Stockport County.
I thought Stockport were too cautious, if they had attacked us more they would have won easily. Saying that Stags battled very well and never gave up.
Stockport should easily make the play offs when their injuries clear up.
We couldn't mix it up with people off the bench, that's why it may have appeared cautious. And I do think we were fearful of you that you could hit us on the break. You have some good players out there. Gregory, Evans, Bowery, Akins. These are not mugs going forward at all.

It's a good point for both sides.

You're hurting tonight mate, we can see that. First team with a pulse of the season and you've come up short. Still top and a long way to go.
I think Birmingham are top now sadly so not even got solace in that.

EDIT: You're right. We are top.

I spotted Cloughie and Challinor having a chat after the game, I highly rate the latter and I’m sure he looks up to Big Nige.

Bowery? He came on to slot in at centre back mate

Everyone around us was utterly bemused when you brought on a #9 and he played as a striker? Clearly that injury crisis pales in comparison.

They got on well at E.P last season. Challinor has no aggro with any opposing manager. He never gets involved at all. In fact it's a minor gripe how little he gets involved with having a word with refs etc.

Don't know how Olaofe's missed that one at the end at all.

We controlled Peterborough on their own patch today, literally not a shot on our goal. League on notice for Parky's terrorist football.

Not seeing too much quality at this level so far but I'm sure it's out there, we cannot be allowed into the Championship yet. We don't even have a training ground.

Peterborough are capable of that, or completely blowing you away, perks and cons of a very young side.

Poor performance from us today, after being unlucky in the first 3 games against 3 stronger sides, today showed we're likely to be in trouble, we're not dangerous enough in front of goal and missing a central midfield player to dictate a game in the way Wellens likes to play, we just didn't look like we was comfortable once we fell behind.

All our subs made very little impact, which has been a common theme from our squad this season in the attacking areas especially.

Usually I'd say we've got an injury or two here and there, but thats really not the case, apart from Jordan Graham who is a big miss, all our attacking and midfield options are fit and don't look like they're up to the job.

Wellens has worked a few miracles with us in the last two seasons, he's got a big job on his hands now with what we have avaliable to us in the attacking third, goals were a problem for us last season, even more so this.
Sums up the Orient perspective well there. First half you knocked the ball around quite well but with the exception of Ageyi cutting in himself and hitting the bar created almost nothing.

2nd half for the first 20 minutes we took over and created a few chances. O'Reilly had a good effort saved and Castledine almost had another. Bloxham came on and tool his goals well.

Notable mentions to Lloyd and Gillead who both played well.

The Orient keeper looked absolutely gutted at the end of the game in front of the South Stand. Not much he could do about the goals

Thanks Masi, you didn't look the same team as in previous seasons.
Though that was a well disciplined performance, the team is starting to gel and we still have a couple of new signings to slot in.
Hopefully should be enough for mid table this season.

reading the Peterborough forum, never heard such levels of delusion/ lunacy.

Another win for Wrexham, another set of fans saying we’re ‘shit’ despite not managing a single shot on target.

It’s been a great start for us, coming through some tough games in Bolton and Peterborough away with 4 points.

No matter what though, you can always count on Stockport being one step ahead of us.

More things change the more they stay the same.

I liked the phrase "agricultural dinosaurs" also the bloke who put a tenner on us to get relegated when they were two nil down.

We've heard all this for two years, it's water of a ducks back now. Massive amount of cope.

Bristol Rovers first goal yesterday is absolutely mental - look at the space the goal scorer wanders into. Crazy.

Always a good battle with Stockport and yesterday was no different, think we were good enough for a point. They’ll be in the hunt for the play offs no doubt.

They were fortunate to get a win last week. They aren't great, certainly not promotion candidates at the moment IMHO

Yeah they’ll do well, some very good players on show yesterday, but were no mugs at home and were full value for the point, though had anyone won it should’ve been stockport.

As has been said in stagsnet i think given the last week a few sides/managers would’ve caved yesterday, but we did nothing of the sort.

