Telford will be tough. Got some very good players there this season.
AFC Telford 0-1 Alfreton

Test passed with flying colours! An outstanding shift from everyone in an Alfreton shirt.
I am keeping my feet firmly on the ground. However we have a very very solid defence. We are perhaps missing that killer instinct and cutting edge up front but its by far the best team we have had since our first season back at this level in 2015/16. Should have been more comfortable too had the penalty stood and had Dom Smith not been flagged offside when there was about 3 playing him on!

Another huge test of our credentials on Tuesday night. Can we be the first team to take points off AFC Fylde?

Our record away at Curzon Ashton has been horrible for the most part. But a very commanding performance and 3-0 win today. Should have perhaps added a couple more goals too. Campbell being back fit is a huge plus. Great to see Maguire coming off the bench second half to make his first appearance, and with Hatfield still to come back from a hamstring strain we can still get stronger. Also a very positive debut for Enrico Sousa.

Now let's see what Borris is going to do now. Will we be playing Swindon on Saturday?

Typical the amount of times been to Curzon and we've been poor. Indeed impressive and very efficient performance from the lads, without getting to greedy probably should have been more. This squad now Alun has assembled is very much capable of better things to come. Happy days and hopefully many more to come, as you say we will get stronger.

In Boris we trust as they say! Will our season come to an abrupt stop? Speaking of Swindon they came from behind today and beat inform Hull 2-1.

I have a similar record away at Brackley. The only game I've missed there over 4 seasons was our 4-2 win. :lac:

Will be very tough away at Swindon, but in essence its a free hit for us. Biggest shame is no fans, think we would have taken 1000+ down there, made it a good atmosphere like at Walsall last year. Hopefully Hatfield will be fit enough to play give us a bit more bite and quality in CM.

Next league game will be tough v Boston who look like they've picked up where they left off last season, but after that a run of 5 of 5 very winnable games. Hopefully we can start a little streak that will get us up the league.

I think DSL will be slightly disappointed after scoring in injury time only for the goal to be ruled out.

That is typically unlucky :ffs: I wouldn't care that's probably the only game I've seen Ainge have an excellent match in a Darlo shirt, leaping, passing and running. Ainge and Styche we're on fire that day. Brackley were shell-shocked in that 1st half.

Yeah in all honesty i think it will be a tough match, but then again they are there for the taking with Swindon not in great form with another 4-2 defeat tonight and a player sent off. Yeah deffo no fans is not good, easily would have took 1,000 + Walsall was unreal! I'm glad he rested Hatfield for another week, not sure whether he was ready for Curzon? Without a doubt we need him back.

I think Boston will be tough who look strong, but hopefully we'll give them a good game. It'll be a good test for us to see how good we are after our convincing win against Curzon.

Why couldnt you watch the game? Streaming was available.

Anyway a great advert for the National North last night. AFC Fylde are a very good side and will take a damn good team to beat them to the title. We defended excellently all night I thought amid a real test of our credentials. We restricted the coasters to few chances and it only a moment of real quality that broke the deadlock. We brought Nicky Walker on at half time who was terrific and we posed more of a threat in the second half. Our hard work was rewarded when Elliott Reeves turned home after Walkers shot had been saved. Certain red card for an awful tackle on Dan Bradley from Sampson. Wonder if there was malice in that due to Dan`s less than friendly social media comments.
AFC Fylde continued to threaten but I thought a draw was a fair result. Two good times going toe to toe I thought.
Delighted with our start. Just need to make sure we come away with the win from Bradford now on Saturday

I have very low expectations for the Bradford stream tomorrow. We havent won there since 2005. So a win now would be really timely and really solidify our strong start

OK, I've seen enough to know that Darlington will win the league this season, we're just getting warmed up.

So long as we keep Luke Charman, and Nicky Hunt, Will Hatfield and Tony McMahon play plenty of matches. No other club in this league can possibly have any players approaching the quality of these players.

It's ours for the taking me think :woo:And let's not forget our little goal machine Adam Campbell. The missing pieces are now beginning to fall into place with this squad.

Typical fare at Bradford Park Avenue yesterday. Dominated but just one of those days in front of goal. Our lack of potency up top is a concern as one just one or two lapses at the back proved costly.
Moving on to Tuesday as we host Brackley Town. Never beaten them at home. It would be a good time to capitalise on their slow start in their league. I predict another draw though...

You should be ashamed getting beat by them. They shouldn't even be in this league.

Yes Chorley have played them away, the stream was ok, dont begrudge the tenner in these difficult times. The commentary was average at best but to be fair they were stand ins and did their best but like most at thus level leaned heavily toward the home side. The game wasnt great and we were crap.

Harriers sadly lost a legend on Saturday, Brian Murdoch who kept home and away fans full with his famous pies for nearly 60 years.

Rip Brian you'll be missed

Just saw this on Twitter. One of the few highlights of non league was the food at Aggborough. I remember leaving our second playoff final defeat and consoling my dad with “at least we can go back to Kidderminster and have a pie!” which gave us a small crumb of consolation.

RIP Brian.

2 tough games for us this week against spennymoor and Boston. Not sure if our start has been a bit misleading. I’ll find out this week

One camera, no replays. Had problems with the stream initially when we played Hereford (crap provider and 2000 people trying to watch it, ended up streaming the second half for free on YouTube and got a bollocking of the National League for doing so), I think we switched provider after that and seems to have been running fine since. It doesn't seem to work on Apple products for some reason, but if you're on a PC / laptop it should be fine. £10 is our normal price for it too.
