392 at Fleetwood's match last night, they were all housed in the Parkside so I can only guess the atmosphere was dreadful. In fairness reading the match report it was a really good game but clearly the competitions sucks !

It was an OK game, there's more atmosphere on the moon than there was at Highbury last night though.

I'm disgusted with each and every one of those who attended last night especially as if pay on the gate was available even more would have gone. These are the same people who will be the first to whinge if B teams are allowed in the league.
I'm sure we'll be the first to whinge. Honestly I think a lot of the people who attended last night are armchair fans, or just fans who support the club but don't really care for the bigger picture or tradition or the independence of their local team. I've heard a fair few people argue that they couldn't care less whether B teams are brought in or not.

Crowd announced as 1095 with 40 away fans, but that looks pretty generous on both sides...

Maybe your game was tonight as our infamous police force couldn't cope with 2 massive games on the same night

Good to see us and Hartlepool making the most of the stupid suspension rule with a twenty two man brawl.

The other massive game last night was the one day cricket international at Trent Bridge.

Hignett's post-match comments alluded to the brawl being a deliberate attempt to avoid playing any more in this godforsaken competition.

I mean, playing Wednesday night, when you've got the mighty Stevenage on Saturday who've had an extra day's rest. We'll be lucky to keep the score down to less than 6.

So we've had round one of the efl trophy (well apart from lets make the rules up just for them Chelsea)

Do you think the boycott worked in the end? Do you think round one went to the boycotters or the efl?

Gates well down coupled with reduced prices to try and stop gates being well down i would say it definitely worked and would expect the next round of games to be even lower.

You don't need police at the cricket... you need St John's Ambulance and the Salvation Army and you're set.

I work for St. John (no s at the end, and not as a paramedic) they did cover the game.

And what a bloody game as well, wish I was there!

I find it staggering that 1k people bothered to turn up to watch Notts Hartlepool last night. What would posses anyone to go?

I think the protests are fairly pointless. The premier league has too much power over the EFL, if the big teams like the run out for their youngsters, it will continue

If it is to be continued next season then L1/L2 clubs needs to come together and refuse to play in it. If there's enough what are they going to do? Even for the clubs that have voted in favour of this must be thinking what's the point with the crowds as low as they are.

I am interested to see what kind of away following travels when we play the u23's away from home. We've got Derby. I bet about 400 twats will end up going to that

I think it would be a real shame if so, there should be everyone not bothering with that.

As said elsewhere, it's a free world but i find it unbelievable that folks would travel to watch us play that - i find it patronising

We have Sunderland at home next , for anyone that doesn't know , Hartlepool is full of plastic Mags and Mackems who the latter will fill the ground , so frustrating ...if all those plastics supported thier home town club Pools could be a Burnley type club ....I'm sure Mansfield and a few others have similar issues

Come down and look at the main line train station in Crawley on a Saturday morning. It's depressing. Being a new town though they all argue that "my dad supported West Ham, Tottenham, Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Brighton et al so they will too".

120,000 people live in Crawley and we struggle to get 2,000 for a game.

We would if we had Derby at home, their fans would probably come, but we're away to them.

As for Forest, yeah they'd be the same as Sunderland, but they're not in it (to my knowledge) or weren't invited.

it's sickening

We've got Sunderland away which should have virtually no one as an away following. Miles away, played there a couple of years ago anyway etc.

How much did crowds increase when you were rising up through the leagues to L1?

I was reading Ben Smith's book on holiday last week, interesting read!

Our crowd has increased from the conference days on average but for the bigger matches we only match it (obviously away fans add to the gate).

The new Brighton stadium and now the the Olympic stadium draws people away and we get 'special offers' advertised. Go to a premier league side on a coach from the train station for £20 was one I saw. Meanwhile we served up 3 years of dross.
