Cox is going OTT with Turnbull.

He's technically out of this world. He's captained Macclesfield for two or three seasons and to get him is one hell of a scoop,” said Cox of the former Stockport County and Northampton Town man, who rejected the offer of a new deal with Macclesfield and whose Barrow contract starts at the end of the month.

Eurgh. Yet another bankrolled Hobby Club in this division. RIP the proper Non-Leaguers.

We've signed these two know nothing of them but 24 appearances in league one and playing with Anthony Martial at Youth level sounds very promising

Both came through at French clubs Traore at Le Havre and Chemlal at Caen apparently, and are former youth internationals,

Drissa Traore (defensive midfielder) played 24 games for Swindon last season in League 1. Got suspended for doing laughing gas. To have played that many games shows he must be half decent though. Has also been capped at u21 level for Ivory Coast.

Mohamed Chemlal (attacking midfielder) got 5 goals and 8 assists for Le Havre B in the French 5th division, and turned down interest from a number of French clubs to sign for us. At 17 he was called the "new Ben Arfa" and was reportedly attracting interest from Spurs.

Needed to strengthen the midfield, so these two should hopefully help with that. Need a goalkeeper and an out and out goalscorer next.

We have just signed Curtis Tilt from Telford? Any good? Never seen him play

Best defender I've seen in this league. Doesn't look technically great as he's quite tall but looked quick aswell. Could be wrong but all I do know is he was different class when Telford played us last season.

Andy Halls now signed a new deal, I'm getting very hopeful we can put together a decent challenge this year - for the Mid-table Mediocrity Cup once again.

I think that brings us up to 11 players.

Are you allowed to play rush keepers in this league?

Well we wouldn't have been paying him too much. Where's he said this?

Anthony Barry won't be cheap, he'll be taking Fowler's wages up.

As the Kiddy fan points out, surprising in a sense as he was left out by Still to begin last season and hasn't really had a future here since last summer at the very least.

Did a fairly decent job at the back end of our title winning season where we were just grinding games out to see out the season and had a few injury issues to central midfield players. I had hoped he would make the step up to league level and he started the first few games in our first season back in the league but he was clearly out of his depth culminating in a sending off, and dreadful performance at Shrewsbury i believe. After that he made the odd appearance here and there in the rest of that season but always looked like he was in over his head to me. This season he has been a forgotten man somewhat, a bit like Williams actually. We have been trying to get rid since last summer.

I wouldn't say he is particularly technically gifted or mobile for a centre mid (he is a little bit ungainly looking) but he tries hard and is capable of picking out a decent pass every now and again. I'd say the conference is probably where he is suited.

He is a bit of character though and has a sideline as the rapper Kamikaze. Not sure why I am posting this here as it is worthy of the tinpot thread but here is his Champions rap for you all to enjoy:

I feel really sorry for you guys, Barry can't have got any quicker of body or mind (on the field I mean) in the past 2 years and he was excruciatingly slow with both when with us.
And looks like he has hardly played after moving to Accrington Stanley.
2015-16 season: P8, started just 3, last league appearance in November.
2014-15 season: P13, started 10, of those dragged at HT 3 times.
Completed 90mins twice in a league match in the past 2 seasons.
Sounds very Fowler-esque.

We've re-signed Jake Caprice. Good.

Now just waiting on the announcement that Scott Rendell and Jake Cole have signed for Aldershot.

How did Caprice do this season? I'm going to take a guess as better going forward than defensively.

Did you ever play him on the wing?

He was pretty good. Some question marks over his defending but got forward and linked well with Andrade (RIP). Puts in some unreal crosses at times. From what I can remember he only played on the wing when coming on as a substitute. There seemed to be some sort of problem with him and Lord Hill at one point, where he wasn't being selected when he should have been. That appeared to be resolved towards the end of the season. Probably not many better right-backs out there that we can afford.

I'm not sure, but someone could do a job there. I mean, Cameron Belford was like having an outfield player in goal and we were winning most games comfortably for the first third of last season.

Mills was asked about the types of players he was still looking to bring in. He mentioned a keeper, "We can't go into a season without a goalkeeper" he chuckled.

You did last season Gary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tranmere have re signed right back Lee Vaughan. I'm not overly excited with this signing. I think he's a little bit better than your average Vanarama right back and better than Ritchie Sutton in that position.
