Stevenage win lowest away following so far then? Even surpassed their excellent following at Oxford all those years ago.

very happy with the attendances tonight, I think alot of damage was done.

as i have mentioned afew times alot of the clubs tonight tried a very sneaky £5 adult and £1 kids price to get in.................why cannot they have offered this deal in previous years..........oh because it was done to try and spite the boycott and not to help the fanbase.

so in most of these games you can half the crowd in terms of income they received (usually clubs charge about £10 for these games)

I'd say all clubs made good losses tonight across the board which is excellent, plus some fab photos were generated.

Hopefully the real shit attendances will come in the B team "home" games.

Some really disappointing attendances there. I was hoping for more 3 figure attendances and maybe the odd 2 figure

Most of them seem well down on last season, even if they are still higher than expected/hoped. Considering this whole thing was to improve attendances and apparently help the England team, I'd say its a massive failure on both counts based on tonights showing.

Any chance they were giving the middle finger to the tournament too by playing only one English player?
Do the FA care what the PL teams are doing? I hardly expect there to be any repercussions for the youth teams.

They'll just be sticking their fingers in their ears going 'lalalalalala' as we speak. They're on a mission and any evidence the plans are bogus and the aims not being met will simply be ignored. Instead one player who played tonight will make the England squad in about five years time and the whole thing will be hailed a massive success.

I'm glad we've won again as it keeps the unbeaten run going, even if it's a devalued competition.

No surprise with our away following, 100-150 of our fans will watch us no matter what.

Flawed comparison. Doesn't take into account attendances for previous seasons were - at least partly - in later rounds.

True, however you are never going to get a direct comparison of home ties in the first round.

Of those on there, Port Vale, Shrewsbury, Accrington, Scunthorpe, Wimbledon, and Northampton were all last years 1st round tie, and apart from Northampton they are all well down on last seasons, and that's not taking into account any offers that some clubs did tonight (Northampton for example were sold at £10 for adults).

Just need Malta to win at the weekend now then and we can scrap this shit Monday

Stevenage were again toothless up front and quite poor. They were not helped with the sending off though, which looked a tad soft.

Can only take so much playing against ten men all game.

Big up to anyone who boycotted this, this evening. We went to the extreme by getting relegated to avoid participation in this gimmick, but your sacrifices are all just as worthy.

So Coventry beat West Ham under 23's tonight rather convincingly.

I presume there's one more step between that and our inevitable world cup win. Or are we ready now?

We drew but lost on pens to MK Dons. That's... confusing to type.

Akinde (Pen) didn't feature in the shootout which is a shame as we know what would've been the result of that.
I heard that before each of Barnet's penalties Akinde ran into the box and fell over got tripped by the MK keeper each time just to make it feel more realistic...... :P1:

I went crown green bowling tonight instead!
We now have Chesterfield and Wolves U23 away - after getting walloped 3-0 at home tonight I can't see us progressing - can you imagine if we took 0 fans to those games? If anyone can manage that it'll be us...

Happy to win 3-0, even in this pile of garbage competiton.

Happy to see pitiful attendances at almost every game. Hopefully this plummet continues right through the group stages.

Our fans on the Stanley forum were saying your lads played some really good football and were better than us all over the pitch

Accrington (a club with small attendances anyway) having to travel all the way to Wolverhampton (quite a distance) to play a reserve team (and not even a premiership one) with nothing to play for (assuming Accy also lose to Chesterfield). If any attendance is going to be 0 I'd think it would be away fans at that one.
