Didn't the Mags get over 50k on occasions in their last stint down in the 2nd?

Classical away performance for Luton last night. Didn't think we were at our fluid best, especially second half where they didn't need to make the running, but I don't think there was any doubt we'd win that. Perhaps Luton will be disappointed they didn't win by more than 2 goals.

Hull really do have problems and will get relegated unless something significantly changes in the next few months. They look like they are handy going forward, but defensively a total mess.

Back up to 5th in the table again, despite being decidely average first 11 games...

Yeah but only when they were close to promotion. But it’s still fabulous from them. Can’t knock their support tbh.

You could tell we had no strikers. We were unlucky but i must admit i wad shocked at Preston timewasting from an early stage. They had the odd chance but i can see why they don’t score or concede.

That was a strong 2nd half.

Need to keep performing as such

Helps having key players back or in their right position

Gino will probably expect that each week .

Lowe wasn't backed in the summer but the man is an absolute liar in terms of the style he promised. Playing for 0-0s most weeks.

Really promising when he first came, now he's killing any enthusiasm for PNE. He doesn't have the personnel to play his preferred system, yet he does it anyway.

A bit of twatford asset stripping to maintain Udinese charge up the Italian league would be appreciated
Thank you in advance

I am sure you’ll be much better than Stoke were when we meet that is for sure .

Hamburg will be doing it in the Bundesliga 2. Them being stuck in that league for so long is mental, the equivalent of Everton getting relegated and not being able to get out of the Championship. Other than them though, Sunderland will be out on their own.

Sincerely hoping neither Stewart or Simms are available for our visit in a fortnight.

Think you’ll be shooting up toward the top of the table now with Bilic in charge. No doubt the individual quality is there just if someone can build a unit out of it and think he probably can. The kid Asprilla looks some player for 18.

You’ll be back down here the following the season though because until the Pozzos put in a proper foundation you’ll have enough quality to get out of this league but not the structural stability to maintain at the next.

Goals galore at Luton !

Last year Huddersfield were well known for their defensive solidity .

Not so good this season .

Bit of a unfortunate ending to the Cardiff v Blackburn game .

Cardiff goalie fouls a Blackburn attacker but then they score but the ref had blown quite quickly to give the penalty so obviously cannot give the goal then Hirst misses from the spot .

Extremely frustrating night because we should have won the game. Caused our own issues in defending set pieces but other than that totally controlled the game I felt. Really annoying as although set pieces from Thomas were good, it really felt like unforced errors from us than anything else.

That aside thought we were what we are all about. Aggressive and dominant, really should have won that.

Another home game recently where we come away thinking, how the hell haven’t we won that. If we did the basics right in some games this season, we’d be easily in those play offs.

That said, there are positives and I think we’re moving in the right direction. Adebayo getting two was definitely a real takeaway and both goals had some real quality about them.

We aren’t getting a lot of luck at the moment either - you could argue we got a bit of that on Friday, but felt the penalty decision was really harsh. Carlton Morris is also getting nothing out of the officials at the moment either.

was i the only one hoping that PRM would stay on the bench unless we had a 5-0 lead going into the last quarter?
definitely not ready to impact a game after his injury...
NJ must be held to blame for another brain fuck of a substitution...

Long time - including watching the Prem on the box - since ive seen such cracking corner deliveries. Sorba Thomas. We just couldnt live with them. All three goals ffs. Without that they get spanked.

Silver lining. Eli back where he was at last. We will score a lot of goals with him and Morris and we will start to get the points on board. Big month. Especially the end of it.

A win is needed tonight, everyone getting very tetchy. This fucking daft run of no goals has to end eventually.

I'd like to see Mikey O'Neill get a start, playing behind Riis. Woodburn involved too.

We were good in the opening 30 minutes, should have comfortably been 3-0 up. Nicely taken goal by Riis though.

Second half we sat back and just invited the pressure, risky game but it's clearly our style now. Pretty comfortable bar a couple of lapses, but then Woodman showed why he's the best keeper in the league.

Liam Lindsay's 6 yard box defending is ridiculous, he deals with everything. This system was made for him.

Alvaro Fernandez is top drawer, levels above the rest of our team.

Back down to earth then !

Rubbish defending
More injuries
No shots when losing in 17 minutes of injury time

Not looking like a promotion pushing squad .

Worst performance of the season last night against Hull. The Championship in a nutshell really. You think you're finally gaining momentum, then bottom of the form table beats you comfortably.

Since the start of last season we're unbeaten when playing immediately after losing in the league. I think it's lost ten, then won eight and drawn two of our following games. So bodes well for Saturday...

Norwich away on Saturday, obviously just happy to avoid a defeat. I'd take another 0-0, to get our 10th clean sheet of the season.

Think last team's lineup is the formula we should stick with, assuming everyone is fresh. Norwich have had an extra day's recovery.

I really dislike this Tues/Wed split of fixtures. Purely for those pieces of shit, Sky Sports. No lower league fan should give them a penny.

Woodman
Storey, Lindsay, Cunningham
Browne, Whiteman, McCann, Fernandez
Brady
Riis, Maguire

To be fair, it was a big improvement from our recent form. Wigan were dreadful though, long balls and little else.

Blackpool tomorrow with about 2 fit defenders and no right backs.

They ought to fancy their chances...

We are up at West Brom on Saturday who seem to be sticking with Bruce at least for the moment, given our last away game Hull sacked their coach on the same day that’s all subject to change still! Crazy league!

It’s an interesting one as if you look at xG tables and things through that analytical lens then we would actually be 1st and 2nd respectfully! Obvious pinches of salt and caveats apply but for me it does feel we have rather shot our selves in the foot on a few occasions this season and should have more points than we do and perhaps the same can be said of WBA. Certainly when I’ve seen them on the box this season they have looked a good side and been unfortunate both times.

Yep, we really should be higher in the league. We’ve thrown away 11 points from winning positions - more than anyone in the league. I still can’t believe some of the positions we’ve thrown away at home especially. Tuesday night being a prime example.

We’ve got a tough six games coming up, but seemingly we play better against the better teams it looks.

I suppose by getting in those positions we’re doing something right and our luck will turn a bit eventually. Defensively we need to sharpen up, which isn’t surprising when Bradley has been off for personal reasons, Naismith not replaced and Burke constantly pulling his hamstrings.

Jones is moaning about the schedule (again). I know the World Cup is coming up in November, but this season doesn’t feel much different than others. We’ve just had a 2 week international break! He is becoming exceedingly whiny recently.
