Had you released him or had he been offered a new contract with you lot?

Fancy going to BWood. Awful.

He was released. Got dumped out the side in March and looked like he'd never play for us again until Rowe had to bring him back in towards the end of season when injuries left us short in defence. To be fair to him, he dealt with it professionally but you only have to look at his defending for Notts' 3rd goal in the play-offs to see why Rowe didn't fancy him.

In short, there is better out there for cheaper.

Hope it works out for Bloomfield. I didn't think he looked too bad and had potential but yeah abysmal finisher.

Released him just to many lack of concentration moments I’m afraid ( notts late winner) almost seems to nice on pitch at times and wasn’t vocal at all but wish him well (ish as it’s BW)

A two year deal for Bloomfield seems generous based on his track record. A strange one on the face of it.

That makes sense. I thought I'd seen him on your released list but the BWood statement makes out as if he chose them over you.

Evans isn't an absolutely horrible defender, he's quite capable when he's trying, good in the air and strong. But he kind of drifts through games though looking kinda bored? And he makes mistakes due to that, because he switches off a lot. I get the feeling if he had a hugely experienced and vocal man next him to keep him switched on and tell him what to do, he'd be alright. He was on way too much money here though and had to go.

Not convinced by our two signings at all. Hopefully they’re squad signings and the better ones are still to come.

Boreham Wood sign Jacob Mendy on a 3 year deal. Triggered the buyout clause in his contract - as did one other NL club (not Barnet) - and paid their club record fee to get him. Very sad for the Stones but what a player they are getting, probably one of the best young players in the division.

Ah that’s a shame. I would have liked to see him at Meadow Lane. Any idea on the fee?

They do this every year, Garrard flies under the radar as a chronic underachiever.

That said, 40/1 on them to win the league is huge value.

Completely agree. Always seem to make decent signings. Never seem to do anything yet Garrard seems to get plenty of plaudits. Saying that they did beat us in the playoffs a few years ago. They had ferrier and Andrade that year though and Andrade especially was class at this level. Perhaps slightly hard done by not to win player of the division but when Sir Danny Rowe is in the same league what chance do you realistically have

Bloomfield looks the part, big powerful lad,but unforturnatley is soft as clarts.
Think he scored 3 in 22,but mainly appearances fron the bench.
If he had a bit of a nasty streak, there might be a player in there.

The other team was us, probably not willing to offer as much as wood so next time their chairman starts bleating about having no money let’s all remind him. Must be making a fortune on coach parking fees.

Josh Walker is up there as one of my most hated Barnet players.

His attitude stinks, thought he was too good for Barnet so downed tools pretty much all last season as refused to play. He makes subtle digs on social media.

When all this has been said he’s not even that good, no better than this level which proves him going to Dagenham, he thought he was going into the football league.

Guess this signing was on the advice of John Still as he signed him for us.
