So you don't believe Reece Styche will step in to save the day?

We've loaned out 2 more to National South sides, Harry Hickford has gone to Bath on a 3 month loan and Louis McGrory has gone to Hungerford for a month.

That's 6 we've got out on loan now, with another couple quite likely to go out as well I'd imagine.

Justin Johnson signs for us on a season-long loan from, you've guessed it, Dundee United. Meanwhile our semi-talented wastrel of a striker, Reece Thompson, has gone to North Ferriby on a permanent deal. He'll most likely start knocking them in for fun now, and will certainly score against us (why couldn't Heed have got rid of Bowman sooner?). The lad has some talent but attitude seems questionable.

Salford sign 36 year old midfielder Richie Wellens from Shrewsbury ahead of tomorrow. Will have a field day against our non existent midfield

As rumoured yesterday, striker Macauley Bonne has signed on loan from Colchester until October 26th.

As I was saying.

The next to go out is goalkeeper Jonny Maxted, who's joined Guiseley on loan till January. Decent keeper, should do a job for them.

Debatable, I think he's terrible but it's all about opinions :)

Make that seven with Jonny Maxted also on loan. I reckon that leaves only Joe Stokes as loanable, all the rest of the squad are playing regularly under the current rotation system.

He turns 21 then so maybe a further loan from youth to normal maybe?
Maybe so.

Other than not counting towards the number of loans in a match day squad, I'm not sure what other benefit there are? Maybe exempt from the 93 day loan rule? Not sure.

Bonne should be excellent if he plays up front. Has scored plenty at every level when given a run of games as a striker but, unfortunately, for the first team we always seem to stick him out wide. His goals to minutes ratio when playing centrally is as good as anything I've ever seen at Colchester, he has so much potential.

Yeah, he'll be central. No doubt about that.

Is he a target man type? Pacey?

We had quite a few youth loans last season and basically from what went on with ours it seems they can be extended for as long as you want or ended pretty quickly be either party as well.

Apparently other things are:

1. Unlimited Youth Loan Transfers are allowed to or from National League Clubs
2. Such a player must continue to fully comply with the programme of education in place for that player
3. He may continue to train and/or play for his loaning club in games other than first team matches although first team matches for the borrowing club take precedence
4. Minimum period is for 28 days

Sounds as though the loan will be until January, but because he turns 21 halfway through it, it will go from a youth loan to standard loan.

Sounds good to me, nine goals in league one should be able to cut it down here!

He's bigger/stronger than he first looks but not convinced he's too good as a lone striker. He does have a little bit of pace about him, comes alive in and around the box as a bit of a poacher really. His stats are skewed by all of the two minute substitute cameos (there have been loads!) and the times he's shoved out wide, so he's far better than it may appear from a quick glance over the figures. Really he deserves a proper run in the starting eleven here to be honest.

That's fair enough. Cowley doesn't go with one up top, so he'll be playing off Rhead who's the target man.

Expect Bonne to start from the bench tomorrow anyway, doubt he will drop Marriott or Rhead unless one is injured. Sounds like a decent player to bring on from the bench though should we need it.

See off our Twitter Johnny Maxted has gone to Guiseley on loan. Bit surprised, thought he was our regular back-up keeper. He'll not be short of practice if Guiseley's season carries on like it's started.

I'm out of town this weekend and I saw he scored for us, I was so confused.

Both came off the bench and looked pretty useful

Also Dumebi Dumaka has gone on loan to Concord.....sadly i think this is the last we seen of him in a Stones shirt. A lot of potential but his effort levels are majorly lacking, whenever he played this season he looked like he really didn't give a shit.

We had Mavila on loan last year, not good enough for this level yet IMHO. Seen a lot of Enver-Marum when he was at Basingstoke and he was decent there, so could well do a job for you.

Gateshead fans - Is Toby Ajala still with you?
Anyone know? Apparently according to rumours on Twitter he is on trial with us?!

Dont belive it myself either but this same source has stated some other more interesting rumours. Trying to work out if he is trustworthy or not.

Mavilla is raw - direct, pacy and can put in a good cross too but his decision making left a lot to be desired. As for Enver-Marum, carthorse would describe his performance against us last month.

Pretty sure he came on against us last Monday.
