We've re-signed Ryan Lloyd on loan from Port Vale until January. Was on loan here last season and did well.

Good signing that, but the downside is it will push Sam Hughes further down the pecking order. I'd like to see Sam playing every game. Apparently Macca doesn't fancy him.

I'd expect Lloyd to battle out with Hunt for the slot on the left.

Not sure it's a case of McCarthy not fancying Hughes, althougth I wouldn't know to be honest. I just think the role he plays is being carried out by the captain. Shaw offers a bit more going forward so it looks like either George or Hughes alongside him.

Not sure why we signed Wade Joyce, hasn't featured in the matchday squad at all yet and unlikely to either.

York fans. Marvin McCoy - any good? I know Wealdstone fans rated him highly and he played nearly 100 games for Wycombe, been unattached since January.

We now have McQueen, McLean and McCoy in our ranks. And McMahon as manager.

York fan speaking for the masses - he is absolutely gash.

Sam Hughes on the bench covers quite a few positions inc CB.

Eastleigh have signed Jason Taylor after he had his contract cancelled by mutual consent. Did a good job for us when required, a midfield destroyer and a leader on the pitch, a good signing for this level.

Confirmed earlier today. Youth loan until January 1st. Seems he's a winger who Cowley had at Braintree last season.

Good signing, that.

We've just signed Sammy Moore on loan from Leyton Orient until January. Was class when he was with us before, and exactly what we are missing.

Chuffed to bits, hopefully we can get him on a permanent deal after

Let's hope he starts him then, when Essam came back last year 'on loan' it must have been five or six games before CK started him, and now even worse, he has dropped our best player for picking up two yellows! We desperately needed a centre midfield and hopefully Moore will be him from what I remember he was a decent player when here before and has got better since then...so maybe the manager will drop his son to play him????

He will do a decent job in the Conference, he was ok for us, but not the sort of player to get you promoted from League Two - Doesn't have the tecnhical ability to go higher than League Two.

He may well join pernamently as long as we don't pick up any injuries.

We all know CK doesn't like to change a winning side, leaving Miller out didn't make any difference. Hopefully he's back in the side for Saturday though. CKJ had a good game by all accounts on Tuesday but hopefully Moore slots straight into his space - that said, they are two very different players.

We don't have any plans to get promoted from League 2 in the foreseeable future so I can live with that. Local lad, great for the club

I hope you're right in both instances but afraid I cant see either of them starting, and its so frustrating. To be fair, CK Jnr did have a decent game Tuesday, as did Parkinson certainly in effort, but Moore is a better player, and certainly more creative, so surely he has to play as should Miller. How the hell do you drop someone, more so our most importantb player, just for picking up two yellow cards?. Yes it was a brilliant result, but to be fair up until their keeper made two mistakes, one colossal, one huge, it looked a nailed on 0-0, but thankfully we won, but in doing so and if he reverts to type it means the same starting eleven even though in doing so he is not playing the strongest team....madness

I find it unbelievable that some Dover supporters still can't see that CK knows best. He's proven us all wrong time and time again, and this signing is another one of them times. If I was picking the side I'd have Moore and Miller in, if he doesn't then I'll wait for the full time result before criticising.

Think it was a case of making a point to Miller that he needs to learn to control himself and he's not guaranteed a place in the team. Not 100% sure it was necessary because Miller has also been the perfect professional as far as I can see, and judging from his Twitter he is more aware than all of us that he let himself and the team down.

What CK has done for us is quite outstanding no one will argue against that, but it would surely be a bit arrogant of any manager to assume that he always knows best, it's why so many fail. I suppose I am just a bit more pragmatic, and to me regardless of the win Tuesday if CK believes Moore is better than what we have, he should start regardless. If he doesn't and we will still win, it still doesn't make it the right decision.

He hasn't failed though, he has had a longer and more successful career than most managers at this level could dream of.

There's nothing pragmatic about guaranteeing players a place. It can only be good for Miller to know he has competition. Why drop a player who has done nothing wrong? Personally I'd pick Moore over CKJ, but I completely understand if he doesn't. Moore will come on if he doesn't start and that will be his chance to earn a start.

I never said CK failed Sir, read it again, I just said 'any manager' it was just a generalisation, and if Moore does come on, does well, as we all hope he does and the team wins, which we all hope they do, the chances are, as I am sure you would agree, is the norm, that he still wouldn't then start the next game either, or the game after that if we won again and so on. If Rooney, Aguero, Costa or Pogba, etc, got sent off or was injured and missed a game, and the team won in their absence do you think any of them would be on the bench the next game or would they all play?
Not just in this instance I grant you, but in any instance, of course you drop players if they haven't done anything wrong, it happens at any club and every level, and they do so because the manager feels he has a better alternative.
It's like the relay at the Olympics, if a certain starter is not feeling well, has a little niggle or whatever, he doesn't run, and the replacement comes in, does the heats and the semi finals and in doing so helps the team go through unbeaten to the final. The other runner has by the final recovered, and 100 times out of 100 he comes straight back in and the reserve runner is elbowed aside and doesn't even get a medal. Is it fair?
Probably not, is it the right choice, in my opinion, most certainly. Most important though, even if we disagree on Moore, on both in fact, is that we get three points Saturday

I hope Moore starts, I agree with you. But I won't be angry if he's left on the bench for the first hour. Won't be bothered at all if Miller doesn't start - why drop a striker who's scored 2 in 2??

The 100m analogy is stupid because the 100m relay doesn't have a subs bench you can use mid-race if the selection doesn't look right. They also don't have a 46 game season in which they need to use all 20 odd members of their squad and keep them all happy. It won't do any good for CKJ to play out of his skin then get dropped the next game.

There's no point debating it anyway, what will be will be and have faith in the manager who has taken us to 3 play off semi finals in 4 years.

I agree so not going to debate this one anymore, I think you should always play your best possible eleven, you don't. No problems with that, we will agree to disagree

Dominic Smith on loan from Shrewsbury until January. A 20-year-old centre back - anyone?

He was on trial with us 2 years ago in pre-season, but we didn't sign him. He looked quite lightweight and I remember him being beaten quite easily several times. Given he was only 18 though, he has probably developed into a better player since then.

Played regularly in the 2nd half of the season for us last year. Still got a lot of learning to do but a promising young defender. Experience against some burly centre forwards will toughen him up. Should be a decent signing considering his L1 experience. Good deal for both teams

Played 1 game away at Alty left the post from a corner as Alty scored directly from it never saw him again.

Callum Davies has gone on loan to Folkestone for 3 months.

Expected more from him to be honest, been a major disappointed for us. Seems decent going forward, but looks a liability when he has to do his job and actually defend.

Should be playing along Danny Livesey most the time, who'll take care of the dirty work and should provide some experience to help him out. We just need someone who isn't going to shy away from a tackle and make a daft error every game (like our current option).
