I liked him, tidy little footballer who will play in a kind of Jorginho role taking the ball off the back four and progressing it up the pitch. Rarely gives it away but don't expect lung busting runs or goal attempts from him. Think he'll suit your possession based game.

Plenty of our fans were keen for him to come back here to replace Randell.

Yeah, I think our fanbase assumed we'd be in for Frank Vincent as he had a good loan spell with us. It was in the curtailed pandemic season and he was used in a variety of roles; left-back, left wing, central midfield. He fit well into our quick passing game game, good movement, decent skills, lots of potential. I think his primary position is in centre midfield, but perhaps he has a future in that Calvin Miller role.

Sounds promising - that was basically what Doyle was doing for us, so he should have the perfect mentor as well in that role.

He wasn't released, him and 4 or 5 others are under contract that have been told they are free to find other clubs and names have been circulated to clubs.

We had him for a bit and he was okay. Spent most of the time as second choice and then somehow got a move to someone like Shrewsbury. I think Northampton fans thought he was dreadful last season.
