Yeah but it’s in Cardiff.

Wembley wins.
Millennium location in relation to the pubs is fantastic. Streets filled with over 42k Owls fans back in 2005, beats Wembley for a day out.
I would have Millennium for playoff finals and keep Wembley for England games and Cup Finals.
Nowadays everybody and their dog has been to Wembley, doesn't quite have the special occasion feel anymore imo.

Annoys me when people say they should move the playoff final to a normal league ground.

This isn't necessarily about the fans, even though most would believe it is. It's the chance for professional footballers lower down the pyramid to get a chance to play at the national stadium where the vast majority of lower league footballers will never get a chance to play at. Playing at Wembley is often the pinnacle of a lower league footballers career.

And for the record, Cardiff is a far better city than our cesspit capital in its financial bubble, but I'd still keep all the finals at Wembley because at the end of the day, it's what the professionals deserve.

We played there in 04 against Huddersfield, so I’m not saying any of this without actually visiting the place.

Agree r.e. Cardiff.

As a day out, it was much better with pubs etc right outside the Stadium.

I was at the Wednesday vs Hartlepool final, superb day out, shaking legend Waddle’s hand outside a pub pre game, incredible noise inside the stadium, great weather all day , good fun in the city centre pubs after the game bouncing with the Wednesday lot but it’s no fun getting to Cardiff at all especially end of May. London, easy transport link from Nottingham, have a free place to stay in the capital every time I visit and can make a full weekend of it unlike no other UK city.

Are Exeter City FC the only business in the country that offers an employee a new contract after forcing them to work their notice period?

Turns out you can take 40,000 to Wembley and still be the most tinpot club in the league, who knew?

A big refereeing decision going Coventry’s way in these play-offs?

That's basically assault by Doyle, clenches his fist and thumps him. Shocking miss from the referee looking right through it.

I expected so much more from this match. Seems to me both sides are afraid of being caught on the counter so they'll keeping it VERY tight.

Well, even if laziness was the sole reason behind me not going, it looks to have been a good decision on my part.

Shame because although the semis are more often entertaining, last year's L2 final was quite good by all accounts.

That is some goal to come from a defender.

We truly do live in an unjust world, don’t we?

One of those weird things you get in football these play-offs have been where Coventry’s name has just been on it from the start.

Back-to-back final defeats on the way, christ. That's cruel.

Are they showing this live at that festival in Coventry?

Surely you wrote that with at least a grin on your face. This is Coventry City FC moving up from L2 to L1 , or in old money 4th to 3rd tier. Boy if a club’s fan base needs some success it’s the sky blue army surley?

Not a great bank holiday for Exeter sporting teams. And back to back years to boot . Double ouch

Exeter are still in it, they sure do seem to score loads of late goals.

Almost as many as the Pies ;)

ps - or it's really going to be the 4-1 that DickHead predicted before he was banned:ffs:

A small grin. ;)

As much as Coventry have had a couple of huge slices of luck, Exeter have been pretty dreadful to be honest. Too negative and not committed any numbers forward at all, look like they’re half asleep.

I missed both goals after thinking it had extra time written over it already, but I suppose Coventry scoring still doesn't necessarily make it a great game.
