Bollox.

That's all, just Bollox!

Thought Carlisle had caught a right Kipper with Slade.
Good news for us, but your disappointment is shared by Carlisle's independent baseball hat boutique. I hear the owner had already bought himself a Ferrari.

Neil Redfearn interviewed yesterday

I don’t know whether he’ll Get the job but he fits the profile more, with a background of developing good young players at Leeds and giving them a chance in the first team.

We’ll see.

Currently managing Doncaster Belles, be interesting to see if his experience in a different kind of football has provided him with some new insights that can transfer over. Might be a similar situation to if you had a manager who'd had some experience managing on the continent, or in South America.. or might not, interesting questions to ask at least.

Sol Campbell has accused Carlisle of racism for not giving him the job...........

Even though he hasn’t applied for it.

We gave Keith Curle the last job, so Campbell can fuck off.

What more does he want us to do?

Isn't her name not usually mentioned? Is not her name not...?

I'm sure John Nixon would absolutely love to bask in the media attention he would get if he decided to appoint a black female manager. You certainly couldn't accuse us of not entertaining ideas out of left-field, though usually it's mainly so Nixon can present himself as a moderniser and it doesn't seem to extend to how the club actually conducts itself.

Curzon Ashton....and Carlisle
Since we've made a right royal mess of this, offered job to 3 people who have accepted yet somehow end up with nobody and now looking down to manager option 265 i personally feel one of 3 options would be best for the club.....Delap, Jansen or Beardsley.

all could be a risk in terms of management skills (but all managers are a gamble) but them 3 would be the only ones to unite the fans behind them currently, Delap and Jansen are well known amongst most of the old and younger fanbase due to time here and time in the premiership, and Beardsley as probably our most skillful player ever would unite most of the older (more grumbling) fanbase.

Even though it sounds like the accusations are false, i think the racial probe with Beardsley may flog his chance, but at least all 3 have now spent time coaching/managing and would get the fanbase behind team which is the crucial thing.

all other options now apart from Hopkin would lead to fans turning on team/club very quickly if not working.

We offered it to Hopkin, who are the other two?

its absolutely obvious we offered it to both Mcdonald and Slade, but the club ditched it after an enormous backlash from the fanbase.

Our manager hunt has turned into an episode of X factor with the fans currently playing the role of Simon Cowell.

after the last two years of their PR lie b*llocks i'd never trust them on telling the fans they never approached either.

You mean like 'don't believe anything until it's been officially denied'?

probably the safest way to view it. like the Nixon stuff, if he wasn't that fussed about the FL/Fa stuff being priority for him you'd give it up to show the fans you have club ahead of personal gain.

Black and female? She must work for the BBC already. Although if she’s lesbian then she probably works for the local council. Keep their quota up.

I see Lee Fearn (fitness and conditioning coach) has decided to leave, on it's own not a huge thing but when you add it to the departures of several players who rejected new contracts and also the commercial director you do wonder.

Sounds like rats and sinking ships, you better hope you are in shallow water or you might go down a long way!

What real world situation would shallow water be an analogy for? Propped up by other clubs who are shitter than us? Only Morecambe and Yeovil seem to be challenging us in that department.

Sounds like something could be announced tomorrow regarding a takeover and then maybe a manager shortly after.

No way, unless this is our board's definition of take-over which means someone loaning us a small amount of money to tide us over and then nothing changing. Maybe they're going to announce Lionel Richie as our new owner/manager.

Does Matt Jansen live in the Carlisle area still? I presume having spent much of his career at Blackburn and now managing Chorley, he probably lives down that way. Just cos I've seen a smart looking car parked up near me with a personalised plate spelling Jansen.
He has A silver range rover with the number plate m4tty or something along those lines

Keith Curle is massive favourite to be our new manager. What kind of manager is he? What's his playing style? Long ball etc? Any info would be much appreciated.

Likes ball playing defenders and playing out from the back to a fault, will often persist in trying to get defenders to play that way even when they can't. He seems to prefer holding midfielders with wingers and target men providing the threat, but was pretty flexible in his time with us and has made use of attacking midfielders and tricky forwards like Devitt and Asamoah too. I'd say he's a pragmatist and is not above playing long-ball when the situation calls for it and loves a good substitute (I believe under Curle we had the highest number of points won after making substitutions). I hope your local media reporters are prepared for interviews where they can't get a word in edgeways and Curle asks himself more questions than they do.

Asamoah will probably rock up in Macclesfield if you find yourself short in attack during the season, and expect he will try and sign Hallam Hope if he's your manager next summer.
