Nolan was 'Not Needed' by Wrexham & Lincoln, he then was our stand out performer from January and helped us get promoted... i think there is only 1 winner here
I think it was more than that. He had a really good spell of games then I think he did his hamstring and was then out for a few games, so I think it was a case of that, mixed with the fact he wouldn't have been on a small wage, which we can't really afford to pay to possible injury prone players, unlike Grimsby.

15 year old Sonny Hilton has disappeared to Fulham for an alleged six figure compensation fee. Didn't even know we had him.

Excuse me for sniggering but that shows you exactly how Nolan is, no loyalty to anyone. I can understand him leaving Lincoln because our style of play never suited so we didn't get the best out of him. However since he joined you I thought he would stay with Grimsby now that he is a regular starter and playing well. Not sure Chesterfield is a step too far. Never any doubt his football ability, his attitude however is like a petulant child.

Callum Powell, a winger of Rugby Town, is next through the door.

Nolan to Chesterfield doesn't surprise me, I said while he was with us he was the best CM in the league after he ran the game against Wrexham and York, he was destined for the FL and the only reason it's took so long is because his attitude is shocking.

Agreed, a very good footballer, but a very bad attitude.

Most Wrexham fans always seem to judge a player on whether they have heard of him or not, which is bizarre considering a lot of our best players have come from nowhere. People like Carlos Edwards, Dennis Lawrence, Andy Morrell, Juan Ugarte, Matt Derbyshire, no one had heard of these players and they were excellent.

I don't think this new winger is a shoe in to start straight away (unless he has an outstanding pre season), but you need to have players on small wages and hope they turn into a gem, then you can spend more on someone like White or whoever. You also have to remember that Mills is rebuilding his squad again and is going to be bringing in at least 10 more players, you need squad fillers.

Didn't Wrexham make like ten billion pounds worth of profit last year or something? There was a thread on here about it.

Wrexham will finish 9th. One place below Gateshead.

We needed an experienced head at the back, he's always looked ok when ive seen him.
Agreed. Tall, experienced, commanding, exactly what you want. I don't know how fast he is, but hopefully he'll have someone who has pace next to him anyway. He seems like a bit of a utility man too but I hope he's just been brought in as a centre back and that's all. Pretty good days work I'd say. Just remember he's got a lot more to bring in yet, you need competition for places.

Thank God he's back in the FT game.

Good signing for Wrexham and a versatile one. CB, CM or just off the striker if you fancy lumping it. An obvious threat at set pieces, and a good one to have when defending them, too.

Why did you let him go? He looks a really good signing to me. I'm not fussed that he was part of a defence that got relegated, he needs better people around him.

He opted to move from memory, although he was one of Simpson's lads, like Tomlinson for example.

Bencherif is a good powerful central midfielder who can score goals, but he's a bit of an accident waiting to happen in central defence in my opinion.

We have also signed a player called callum Powell. He is an ex Northampton youth player who has spent last few years in Vancouver on a college scholarship