The international break is very, very needed.

Beat the tics 2-1

Went 1-0 up and should have pressed for a second but we were comfortable, wigan stepped up the press and our keeper made a howler, Wigan masters of the dark arts, time wasted and shit housed well so cannot knock them for that.

9 mins of added time was just for that, fair play to the ref, 91st min winner, unreal limbs, another 3 points and we have not clicked still.

Clough is good at what he does. I have no doubt he'll keep you up, you worked really hard today and you've got a decent shape about you.

People on our forum saying Cloughie looks close to a breakdown in the post match and that he's going to do a Paul Simpson are wide of the mark. Today is a good point for both sides and should be treated as such.

Clough is a master at using a siege mentality for the benefits of results, the fact we were unable to play our usual formation Saturday and we lost over 40 goal contributions on deadline day is enough for him to do that.

Look at last season, Wimbledon away was a game that we were going to win but instead lost due to the officials, I knew we were going up after that with Big Nige.

I was looking around to see if Moses was there parting the Cambridge defence.

Their CB O'Riordan was terrible

We’re creating quite a few chances but our defending is diabolical, whether we play three or four at the back - the players are not coping with the change in approach from banging it long to playing it out, and the lack of any fit senior strikers besides Lavery means that the direct approach is pretty pointless anyway.

I can see why Monk has changed things - we were totally uncreative last season, only scoring 38, so something had to change about the way we play.

Hopefully we have Gardiner, Loft and Nlondulu fit when we are back from the two week break, plus that time allows us to get more comfortable on the ball.

If not then I agree, we will be in real trouble…

Another great quote from Peterborough fans

"I thought Wrexham were a bit like a non-league team playing us in a Cup match"

I know we've been away a long time but have Peterborough been this big headed for a while? Is this because of a handful of yo yo seasons in the Championship? Peterborough! They weren't even a league team until the 60s.

You reminded me of England at their worst under Southgate playing out the back and gifting chances at times.

I don’t remember, until the final 5/10 minutes where suddenly you looked unplayable, you creating any real chances though? My mind is pretty foggy mind.

who the hell chooses the TV games? If I remember rightly, each team is supposed to get on telly X number of times per season, so perhaps they just randomly work it around that, but even so...can't imagine either of those games being box office (even by the low standards of this division).

You'd think Posh v Wrexham would have been a way better choice given the Darren Ferguson factor, but probably Sky don't even think about it that much, they're literally just plugging gaps in their schedule.

Anyway.

Richard Keogh's Blackpool (as they're never called) next up for us.

Keogh had two short spells for us, once when he was on his way up as a player at the beginning of his career (on loan from Brizl City), and one when he was well into the "decline" period - he lasted half a season then we palmed him off to the relegation-bound FGR, so perhaps not that surprising he hung up his boots soon after.

Given that his spell didn't end the best with us (it can't be good for your ego to be shunted out after half a season) then maybe there's some extra spice there on Keogh's side, who knows, but he'll obviously want to win every game regardless of who it's against, to give himself the best chance of getting the job on a full time basis.

And Blackpool have had a frankly gash start to the season, with even less points than us on the board (1), so very much all to play for.

On our side we seem to have racked up a stupid amount of injuries already, with a good 6 or 7 established first-teamers out, but our strength in depth is OK, so no excuses.

Let's hope BFC's defence continues to be as shite as it has been, given they've shipped a deeply unimpressive average of 3 goals per game already.
Honestly I think the new deal from Sky has been a complete fail. The 12:30 fixtures are like made from toddlers. They just chuck any random game on Sky and go "Yeah that'll do. All games should be on a Saturday 3pm Kick off not like Friday, Sunday or even Monday night fixtures.

Not a totally surprising result looking at the six ex-Rochdale players involved. All six are useful players, but the Wrexham trio of O'Connell, Cannon and Rathbone are older and played for Dale in League One. Of the Posh trio, Odoh played in L2, Nevett and Hayes in the National League last season, all three being inexperienced youngsters in comparison.
