I know it's been said a thousand times, but what an achievement it has been by Warnock, and he leaves us with plenty of well wishes. Much the same as all of us, I would have liked him to stay and make us a competitive mid-table side, but due to his short time with us, we now have a far better list of applicants(It's pretty much safe to assume) than we did when releasing Redfearn and League One bound.

We are a Football Club with minimal debt. A fantastic Stadium playing our Football in the 2nd tier. A Chairmen who supports his Manager and on the whole a club that feels connected to its community(See Leeds, Cardiff, Blackburn etc. for the opposite). This is a great opportunity for someone.

I would like an experienced Manager. Someone who knows the Championship but also has a track record of success. My choice would be Neil Lennon(Has any club ever had 3 consecutive Neil's on the trot??). Other than that, Stuart Gray is an option. Maybe Malkay McKay.

I know we'll get it right.

TS normally follows a good appointment with a shite one.

I'd take Malkay McKay but after Lennons latest escopades with Bolton and Gray with Fulham I'd stay well clear.

Jesus, so we go from Slade & Trollope to Slade & Trollope. The ambition we have shown is incredible. Still at least he'll be given a chance unlike Russ! Can't wait for next season already..

One positive though is that the utter clown that is Scott Young won't be here next season!

Trollope is a pretty strange appointment for Cardiff, not managed in years although he did a pretty good job at Bristol Rovers even if it ended poorly. Hasn't he been in the Wales coaching set up recently? If he gets the time he may do well, but with Tan as the owner anything could happen.

As for Warnock I always expected him to leave, Stuart Gray would be a good appointment for Rotherham in my opinion. Gets his team defending brilliantly it's just going forward that let him down when he was here, I think he could see Rotherham to a mid table finish.

Sounds like Tan's gone proper mental at Cardiff. Although some would say he went proper mental years ago.

That would suggest they've got something lined up then wouldn't it? Either that or they couldn't agree on something like budgets?
What do you think has happened?

Nope, everyone at the club expected him to be signing today and announcing it.

Imagine they haven't got a clue at the minute, Tony Stweart foolishly put all his eggs in one basket.

He's realised we need someone in the mould of Evans or Warnock with their temprement judging by what he's said, so maybe someone like Di Canio.

Hope not, we didn't have the side you had and still haven't, he'd fail miserably with out resources.

That would be either brilliant or a total car crash! Entertaining though.

It's mad, he'll do some good things like reduce ticket prices or convert half the debt to equity, then give a massive fuck you to everyone and do something like this.

Seems like from what you're saying he knows the business side of things but knows nothing about football.

I know what my money would be on mate! ;)

At the same time it's impossible to judge managers, as I've found out from past experience. Just a matter of finding the right club.

When did this happen?
Think it was during the Premiership season, the guys a fruitcake! Tbf he does seemed to have calmed down a bit since then, still didn't stop him from turning up to a training session earlier this season and tell everyone they need to shoot more.

Can't see Robinson going to Leeds, built up a decent reputation for himself at MK Dons and can have a good crack at getting another promotion on his CV next season. Leeds is a basket case club at the moment and working under Cellino must be impossible, I'm surprised they aren't keeping Steve Evans he's not done a terrible job since taking over.

Robinson would walk on broken glass to take over here.

Looks like Robinson turned us down :animatedf:

Good news, mind. Didn't think he had that much sense.

Clarke getting the gig would be even more funny than Robinson. Please make it happen Massimo.

Yeah, imagine Cellino's reaction to him stood on a chair in the Peacock, pissed up, singing MOT?

We're gonna have a shite manager however it plays out. Quite funny that Evans is probably better than who he's going to be replaced by, but hopefully they'll be reasonably likeable, as we finish in another bottom half position.
