season. It was probably a bit higher as I was not the only one who couldn't find anyone to give my money to as I wandered in.

Fuck's sake Lincoln, hopeless cause with you lot, stop bloody going.

I think we need to be careful about casting stones in our Cambs Glass greenhouse. I'm hoping that Posh fans (750 tickets sold already) might outnumber us next week but a lot of rowdier elements in the travelling Amber Army seemed to be looking forward to the chance of meeting old friends on Tuesday.

Hope it goes off relatively peacefully, we somehow win against 9 men but go out anyway.
