This is now doing the rounds on Twitter and on Red Passion. I'm 100% taking credit for this bullshit rumour.

Not sure what’s happening with any of them, we’ve had to push pre season back to Thursday, led to believe the remaining players have COVID/isolating after the players parade through town last week, half the towns laid up with it.

Oates has had a fantastic season, best of his career in fact, would love him to stay and have a crack in the EFL, but if he wants off nowt we can do.

Funnily enough, someone put on our forum the same thing that I’d heard about Featherstone, but said we can’t announce it for a while because he’s got Covid.

Kings Lynn handling out a two deal to Gold Omotayo is a bit brave

... or stupid. To be fair we do have form in this area, somehow the past couple of seasons as we have dealt with more professional players / agents(?) we seem to think the only way to sign anyone is to put them on a two year deal and had our fingers burnt (but obviously not badly enough) with three or four of last year's squad who played a handful of games between them having originally signed at the start of the NLN campaign. Part of this off-seasons rebuild is trying to offload another batch who are signed up for next season having proved they weren't good enough last year.

He came to us when we just needed bodies and he tried hard and got a couple of goals, everything that was asked of him. He also seems to have a decent enough attitude. But he is very slow, and a bit awkward and doesn't seem blessed with natural football ability. Also he doesn't appear particularly strong given the fact he's built like a brick shithouse.

That’s a good signing for Barnet. What is going on at Eastleigh though? They sold Pierce Bird who seemed well thought of and was practically a regular there last season to KL, and now Marriott, who they only just signed from KL, to another NL rival. Odd.

They always do this, sell off their best players then mount a playoff challenge. Weird, weird club.

That’s definitely Brennan who influenced that signing as we tried to sign him last December.

Even if he’s crocked, an experienced leader at the back would be of great value to Barnet.

Kewell signed him for us when he was our manager. Knows him well.

Big brute of a centre back, nothing cultured or particularly noteworthy really but imagine he’ll be pretty solid.

Good signing for this level, he played a vital part in us winning the league in 2019. Good bloke and a good leader too.

Only downside is he is largely injury prone. He managed to get himself back into our team at the end of last season after Ross Embleton froze him out after he picked up a silly red card in December and he managed to play around 10-12 games in a row and put in some really good displays. Then he picked up another injury.

Sadly he struggles to play two games in a week and alway seems to pick up muscle injuries. Once we got promoted he seemed to pick up injuries every other week - He missed the first 4 months of 2019/20.

But when he played he never let us down.

Wrexham fans we've signed Mark Carrington. Looks like he's getting on how's he been recently for you?

Hes been extremely consistent for us for seasons. Filled in a bit at CB for us last season. He's the sort of player who is never amazing, but he never lets you down.

How many players have Barnet got now? To the nearest 50.

Wasn't convinced when we first announced it due to his age. But seeing all the comments on twitter from Wrexham fans and the comments on redpassion has swung me. Let's hope he's successful here my only concern is we've announced him as a midfielder and him and Montrose aren't young.
