TBF our keeper did make some good saves .

We just missed the goal completely!

Cannot fault our performances at all, we look genuinely very good at times, but I can't explain the lack of goals at all. Surely got to be more than being unlucky

Our start has been a bit similar to yours at Preston, just not quite clicked in the final third but been strong defensively, have created a lot of clear cut chances and played very well overall. The signings of Broadhead and Fletcher and return to fitness of Aasgaard has helped a lot offensively.

From our opening day I noticed the ball tended to fall to the hopeless Parrott on th rather than Riis, to be fair most of it dropped on acute angles, those shots were never going to trouble the keeper, but having seen Parrott a fair bit in League One he didn't have the goal scorer instinct, so expected him to remain in League One. I am sure if you get the ball to Riis and other players more, the goals will soon flow for Preston, I expect you to be closer to the play offs than bottom for sure.

As for yesterday, absolute karma with that pathetic dive to send Bennett off. Well taken goal and we had the most dangerous chances after playing 89 minutes in total with 10 men. Great character from our team and a fair bit of quality in the squad in the right parts of the pitch. Much more sensibly assembled squad than our previous 2 promotions were we had weaker back up and panic bought players to full spaces. Slow recruitment this season, making sure we only add players to improve us and not upset the squad balance.

Parrott is a very good player but yeah, the instincts aren't there. Needs to smash it rather than going for placement. Hopefully we sign another starting striker and we can play him as a number 10.

Riis' overall play is pretty poor but he's a goalscorer, he needs to play every minute for me.

You, Rotherham, and Sunderland look solid. Don't think any of you will drop.

I’m not really sure what he is on about, it was a blatant red card tackle from Sykes, Freeman shouldn’t react (understandable that he did as he did get scissor tackled basically) but he didn’t head butt him or anything like Sykes tried to imply by going down holding his head, kind of chest bumped him. Yellow was fair for Freeman imo, thought the ref handled it well.

Freeman and the other guy between them caught Sykes 2-3 times in the face when tackling him, either one could easily have been booked for that.

Sykes tackle was a red, but combine the previous tackle and the reaction and Freeman should have gone too.

This was a couple of days after we had a strong penalty shout not given at Wigan and one of their players kicked out and didn't get sent off, against Hull we had 2 strong penalty shouts, including one where Atkinson was pulled to the ground with one arm around his neck, and a joke penalty given against.

There's a whole study been done on penalties using 600 clubs across Europe and Bristol City were *miles* away from anyone else on every metric.

Over 1800 minutes played per penalty, most clubs were in the 300-600 range.

Over 90 big chances created per penalty, 600th out of 600, Birmingham in 591st were 58 big chances per penalty.

The data used ended in January, and we've not had one in any of the time since despite some huge claims including one where a player had his nose broken.

Something like 1 in 88 games now.

Pearson was absolutely vindicated in his comments after the Luton game.

Of course it's not something like a conspiracy, but we've been on the wrong end of bad decisions so consistently and so often that it's clearly going to get to the manager.

First part is a bit moot as the “catches to the face” were not deemed fouls by the ref so don’t factor at all into the equation of if it were a yellow or not. Personally didn’t see anything like that but I’ve not looked back since watching the highlights. On the basis of the incident I think the outcome was correct in the end albeit we both will probably have our differing biases clearly

Stats about penalties are interesting there has to be a reason for that, maybe the types of chances being created might be an interesting factor there.

As for us, as long we keep Broadhead fit, we'll stay up. He got one sniff of a chance Saturday and ruthlessly took it. Done more in about 20 minutes than Lang has all season so far.

Birmingham were proper shit. Be surprised if we play anyone worse than them.

Did sould like a bleat......'poor us we never get pens'. Everyone thinks they dont get their share. When you dont theres a reason. My initial reason ( i was surpised to see youd scored so many tbf) might have been off but if you do a deep dive - which i def cant be arsed - you will find a reason even if its just 'short term' variance. .......*short term can statistically be years.

But its more likely something along the lines of your style of play doesnt offer the chance to win them ....eg you dont attack or dribble into the box ball with player awhich is a huge % of pens id guess.

Broadhead was great for Sunderland last season and i would have happily had him back. Main problem are injuries for the lad. Was out a lot for us. Keep him fit for the season and you will be a lot better for it. All 3 of us promoted lot doing well at present.

Thought we were excellent tonight and had the better of the chances overall. Undone by a bit of quality by Sheff Utd for the equaliser, other than that I didn’t feel like they gave us that much trouble. Does feel like we’ve been punished inordinately for the chances we have given up this season so far compared to what we have created which is a little frustrating but will hopefully even out.

Felt Clark was MotM tonight and Adebayo looked somewhat sharper than previous games which is a good sign for us. Not unhappy with a 1-1 really.

Sheff United looked decent with a couple of players like Berge and N’diaye who are clearly above the level, will certainly be there or thereabouts come season end I feel

Clark was outstanding. I like that vibrant central midfield with good backup in Luke, who we all love and Pelly, who most of us do ;-)

Eli def looked more mobile but strangely there were several offensive headers he didnt attack like he did the defensive ones. Felt he could have really got on the end of one. Needs a goal I think. Plus needs to get to grips with the new rules allowing more fight tugging etc and turn defenders rather than going to ground or stopping when he feels a touch. Morris a real handful and drops off all over the place. Lockyer great today too in the middle allowing Burke to push on and give us that added front foot player we lost in Naismith.

Just seen the amount of players that Sheff Utd are missing, pretty crazy squad, I think they'll get autos this season. The three coming down don't look very strong at all.

Thought last nights game was a great advert for Championship football. The pace of the game was non stop at times especially in the first 30 minutes.

Thought a draw was just about a fair result, but clearly the Sheffield Utd keeper(s) were the busier. If Jerome stuck that in the top corner, I don’t think they could have complained too much.

At the end SU had a strike force they paid £40M for. McBurnie spent more time on the floor than on his feet.

Carlton Morris putting in a performance that proves why Luton broke their transfer record to sign. He was everywhere… as was Allan Campbell last night.

Only have 6 points from 6 games, but we’re going to be absolutely fine.

Played ok in patches but we were awful defensively!

VAR would have been busy today .

Both full backs were poor and Kabasele certainly wasn’t a leader .

Pedro best player again - I hope he was just injured rather than anything else when storming off straight at full time
